  • Nickle Plate Road Pacific #165 and NKP 0-6-0 #384 were in push/pull service at the White Creek Railroad as they hauled a heavy 33 car freight train around Mirror Lake, through Corner Town, and into the Hidden Valley Yard. Enjoy this extreme steam as these engineers haul their train up the steep forest grades on the White Creek line. Thank you for watching the Steam Channel!

pulling 33 cars up the S bend with 2 steamers and even a box cab assisting can be quite a task.

Wow that Pacific is gorgeous. I hope someday I'll have a locomotive of a similar caliber.

I say we had the best seat the the house on the box cab following. Watching this train snake through the woods, then shoving up Apple Tree was a heck of a good time.

22 of those cars were the owner of the railroads. there is a lower car barn that has 12 tracks on it that can hold roughly 19-25 cars on each track. in total i believe the white creek has some 150ish cars in its lower barn.

I’d love to see an aerial view of their whole layout and all their rolling stock. Who makes all those cars, made on site?

you either build it or buy a used one that someone else built, or pay a machine shop to build one for you

They get extremely expensive, but if that's not an obstacle, it's simple enough to get one.
The Steam Channel has a few videos you should check out, "So you want a live steam locomotive", or something similar.

@@GudrezBilly not expensive if you built it yourself

@@jamesm6638 Unless you're literally casting parts yourself, I think they still qualify as expensive. Though considering what you get, perhaps not expensive for what they are.
