Korra and Asami, a black haired rich girl that Mako meets in episode 4, will end up together, romantically, in the final episode of the final 4th season.
Finally Tim reacts to the legend of Korra without saying too much that I already know about the show is that every season has a different villain so get ready Tim for another epic Avatar Adventure
I love this. _The last airbender_ is about a human learning to be and live like the Avatar, while _Legend of Korra_ is more about the Avatar learning about how to be and live like an ordinary person.
I took a different perspective. ATLA seemed to be more about the personal journey. Where as KTLA seemed to be focused heavily on the element of family. I do love that these shows are so deep, that multiple lessons can be found throughout them.
Korra and Asami, a black haired rich girl that Mako meets in episode 4, will end up together, romantically, in the final episode of the final 4th season.
I understood some of the criticisms that people made about this show. But I really liked how it was a journey of personal growth as a idealistic/passionate young adult going into the real world and realizing… “Oh crap.” I think I was in my 20’s when watching this. So it resonated with me.
Korra is basically a demonstration of the problems encountered by a child prodigy: she starts off so naturally talented at bending that she has no concept of working to improve things. The second she encounters something she can't just DO she wants to give up on it.
Could be reading too deep into this, but what I like is that each of Aang's grandkids embody part of his personality. Jinora represents his wiser/ spiritual side (though we don't really see that until later seasons) Ikki represents his upbeat personality and social interactivity, and Meelo is his wilder/sillier side!
I love the similarities in how Korra started her journey. Katara and Sokka were trying to sneak away from home to help Aang save the world. Gran Gran caught them but gave them her blessing to help save the world. Korra snuck out from home (also the southern water tribe) to start her avatar journey. Katara (now a Gran Gran) caught her and sent Korra on her avatar journey just like her Gran did.
The dynamic between the two shows. Aang didn't want to be the avatar in a world that needed him, and Korra wants to be the avatar in a world that doesn't want her.
70 year time gap. if you question the buildings, remember we built new york to that size in roughly the same time and they have benders in this world that can accelerate construction from months to weeks
The easiest explanation to her picking up the steps better When she was probending is because she was doing something she was passionate about. Aang always learned better with positive reinforcement but korra is a fighter and headstrong so she needs to be taught as if she is gonna fight
6:34 the writers saying buy the comics lol if you dont wanna buy the comics click the read more Zuko’s mom made a poison to kill the previous fire lord to save zuko’s life, she went back to her village and changed her identity via face stealer’s mother (mother of faces spirit) and married the actual love of her life. She lost her memories but go them back later. Zuko and Azula have a younger half sister. Azula escaped (dont know what happened to her) but Zuko’s mom n youngest sister now stay with him in the palace.
Personally, I liked LOK more than ATLA It is not only the fact that it took a deeper dive into steampunk (which I loved), but also because of the higher level of maturity, depth and the fact that it didn't have to live in the shadow of the original to be great It is just like "Ben 10: Alien Force" or "The Prisoner of Azkaban" Plus, it is easier for me to identify with young adults than children
It's a good sequel series, mainly because how it's different but the same, new culture and style has came into play and Korra is strongly different to Aang. We also have some strong casting, including JK Simmons as Aang and Katara's son Tenzin. The story of Zuko's mother is in fact covered in graphic novels, as is the founding of the United Republic

Back when this continuation of Avatar was announced, I was really excited to see how it would turn out. Even though TLA is the superior series of the two, Legend of Korra is still a great follow up to the Avatar franchise.

Korra is actually a really good show. SPOILERS The only things that I don't like about it are the romantic triangle (specially in season 2, it was completely unnecessary in my opinion), and almost all the final battles have something that prevents them to make them completely enjoyable: Amon vs Korra and Mako, narratively is good and I like the way it ends, but the action itself is almost-non existent and non-epic on that regard. Unalaq's fights were good, except when it became a giant Dark Spirit, at that point it didn't look neither epic or intimidated. Actually the Red Lotus is free of sin here, one of the best Finales (for me, it can even rival to ATLA's Finale in terms of action, drama, narrative, and epic factor). Finally Kuvira and her mech would be fine for me, if it wasn't for the animation, the mech looses a lot of intimating and epic factor everytime it's on screen moving, thankfully many characters and narratives arcs reach a climax here which compensates. That's it, if it weren't for these problems which aren't "criminal", but definitively significant Korra would've been almost if not on equal standing to the original ATLA series. Right now as it is: Korra Very Good Show, ATLA Masterpiece of a show.
