  • Welcome back to another episode!
    Clayton and I (Talea) have always started projects with good intentions, however, life always gets in the way and we never finish.... Well, this one we DID!!! We finally get to fix up our much-loved Tinny after dealing with a broken floor during the last few crabbing missions.
    Starting by stripping the Tinny down to the bare seats, we rebuild the floor with no welding required! With little power tool experience, I built a new floor, laid new carpet and built a new console for the sounder and radio, with 'some' help from the boys... haha.
    Follow along to see how it turned out and give you ideas to try for your next tinny project!

    Great job lady, it's the first tinny reno I have seen by a woman. Kudos to you. Tight lines.

    Thankyou for this. I am about to embark on a tinnie resto. I currently am building a wooden kyack, but the more i work on it the more i realize getting a tinnie and modifying would he quicker and cheaper. Great work.

      That’s so cool! Kayak would be heaps of fun to make. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. Either way, it’s so satisfying knowing you’ve done it yourself.

    Great job,the only thing I would do differently is finding a way to not use bolts because the plywood is not flush on the rest of the frame while sitting on bolts

      Yeah would of been good but it actually doesn’t make too much difference when screwing them down on the frame.

    This helped me so much in my current refurb of a '62 12' starcraft! Whats the length of your boat? Thanks!!!

      That's awesome! We watched a fair few TH-cam vids to help us out too. Our Tinny is 13'.

    Wondering why you chose Not to drop the floor down all the way down.

    • @reellittleadventurers
      @reellittleadventurers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because we usually have the four of us in the boat we wanted storage under the floor to put things out of the way. Our tinny is also really stable when standing and moving about, having the floor higher doesn’t make too much difference to balance.
