Just recently rewatched 1-8 OG Dexter (cried like a child at the end, especially since it had been so long, I'd forgotten most of it), then immediately watched New Blood for the first time - I was so in shock, I still have not cried...or, did my soul know, he's not really dead & he'd be back? Bring on Resurrection - I want that SO bad. Looking forward to Original Sin, too, just not as much, because Michael C Hall is one of my all-time favourite actors. To see him go from 'Dexter' to the film 'Cold In July' was epic - characters that were in essence poles apart, but with a smidge of Dexter channelled at the end. You rock, Michael C Hall (& the whole Dexter cast) ❤.
When Dexter left after Rita was killed. And he beat that guy at the boat gas station. Then harry told him it’s alright to show how he’s feeling. When Dexter broke down. Man I cried. I have a problem showing my real emotions. That scene got me
You know, I always wondered if the Trinity Killer told Rita who Dexter really was before killing her... It would have been interesting to see if Rita found out before she died.
@@wonderwomanredsonTrinity did not know that Dexter was a serial killer himself until he was on his table. He just assumed that he was some weirdo vigilante guy.
Just binge watched all seasons. All I could remember from when I watched it the first time is that it was bloody good (no pun intended). Re-watching it all, I was astounded how I'd remembered it as just... bloody good. Dexter was flawless in my mind. Best thing I've watched in a long time. Because I was constantly watching it, at times I actually felt like I was living it, waking up one morning after I'd watched Deborah finding Dexter in the church, thinking *OMG, Deborah knows*. Brilliant! obvs faves Deb, Dexter & Batista.
Michael just seems like a cool dude. I mean the guy looks like he literally just rolled out of bed, threw on some clothes, and showed up without combing his hair. I aspire to be like that. Jennifer seems like a genuine person. Maybe a bit of an introvert and awkward, but she comes off as sincere.
I’m watching again and am on the start of Season 6. That one lady asked “Deb” about her scene with Dexter when Lundy died. Watching it back, I actually could not believe how good that acting was. It was so real. She was phenomenal throughout Dexter, but that scene was out of this world acting. 👏
Jennifer looks completely uninterested in being there. Michael looks like he just woke up. Julie seems like the only one who actually wants to be there.
I have watched Dexter, every single episode, all 8 seasons, I think 4 times through and I just finished New Blood and I'm ready to start Dexter over again for the 5th time. I love the show so much but there are two episodes that still make me bawl so damn much and y'all already know what two episodes those are.
Literally just started to watch this show last week. Im on season 7 right now n fuckin love it. I stayed up late as hell, till like 1am for some n when Rita died, I was crushed n couldnt stop cryin. Then couldnt fall asleep 😂
The only actor in the show whose first and last name during the opening montage credits is written in two separate lines via a line break. Yes, I notice these little things.
Season 1-3 were televisual gold. Michael C Hall was (and will again be) absolutely brilliant as Dexter. Roll on the resurrection . . . You can't keep a good man down.
Best show I ever watched!! I was hooked on that from the start!! I was truly sad it came to an end!! I watched 16 episodes in a row in one day!! I had leg cramps trying to get out of the recliner!! AWESOME SHOW!!
One of my favourite series of all time. Not gonna be the same without Debra though now that shes dead dont really wanna continue seeing what goes on without her in the upcoming series
She did seem ill at ease and I don't understand why Julie acted like she was the bigger deal on the show when she was only in half of the series and not at all in New Blood.
Dude so awesome to see these folks out answering fan questions and interacting! Just shows that they are good people! Even after a decade that’s really cool of them! Good ish! 👍
Jennifer seemed pretty uncomfortable. I think being close to an ex, a true ex, would do that to most people. I dont know for sure thats why she seems so unnerved but i think its a good and educated guess. Unresolved feelings.
They're very close friends so it can't be the ex thing. Maybe she figured Michael would get most of the questions and then Julie kept stepping in and taking advantage of the fact that Jennifer seemed almost shy.
I mean, they claim to be close friends, but people lie when they've got an entertainment conglomerate telling them to smile for the cameras. Her body language says that she doesn't like sitting with or engaging him. Idk what happened in their marriage, but they sure don't look close to me.
@@ContentMadame I've watched a bunch of these from different shows and it seems that the audience can direct too many questions at one or two people and leave the others out. It has to be uncomfortable for the people sitting there getting very little attention. The worse one I ever watched was the cast of Pretty Woman and all of the questions were directed to Julia Roberts and Richard Gere to the point that it was embarrassing for the others. I think the dynamics of these "show reunions" tend to be stressful. From everything I've read, Jennifer and Michael have remained great friends.