@@ncard001. That's not even confirmed in the series (only in the comics I think) 2. If you want to tell spoilers to others, thats one of the least important things to choose from 3. Why do you want to ruin the fun and enjoyment of other people? Don't do this
@@danielmunoz1275 honestly love the final battles in the legend of Korra, because they were so unique. Amon vs. Korra doesn't need much action, because the tense and epicness comes with other moments during the scene. And Korra Vs. Villian of season 2 is so incredibly spectacular and surprising. You would have never expect that from an avatar season. It almost feels like a giant over the top anime fight. You know, TLA did it really epic, but basic, when you compare it with final battles of other Movies/Shows (which is not bad). But the Korra battles are so unexpected and unique
“What happened to Zuko’s mother” Lmao. Korra released before the comics explained that situation, so this was a real teasing moment. I completely forgot.
I'm so glad you're watching Korra! While I think ATLA was better written, Korra is my favorite of the two shows. I feel like it had some really cool concepts plus I liked the more mature vibe. Bolin is my favorite character in anything lol 😂

After the end of the Hundred Year War, all the Fire Nation Colonies in the Earth Kingdom was transformed as a separate nation becoming the United Republic. This show is set 70 years after the conflict's end and the world has started to modernize. The Avatar comics are quite important since it shows us what happened right after the finale still set with the original gang

I guess because ATLA is not a show i binged and only had childhood memories of whenever Nickelodeon aired it, (until like three four years ago) while LoK was more of when I actually tuned in (i was ten when LoK started) maybe it's the family dynamics that I like so much. I understand people's criticisms but still it has a place in my heart and I'm always glad to see you react😊
People are hard on Korra in Episode 2, but they need to be showing Tenzin some of that heat too: His only experience with teaching have been his children, but Korra is a hotheaded teen. Instead of adapting his teaching style to bridge the gap between them so she can grow into the airbending techniques and philosophy, he treats her like one of his kids and tries to discipline her like them, and that just doesn’t work for Korra. And she was right to call him out as a hypocrite for telling her to embrace freedom while trying to restrain her to the island. None of that is to say Korra didn’t have some things to apologize for, but I can forgive her since it’s shown she was isolated growing up and not given much chance to work on her spirituality. As other commenters have mentioned, she was a teen prodigy but wasn’t given opportunities to experience failure growing up, and learning to accept and overcome failure and pain becomes a major theme of the show. It’s really beautiful (especially in Book 4), but some people don’t pick up on that and try to simultaneously label Korra as weak and as a Mary Sue 🙄

I do not care for Korra, but I will say one good thing about the story. We went from fighting an empire ruled by a crazed dictator who wanted to spread the so-called supremacy of the Fire Nation to a crazed would-be dictator who wanted the tyranny of equality. The concept of bending and one who can bend all the elements is an affront to such a concept.
It's very amazing that the characters from the original Avatar tv series has children of their own. And the character Mako was named after the actor Mako iwamatsu in honor of his memory. Also maybe some day Korra will learn how to do air bending.
Mako was actually named after the original voice actor of Uncle Iroh, Makoto "Mako" Iwamatsu! That's so goddamn sweet of the team behind this series! 😢😊

OH MY GOD ITS HERE ITS FINALLY ON TH-cam Tim, you're gonna love this series! It's a different flavor from the original Avatar series but it's still so damn good
something i LOVE about this, is that such technology seen in republic city was able to come about due to the different bending coming together etc, (mentioned by Letts React), but also i was someone who REFUSED to watch TLOK growing up, and i only watched it during the pandemic cos i was like eh, nothing else to watch, and its seriously so freaking good like!!! so excited to see ur reactions timothee!!!
