She doesn't hate Dalmatians. She admires their spotted coats and decided they would make a goad fur coat and tried to pay Roger and Anita for Pongo and Purdy's puppies, because puppies have softer coats than adult Dalmatians.
You'd be surprised how hard it is to recognize people with only minor changes, supermans glasses actually do a significant effect if you aren't actively looking for superman in people around you
I love how they did cruella in this movie, it was not like maleficent, were she was actually a good person, cruella was evil, they showed very well done how she become a mad villain and I love this little detail of the dogs from the original movie beeing the child of the one she kept with her. I dont know what they gonna do if they are going to make a remake of the classic movie but they will have to explain why she will hate dogs so much since in this end she is still with her dogs
While I still consider Glenn Close as the superior live-action Cruella, Emma Stone I think did a fine job playing the role, plus I think this was a far more interesting villain backstory than in Maleficent.
I thought the idea of Cruella being an anti-hero was dumb at first but I’ll admit this movie was fun and I enjoyed Emma Stone’s performance in this movie
I am so GLAD you checked this movie, I LOVE this movie so much, it’s probably one of my favourite live action movies EVER cause it just so good, I am sad to see that it didn’t do as well as expected to be, but I still enjoyed it, Emma Stone killed this role of Cruella and now Cruella is like one of my favourite villain because of Emma Stone.
Fun fact: this movie came out on what would have been the birthday of the late Cameron boyce who’s last Disney role was playing the son of Cruella de Vil
I found this movie very interesting and a great backstory into what made Cruella Cruella Basically. Enjoyed the new characters and both Emma Stone and Emma Thomson put on terrific performances same goes for the other actors and the costume designs were amazing 🤩 thanks for reaction Tim glad to see you enjoyed the movie as well 😊😄🖤🤍
You haven't seen all of the Dalmatian films. The sequel to the 1961 film is actually one of the few good direct to video sequels 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure.
I will always love this movie. The lore for it is incredible! Up until the end, of course. I mean, I know in-breeding with dogs is sorta common, but to know Pongo and Perdita are siblings and they have pups together is just … weird. Not to mention, Roger singing that song AFTER he just got Pongo is just plain inaccurate. He should at least have the instrumental for it, considering in the original, he came up with the song on the spot.
Emma Stone’s portrayal of the titular character is impressive. Interesting to note, Glenn Close (who played Cruella in the 1996 version) served as executive consultant to Emma on how to capture the character’s essence and personality. Emma learned from the best.
This movie was such a treat!! Some Heist x Devil wears prada x Spy genre that I did not expect. I really enjoyed the movie so much and the plot twist is insane. The acting, editing, and the outfits incredible
This movie was definitely an interesting experiment. I mean, I don’t think anyone could’ve expected a Cruella De Vil origin story with Emma Stone playing Cruella De Vil. I actually think it’s a decent watch, until it gets to the end where we find out Pongo and Perdita are actually related to each other, which is multiple levels of weird. But aside from that, it’s a good time for those who are fans of 101 Dalmatians.
You've probably already figured it out by the end, but its more an origin story in the same way that Maleficent, not one for one compatible with other tellings in the series.
This one was so close to being a good live action film, if they had just ended it after the line "She killed my dogs and made a coat" it could have been great, but nope the film keeps going.
I may not care much for this movie, but I have to admit that the costume design is spectacular! Which makes sense for a movie about a fashion designer.
It made me think of my grandmother who dreamt to work at the big sewing workshops of Paris when she waw young but never could. Fun fact : the music where Estella is drunk is used in France for thd advisor of the perfume " la petite robe noire " by Guerlain
The movie is ok, but they did a horrible job making Cruela feel like a villain. She's just a teenage punk. Probably the last one who would ever harm an animal or wear fur, and she never even actually does in this movie. They could have did so much more with her backstory instead. An emphasis on her love of fur would be a starter.

Whether or not you like this movie, you have to admit Emma Stone does a great job in the role. And these outfits are so cool.
Emma Stone and Emma Thompson both did an amazing job
Disney remakes need to stop
@@antoniosalieri1048 this one is not a remake, just villain-origin story
@@biag9003 I agree. I never saw Cruella as a typical live-action remake. Villain origin story sounds very accurate.
This was set in the 1970s, which at the time was the era of punk rock fashion.
She doesn't hate Dalmatians. She admires their spotted coats and decided they would make a goad fur coat and tried to pay Roger and Anita for Pongo and Purdy's puppies, because puppies have softer coats than adult Dalmatians.

One of the few live action Disney adaptations I genuinely enjoy

Yes, unlike Maleficient, she has a double personnality.
It's like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
I saw this movie, enjoyed Emma's performance and the fact she didn't get an Oscar or something for her amazing acting is ridiculous.
If you pay really close attention in the beginning when the mom dies, you can actually hear the dog whistle in the background.
I did hear it
Fun fact:Glenn Close, the O.G.,Live action Cruella De Vil, was one of the producers of this film.
Oh really ? That's great
@@a.g.demada5263 Yes.
@@morganghostbusters-egonfan well Emma had a good teacher for impersonating Cruella
@@a.g.demada5263 she sure did
Even Emma Stone was one of the producers of it too
The film earned two nominations at the 94th Academy Awards, including Best Makeup and Hairstyling, winning Best Costume Design.
While I still consider Glenn Close as the superior live-action Cruella, Emma Stone I think did a fine job playing the role, plus I think this was a far more interesting villain backstory than in Maleficent.
One of Disney’s BEST live actions!!!!
It’s set before the events of the first movie
Cruella de vil's backstory is very amazing in this movie.
I thought the idea of Cruella being an anti-hero was dumb at first but I’ll admit this movie was fun and I enjoyed Emma Stone’s performance in this movie
Now thanks to those film, we know where Cruella gets her psychotic personality from
the lovechild of The Devil Wears Prada and Joker
And Harley Quinn
Love this description

8:39 That guy was so rude to Cruella. I know he was her boss, but still that’s no excuse for rudeness.
I kind of like how her dyed hair is red since besides black and White Red is usually shown as part of cruellas colour scheme
This movie had me on the edge of my seat when I saw it at the movie theaters.
Same here. And soundtrack was prefect for this!
I wish I watched this in the theaters! 😭

25:01, she called her trash right there in the classiest way imaginable
I love how this film even ret-cons why Cruella drives like a maniac.... She never learned how to drive!
I enjoyed Cruella I really loved the movie.
The closest they've gotten to an actual good villain movie.
Great movie choice Tim it’s a good one

I love this Cruella! One of my favorite movies! 😍🔥💕
One dark but not in your face moment “I know you killed my mother” “you’ll have to be more specific” what’s her kill count at
The "Wicked" trailer gives similar vibes...
I love this movie ❤

I really love your reactions, I would suggest you to watch the U.S Marshals movie (1998)
Man I tell ya this movie of Cruella's origin story was just so bizzare! Emma Stone did very good playing her too.
One of my favorite Disney movies
Me too… THIS is the Disney that lives up to my expectations set in the 1990s
This is my absolute FAVORITE Disney movie of the modern era!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The only Oscar this movie won was for costume design.
You've probably already figured it out by the end, but its more an origin story in the same way that Maleficent, not one for one compatible with other tellings in the series.
I enjoy this movie because of the soundtrack, Emma Stone's performance, and the fashion. I wouldn't consider this a good movie but it is entertaining.
Jasper is Frenchie in Our Flag Means Death!
She does hate puppies without spots, though...
I like this movie a lot