27:36 Reminds me of when dexter is watching football with miguel and he says "Im more of a national geographic type of guy... The occasional penguin!"... That line and the face he makes live in my head rent free 😂😂
When Dexter threw Deb threw in the sea, I hated that part because he threw killers there it was like sending Deb to the killers. Also allowing Hannah a killer for her greed, back in his life after trying to kill his sister, hate Dexter for that!!!
Dexter did kill a cannibal in Season 7 I think. BTW I loved both endings of dexter original and new blood. ALl around great writers so NO HATE on either ending both were amazing
It's funny how much difference there can be between a character and the actor portraying them. What surprises me here is how Jennifer almost seems to be lacking confidence, and, in a separate interview, how nice and enthusiastic Eric King is
To have such a panel as these three have to endure so many questions that required no depth from them . Michael looked like he had to dumb down. I've been a fan since Six Feet Under, and the audience most likely weren't even aware of that show. But so many questions that most of us would have asked went unasked.
I can't believe he worked through chemo and radiation as Dexter. Especially knowing how grueling chemo and radiation is. Oh my god it's exhausting. He's a strong guy.
I've heard Jennifer Carpanter's take over the years that she thinks Deb would have arrested Dexter, but i couldn't disagree more. There’s a 0% chance she would have turned Dex in. People will almost always rationalize things for their loved ones in reference to things they otherwise wouldn’t agree with. Sure, if Dexter was murdering children or people at random at that point there would be a decision... but he's murdering killers... and her father Harry who she idolized was the one behind it... and Deb already accepted the Dexter principle when she let the vigilante killers go at the end of the 5th season, which unbeknownst to her at the time was her brother. So she’d let strangers go but not her brother? It’s the same principle. And why would the numbers killed change anything, whether 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. It wouldn’t change a thing. So with those things compounded especially the last thing. There’s a 0% chance she would have turned Dexter in. I adore the show, but the fact that Debra essentially faces the same decision with vigilante’s and lets them go, only to have a dillemna over turning in the person who she loves most in the world for the vary same thing doesn’t make any sense. And it certainly makes no sense for Deb to require Speltzer to get her back to where she already was with the Vigilante killers. However I could see this likely fracturing their close relationship going forward, knowing that your brother is a psycopath and gets pleasure out of killing people. A person in general may not agree with the Dexter principle, but when it’s the person you love most in the world, it’s not very difficult to rationalize even without the 101 additional not turn in Dexter variables. In Deb’s situation there would only be one way I could see her turning Dexter in and that’s if she was afraid by not doing so she wold potentially get in trouble for not but in this instance she’s already an accomplice, not that it would likely ever come back to her, of course as fate would have it Maria finds a piece of plastic reviews tape and sees her, but she had no reason to think that as a possibility and Dexter's pretty convictious especially since he's been doing it so long without getting caught. But even if he was to get caught, odds are nothing would ever come back on Deb in her mind and likely in general.
I would have liked to have seen the Cody and Astor storylines play out in the series the way it did in the books. I'd like to know if Julie is more known as Rita or as Darla.
I wanna give Jennifer a hug, but at the same time a buzzsaw. She (the actual person) is such a puzzle that manages to portray an avalanche of characters.

Season 9 only once. Now I will have to go back & watch it. I hope the Writers & Prod don't screws us over again. This will be the 3x time I hopes it the charm.
@@upallnite3164 hindsight is 20/20 so maybe you are right...he made a choice with Harrison but I can't help but think they could have all met up in up state NY or wherever...heck even Alaska. I dont know. But its my favorite show of all time...gives me a lot of emotions.
My god, I LOVE MICHAEL C HALL!!
The first season aired in 2006. Which means it's 17 years old now.
Quick mafs
I was born in 2005 and just found the show it’s weird huh
I swear Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are 100% high during this entire panel.Amazing
What😂😂😂
Michael C Hall said
“I don't do any more of anything now.” Hall rightly thinks he looks better than he did five years ago, with his vegan diet and “no booze and marijuana, or anything else.” Of aging, he laughed.Nov 9, 2018”
Hall isn’t high, he’s very focused in his responses and articulate.
That scene got me
The scene where Deb shot laguerta and immediately ran to her crying no always gets me. Her acting was insane
Dexter season 5 is unmatchable as long as acting is concerned; people often ignore this fact but it's true
@@teenscorner7828 yeah it was top tier. Season 5 was my favorite season
Dexter blends in very well there.
I want Julie to explain how she thinks Rita would respond to finding out about Dexter's secret
Dexter will always remain the BEST thriller show ever for me. Masterpiece
What a great experience to be a part of! Shout-out to my wife's head!
Is it any good?
@@xxTony_Gxx 😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Holy crap, Julie Benz actually has the Rita laugh in real life. Nooooo!
probably because she is Rita
actually what would warrant a "holy crap" is if Jennifer Carpenter laughed like Rita
Hella annoying
Jennifer looks very anxious here at some moments. I hope she’s okay!!