Also avatar studios also announced a couple of animated movies as well as 2 more animated shows don’t really know when they will take place and currently filming for the live action atla remake on Netflix is underway
I really appreciate that Tim recognized right away that she shouldn’t know that many elements as a child. I definitely shut my brain off the first time I watched this series and didn’t even realize how ridiculous it was that she could know even one element, let alone multiple elements as a child with no training.
Something I notice rewatching tlok was how Korra needed to learn more about self control just how we learned that in atla first season when Aang was learning firebending and probably the reason why Korra can’t airbend
Find out what happened to Zuko's mom Ursa in the 3 part comic "The Search" Edit: Kya was the name of Katara and Sokka's mother so named a daughter after her and Bumi Aang's best friend so named a son after him.
People who dislike Korra never gave it a real chance because it’s different from AtlA, I’m convinced. There are some things Korra does better, I dare say, including the animation, action, and character growth (not to be confused with “character development”, as the characters in AtlA are developed wonderfully, but in Korra we truly get to see her grow through trauma and hardship). Korra has its flaws, but it’s wonderfully entertaining and affecting
Remember air is the element of freedom. Korra has been enclosed from the outside world her whole life, hence why she has a lot of trouble learning it. Also I like to believe myself even though she is the water avatar in the cycle, her personality is more like a firebender and if I'm correct she uses firebending way more than water or earth, she's head strong and goes into every situation without thinking things through. I also think the made her personality a bit unlikeable on purpose, bc she hasn't had a lot of resistance from other people in her life so she doesn't know how to react to other people
I don't care what people say, I actually prefer Legend of Korra over The Last Airbender, which is impressive because I love that show to death. I just love Korra more because of the world building, the characters, villains, more mature and complex themes being explored and for the kick ass action.
I love the legend of Korra, I've been watching it since the age of 5. Korra is a strong avatar and though she doesn't take it seriously, she's strong. Thanks I enjoyed the video, see you
Yesss finally Tim!!! I was waiting so long for this to be put on youtube! It’s gonna be another beautiful Avatar journey and i’m gonna be there for all of it! 🤩
Awesome, Tim. Many refrain from reacting to Korra. It's an awesome follow up. Also, new Avatar material coming. Also, animated movies ( *with young adult Aang, Katarra and whole gang* ) Did you know?🙌
This is one of most Favorite shows EVER✔! I love Korra, because she is pretty and strong❤!, She can be stubborn but that is her character. I gonna enjoy every reaction of you while watching this, so you have my support👍!
With a new Avatar sequel series on the way, I can only imagine the new setting It could be a cyberpunk world, where the new Avatar uses the internet to search about Aang and Korra Or it could be a post-apocalyptic world, with a sand-bending Avatar
The whole reason that a lot of fans hated on it originally, was literally cause they just couldn't accept change. Like, yes, is set in the same world. But it's new Characters, and a new Story. OF COURSE it isn't going to be like ATLA. It's still good, granted not AS great as ATLA, but definitely didn't deserve the hate it got.
I watched all of avatar and all of this show they are both great angs kid tenzen is voiced by jk Simmons he is For sure the best character in my opinion
Fun fact: theres going to be a series of avatar movies in the next few years the first will be centered around aang and his friends as young adults and its due out in theaters in 2025
Korra is really meant to focus on an older audience. Its a very different show that focus on politics and ideologies, and how Korra navigates these differences. The bending in this show is far more satisfying to watch imo
yess finaly legend of korra and i love legend of korra👧❤😊❤ i know that some poeple don't love legend of korra beceuse avatar: the last airbender was soo awesome and Amazing but it's a great/a fantastic follow up/seqeul to atla and tim have a good day and I wish you a happy weekend💪😎☀️🤙love from the netherlands❤🇳🇱❤

I would just say one thing please PLEASE do not listen to anyone who says anything bad about this show ITS SOOOO GOOD the fact that this show gives us a major character development to not just korra herself but basically all the characters that are on seen in all seasons is shows us alot of problems that korra goes through that made her the strongest and best avatar alot people hate her and others listen to everyone who says that avatar korra is bad but it’s really not it’s one of my favorite series I literally watched more than 7 times 😭😭😭😭 (sorry if I had any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes English is not my native language)
I love this continuation and here's thing i love well what's the wors polar opposite pairings of korra vs aang Cause when aang you know started he was still a kid but over the series he was growing into the mature person and as the savoir of the world as the avatar wheres Korra she has to do the opposite of what aang went through and be more vulnerable and feel more connected to her spiritual side but you will love THIS show this show gets to MUCH hate for n reason a long with korra too Also fun fact tenzin is voiced by the goat jk Simmons if you didn't know
LET'S GO LEGEND OF KORRAAA BABYYYYYYYY WHOOOOO. Another grate avtar show with amzing plots of chraters I can't wait for all the eps recations you will enjoy it.
