Desmond Harrington is a fucking great actor. I really hope he gets some big roles in the future, seems like he has a Ray Liotta vibe, intense while cool and charismatic at the same time.

Brian was Dexter's greatest adversary, both physically and mentally. He could have blindsided Dexter so many times but instead he led Dexter by breadcrumbs.

Trinity was a great character. But Brian was interesting and that story could have gone on for a couple of seasons. It's almost at if Brian wanted Dex to kill him. What Brian seemed to want was for Dexter to remember the truth. Good answer.

James is so good-looking for an older guy. I always noticed his slight Boston-area accent when he pronounces words the short "o" sound, like in "conduct" or "popular". I didn't always love the character of Harry, but I have to remember that he is flawed, since in essence, he represents Dexter's "other thoughts", not what Harry would've said in life. So, when Harry's "spirit" would goad Dexter or insult him, really it was really all Dexter's own mind.

I don't understand all the Desmond hate. He wasn't interrupting everyone, he interrupted once because he choked on his coffee and that was adorable. Also Desmond has been an actor for awhile, he's not new. He was great in The Hole.

Hannah. She's the reason everything fucked up!
No. Hannah initially did not realize the sister was an issue she'd have to contend with to the extent she did. Deb, on the other hand, knew how her brother felt about Hannah and continued to wreak havoc by going off half cocked and making decisions that later came back to bite her in the proverbial tuckus. Had she thought it through she would have understood that neither Hannah nor any other person would ever displace her from her space in Dexter's life and the best thing she could do would be to sit back and stop interfering in Dexter's life by making others take notice. She increased the threat to both Dexter and Hannah, making it impossible for them to fly under the radar. Had she stepped back and supported her brother, they'd have made a clean getaway and all would be alive. However, I also think Dexter's altruistic move in handing Oliver Saxon and leaving his sister alone with the man was ill conceived, albeit an attempt at being "normal" (a condition that, if everything it seems to be is highly overrated).

Dexter's greatest foes is a three way tie between the Ice Truck killer, Doakes and Trinity.
Crazy scary when Michael was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma while shooting the show.
The original actor who played Spartacus on the Starz series, Andy Whitfield had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma while shooting the first season, so the production filmed a 6 episode prequel for the second season so he could get treatment, but unfortunately he lost his battle less than a year later and they had to replace him with another actor, Liam MacIntyre.
Luckily, he was great as Spartacus, too. But hardly as good as Andy Whitfield, just like anyone else would have been, and it would have sucked to have seen Dexter replaced by someone else.
But, although it was slightly different circumstances, fortunately that didn't happen lol because he was able to be diagnosed in time and beat it.
It's difficult to imagine anyone else playing Dexter.
Dean Morgan can play him.

I don't understand how you would know all this based on an interview. Do you have any legit accounts about Desmond Harrington being an a-hole on set? I have only read positive things about him and I know for a fact that he and MCH are friends irl. In fact, I don't understand any of the anti-Desmond comments here. He is perfectly composed and calm, not loud in any way. He seems like a quiet/cool guy. Are we even watching the same video?

i dont think he will, you know how he always makes sure people are killers before he kills them, he is not just going to kill the only person (who he says) he could ever feel something for.
The guy doesn't seem to be a friendly guy. He's the kind of guy who does his job, gets it over and done with, clocks on and off, and only cares about himself. I get negative vibes from watching all four of them together, but especially from Quinn.
