I am proudly South African🇿🇦 I own a N54 on e93 2009 model. I think BMW dismally failed on the oil pump. No oil pump sensor which make it difficult to detect a fault on oil supply. The oil starvation is true. It starts with oil light constantly popping up until the crank seize if not attended to urgently. Thanks a lot man. I downloaded your N55 rebuild project. I learned a great deal in repairing the N54 engine🤞🙏

N55 aren't bulletproof want something that's bulletproof get one that has either of the following 3 engines 3 cylinder 1.5 litre B38, 2 Litre 4 Cylinder B48 And the one that's talked about the most the 3 litre 6 cylinder B58 ❤

I have the n63 which is beautiful but an absolute pain in the ass😂
I had a 550 with n63TU and it was a fun engine, but it’s a risky business owning that beast

Funny, had a n55 got a long block at 24k, turbo at 30k
Own a n63r now 80k miles no issues