Fun fact: Tenzin is apparently a Tibetan name and is spelled (བསྟན་འཛིན) in Tibetan. This is a great attention to detail, because the Air Nomads are based on Tibetan Buddhist monks and nuns!
I understand your dislike of Korra but remember what you learnt this episode. While Aang had a normal childhood up to 12 , Korra was trained as the avatar on a compound. She has no personal or social experiences. So in my mind she doesn't really understand. TLK is Korea's journey to understand how to be a real person in society and life
Finally!! I am so excited for this journey, I really enjoyed this show, specially seasons 3 and 4, Bolin has my heart and you guessed it.. the soundtrack is AMAZING
With everything that’s transpired throughout Avatar: The Last Airbender, I can assure you Tim. The Legend of Korra is also a story worth telling given it’s been decades since Aang stopped Ozai in the Avatar universe.

something i LOVE about this, is that such technology seen in republic city was able to come about due to the different bending coming together etc, (mentioned by Letts React), but also i was someone who REFUSED to watch TLOK growing up, and i only watched it during the pandemic cos i was like eh, nothing else to watch, and its seriously so freaking good like!!! so excited to see ur reactions timothee!!!
Whhhhaaaat? All the channels I watch are watching korra now and I’m so happy😂
Also avatar studios also announced a couple of animated movies as well as 2 more animated shows don’t really know when they will take place and currently filming for the live action atla remake on Netflix is underway
FINALLY! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! 🤩💖
I really appreciate that Tim recognized right away that she shouldn’t know that many elements as a child. I definitely shut my brain off the first time I watched this series and didn’t even realize how ridiculous it was that she could know even one element, let alone multiple elements as a child with no training.
I loved this show so much that I made a video with the style of the opening of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION
Something I notice rewatching tlok was how Korra needed to learn more about self control just how we learned that in atla first season when Aang was learning firebending and probably the reason why Korra can’t airbend
Find out what happened to Zuko's mom Ursa in the 3 part comic "The Search"
Edit: Kya was the name of Katara and Sokka's mother so named a daughter after her and Bumi Aang's best friend so named a son after him.
So to explain the obvious question Aang died in his 60's due to the 100 years he spent in the avatar state taking a toll on his physical body
Definitely Legend of Korra is quite a different journey than the original show but it's still great.
I like how Tenzin *tries* to be calm and collected like his father, when he *clearly* inherited his fiery temper and short fuse from his mother!
6:24 What happened to Zuko's mom? That question is answered in the Avatar comics I recommend you read them Tim
5:34 Good thing they are making a movie (you going to see katara adulthood)
Korra was originally greenlit for only one season, so you’ll see the quality jump around a lot. In terms of story telling and art.
I also think the made her personality a bit unlikeable on purpose, bc she hasn't had a lot of resistance from other people in her life so she doesn't know how to react to other people
And if you pay attention closely she uses water more and more each season
Also, animated movies ( *with young adult Aang, Katarra and whole gang* ) Did you know?🙌
I always got annoyed when reactors would skip Korra after watching the last airbender
This is one of most Favorite shows EVER✔!
I love Korra, because she is pretty and strong❤!, She can be stubborn but that is her character.