And Dexter New Blood had Michael's song Ketamine!
Both Michael and Jennifer were absolutely brilliant in the show. S1 remains the best for me but still on top of my list of favourite shows.
30:09 Michael laughing at the dude saying hello🤣🤣🤣shit caught me off guard
Just binge watched all seasons. All I could remember from when I watched it the first time is that it was bloody good (no pun intended). Re-watching it all, I was astounded how I'd remembered it as just... bloody good. Dexter was flawless in my mind. Best thing I've watched in a long time. Because I was constantly watching it, at times I actually felt like I was living it, waking up one morning after I'd watched Deborah finding Dexter in the church, thinking *OMG, Deborah knows*. Brilliant! obvs faves Deb, Dexter & Batista.
same, i just finished after binging all of it. insanely good series and a fucked up and really sad ending...
The cast was excellent, the idea was fantastic.
Really enjoyed all eight seasons. Well acted.
6:20
David Zayas is Bautista for those wondering
I Googled him 😂
Didn't see enough Batista in New Blood, that was disappointing, as I'd got so excited to see his lovely face again.
Thanks tips 😌
The only actor in the show whose first and last name during the opening montage credits is written in two separate lines via a line break.
Yes, I notice these little things.
dexter is the best show ever made
Yaaaa they're back!!! the most epic tv show ever!
i really like seeing Jennifer and Michael together!!!!!
I love them I feel like they’re my friends I love Micheal
Same! I hope to one day meet them
Season 1-3 were televisual gold. Michael C Hall was (and will again be) absolutely brilliant as Dexter. Roll on the resurrection . . . You can't keep a good man down.
I would have loved to have seen this in Pittsburgh. I wished they'd come back!!!
I wish they'd come to the UK!
Julie has the most beautiful smile!
Jennifer Carpenter looks so uncomfortable the entire time. Maybe she just doesn't like these panel type questions?
She did seem ill at ease and I don't understand why Julie acted like she was the bigger deal on the show when she was only in half of the series and not at all in New Blood.
She doesn't like being overstepped by or ignored by the audience
You know this...how?@@rafael4626
I thought she was exactly acting like Deb
She probably doesn't like interviews or panels. People just mistake the actor's real personality with the character on the show.
Dude so awesome to see these folks out answering fan questions and interacting! Just shows that they are good people! Even after a decade that’s really cool of them! Good ish! 👍
It’s the personality of the these three and their energy
Watching New Blood right now, love me some Dexter ❤️
@@ContentMadame Got that vibe too in this video, but in all the other interviews & posts involving them, it seems like they’re genuinely good friends.
They all seem cool, but God most of the questions sucked. Who attended this panel!?
I didn't even realise the girl on the left was rita until she mentioned Rita 😭
I didn’t recognize Rita with darker hair.
Jennifer seems very u comfortable .
27:36 Reminds me of when dexter is watching football with miguel and he says "Im more of a national geographic type of guy... The occasional penguin!"... That line and the face he makes live in my head rent free 😂😂
man i love jennifer so much ❤
Debra
I miss them , miss Dexter Show couldnt they make something like Dexter Legacy Season would have been Awesome
Strange this has popped up as I’m binge watching it …. again 😂
Same. They are spying on us
When Dexter threw Deb threw in the sea, I hated that part because he threw killers there it was like sending Deb to the killers. Also allowing Hannah a killer for her greed, back in his life after trying to kill his sister, hate Dexter for that!!!
My favourite show of all time !!!
Dexter did kill a cannibal in Season 7 I think. BTW I loved both endings of dexter original and new blood. ALl around great writers so NO HATE on either ending both were amazing
season 8
I wish they would bring this show back! Dexter is the bomb!
Debra Morgan MADE Dexter idc what anyone says 💯💯
WERE SO BACK!!! Dexter Resurrections coming in 2025
I'm on season 3 of Dexter and it's brilliant.
It's funny how much difference there can be between a character and the actor portraying them. What surprises me here is how Jennifer almost seems to be lacking confidence, and, in a separate interview, how nice and enthusiastic Eric King is
Man I love Julie so much
To have such a panel as these three have to endure so many questions that required no depth from them .
Jennifer is so beautiful 🩷
2/3 of the way thru before they addressed Michael's mic, why are mics always so terrible in these things?
The only web series that i emotionally attached ❤❤
What about sopranos, breaking bad, six feet under, havent you watched them?
@@Juznapruga123breaking bad deffo Jesse
@@Juznapruga123yep, and his opinion stands corrected.
I wanna give Jennifer a hug, but at the same time a buzzsaw. She (the actual person) is such a puzzle that manages to portray an avalanche of characters.