I gonna enjoy every reaction of you while watching this, so you have my support👍!
With a new Avatar sequel series on the way, I can only imagine the new setting
It could be a cyberpunk world, where the new Avatar uses the internet to search about Aang and Korra
Or it could be a post-apocalyptic world, with a sand-bending Avatar
The new Avatar would obviously be an Earth-Bender
@@morganghostbusters-egonfan that's why I said sand-bender
@@LeonardoKlotz Oh ok
You have no idea how long I've been waiting for thus, I asked for this last year and now finally you're reacting to avatar legend of korra
"Be the leaf" 😂
The whole reason that a lot of fans hated on it originally, was literally cause they just couldn't accept change.
Like, yes, is set in the same world. But it's new Characters, and a new Story. OF COURSE it isn't going to be like ATLA.
It's still good, granted not AS great as ATLA, but definitely didn't deserve the hate it got.
I still want that TLAB illustration shown in the beginning so bad.
It's easy to compare the show Last Airbender on your first viewing, but the show very much finds its own identity as it goes along. Really excited to see you react to a lot of the big moments in the show.
I love season 1 of this show! Brings back great memories of my cousins, my dad and myself watching. Hopefully you enjoy, Tim! Keep goin’, brother!! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Korra and Aang are total opposites; Aang is spiritual and Korra is more of a hot headed
I love this continuation and here's thing i love well what's the wors polar opposite pairings of korra vs aang Cause when aang you know started he was still a kid but over the series he was growing into the mature person and as the savoir of the world as the avatar wheres Korra she has to do the opposite of what aang went through and be more vulnerable and feel more connected to her spiritual side but you will love THIS show this show gets to MUCH hate for n reason a long with korra too Also fun fact tenzin is voiced by the goat jk Simmons if you didn't know
Subscribing for Korra reactions. I hope you love this show as much as I do.
This is so cool. I like TLOK more than ATLOA
this show gets a little slow in the 2nd season but obv the 3rd is amazing and the last one is pretty good still. cant wait to see your reactions tim.
the legend of korra is beautiful you are definitely going to enjoy aman in this series
Hey Tim In case you didn’t know Mako is named after Iroh’s original voice actor from ATLA that passed during the show
Finally...The watch is over...Time to enjoy the reaction, woohoo!
3 episodes in 1 vid ever week!
Thank you for reacting on legend of korra
This is where the fun begins
I understand your dislike of Korra but remember what you learnt this episode. While Aang had a normal childhood up to 12 , Korra was trained as the avatar on a compound. She has no personal or social experiences. So in my mind she doesn't really understand. TLK is Korea's journey to understand how to be a real person in society and life
2:10 Suki's only appearance in the series, I don't know why there are people who don't consider her part of the Avatar team.
Legend of Korra is 70 years after The Last Airbender
Thank you for uploading this on YT. I love ATLA nd ALOK Series.
No problem!
YESSSS
Finally!! I am so excited for this journey, I really enjoyed this show, specially seasons 3 and 4, Bolin has my heart and you guessed it.. the soundtrack is AMAZING
THANK YOU FOR DOING KORRA❤❤❤❤❤❤
Finally!! The long wait is over. Thank you so much for the great content as always, Tim! 🙌🏻
My pleasure!
Steve Blum also voiced Bane from LEGO Batman 2, so at first I couldn't figure out who Amon reminded me of.
10:11 🤣🤣🤣. I don't know if that was planned or you realized what you were saying as you spoke, but that was funny.
This is the first time I watch this series with you and I am enjoying it ❤😊
Stay tune for more!
With everything that’s transpired throughout Avatar: The Last Airbender, I can assure you Tim.
The Legend of Korra is also a story worth telling given it’s been decades since Aang stopped Ozai in the Avatar universe.
YES! YES! YES! I LOVE THE LEGEND OF KORRA!!! 😍💖
3:49. The person playing the erhu is going nuts!
Finally we got it
2:12 I had the same reaction when I first heard these words! Also, the voice actor is J.K Simmons! 👏
this show will explain the avatar cycle better
