@@favaru5146ATLA has flaws too and no one mention or say bullsh*t about it. Besides, almost all the "flaws" that you all see in TloK are actually things that are different from Atla that you don't like or things that TLoK explained and you didn't catch.
For example I like Korra little bit more than The Last Airbender 🤷🏻♂️ I absolutely love your reaction, you are so surprised and shocked and I totally love it :d
I watched the series as it came out and I enjoyed it in its own right up until the last few minutes of the finale of the last season •Will there be TLA characters in this series?-Yes. Who?-In the name of not spoiling, I will let you find out who. •In his passing, Avatar Aang tasked the White Lotus with protecting and training his successor. Following the Liberation of Ba Sing Se, it's hard to go back into hiding, thus the White Lotus is no longer a secret society of old masters. •In its defense, LOK is not an exact copy of TLA. For starters, Korra is not Aang 2.0. While Aang was raised by monks and was a very spiritual person who won't harm a fly, Korra is someone who excels in the physical components of bending and rushes in before thinking. •Tenzin is Aang and Katara's youngest son and, following Aang's death, the world's only airbending master. He also serves as the Air Nomad representative in the United Republic Council, the governing body of the United Republic of Nations. •Naga serves as Korra's animal guide, just as Fang did Roku and Appa did Aang. •Tenzin's sky bison is named Oogi. •In training, Tenzin has three children: Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo. His wife, Pema, is pregnant with their fourth, whom Katara predicts will also be an airbender. •If you really want to learn what happened to Zuko's mom, it's explained in the comics that take place between TLA and LOK. The particular series is called The Search. •Yes, Bumi is their eldest and named after King Bumi, while Kya is named in honor of Katara's late mother. Bumi is a non-bender and Kya is a waterbender. •Aang died at the biological age of 66 (chronologically 166). Aang's time frozen in the iceberg drained his life force. This is a link to a manmade animation about Aang's passing that is now official in my head canon (when something is so good, yet unofficial that you just accept it as Canon). th-cam.com/video/SGBS0JoUvRs/w-d-xo.html •"Some friendships are so strong, they can even transcend lifetimes." - Avatar Roku •After the end of the Hundred Years War, new herds of sky bison were found. They are still regarded as an endangered species. •Common complaint #1-no Sokka in this series. •Common complaint #2-the "Westernization of the World of Avatar." Some fans have complained about the tech jump from TLA to LOK and feel that Republic City is a New York-in-the-Roaring-20s-esque setting, unlike the more Asiatic ascetic of TLA. A counter argument can be made that historically, places like Japan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai did rapidly industrialize in our own history. Japan in particular adapted to two centuries worth of technological advancements in two decades. •Since the end of the Hundred Years War and especially after the passing of Avatar Aang, there has come to be a rise in tension between Benders and Non-Benders. The Equalists, led by Amon, are the World of Avatar's equivalent to a Communist movement, aimed at ending bending in the name of equality. •Close - there are several bending triads that serves as the organized crime of Republic City. These three are part of one - the Triple Threats, made up of waterbenders, earthbenders, and firebenders. The others tend to be element specific. •Metalbenders make up the backbone of Republic City's police force. After the war, Toph began to teach her newfound technic. You will find what was deemed rare bending moves or skills in TLA are somewhat more common in LOK. It's another critique of the show. •Common complaint #4-Toph not only became a cop, but founded a law enforcement agency. This one comes out of a time where a good number of people are very Anti-Police. •As you can tell, Tenzin inherited his bending from his father and his temper from his mother. •Yes, the guy at the end was Amon, leader of the Equalists and this season's main villain.
It is a funny moment when Ikki interrupts Katara's story, but if you really want to know what happened to Zuko's mom all you have to do is read the comics, instead of having Legend of Korra tempt you with it lol
Watching you be so overwhelmed with emotion and happiness is literally the cutest thing I've seen all year so far! Cant wait to see how you enjoyed LoK. It wasn't as objectively perfect as atla, but its certainly a worthy addition!
That bison is called Oogi, there is a brief explanation for how the Bisons survived the hundred year war in season 2 episode 8, if I remember correctly. It's not really a spoiler if you'd like me to tell you now, I can. But also, not talked about in the show, these Bison aren't the exact same breed as Appa, there are very small differences. Appa was indeed the last of his breed, luckily there happened to be other flying bison breeds in the world.
Personally I think Korra gets a lot more hate than it deserves. It’s definitely its own show from TLA, so I encourage you to approach it that way. Based on your excitement from episode 1, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
I just found your channel and instant subbed! I was smiling through the whole video because I am so happy to see someone show the same excitement as I had when I first watched LoK backed when it aired. I will never understand how anyone can hate on this series. Both ATLA and LoK are great shows in their own right. You're going to LOVE this and don't let the haters form your opinion on this. Its well worth the watch! If I had a spirit animal... Korra is totally it 😆 She fits my personality perfectly!
Myy eyes welled with odd tears of pride when I first saw the HERO POSE illustrations of our Aang Gang at the start of this series. I want that Hero Pose Fathead illustration for my bedroom wall!
YessssSSSSSSSS! Woohooo!!! I am SO excited!!! I was so nice to see your reaction to this first episode and I can't wait for the next on this new adventure, Olesya!! Yes, the music is really good!
Lol speak that's the point of reaction anyways I love how you cut between the clips so you don't get copyrighted but also not skipping out all of it like other reactors Im glad you start legend of Korra can't wait for your reaction for season 3 the best book hands down
So many friends don't really like korra ,of course, the angle of viewing the content of some people are not the same. Some people may think it is good or bad after watching it. But some people will also feel that they have the feeling that they want to watch it, and it is not bad! Of course I think everyone who watch this series can still enjoy it😽
The Platypus Bear was in the episode "the fortuneteller" (the one that attacked the travelling guy who was not afraid and dropped the egg) and another one in Ty Lee's circus (which wore a red costume and also dropped an egg)
Some bison herds were kept and bred in secret by people that wanted to keep them alive. However they are a different breed to Appa think like dog breeds
Also you are not the first reactor many reactors like good win, let's react, struck by belz, lm reactions they are specifically told not to watch korra but still they thoroughly enjoyed the show and love it. So I'm pretty sure you'll love it and a have lot of fun. So many great characters and themes.
A lot of the technology seen is AtLA is from the late 18xx's. Korra is set 60 years later, and has technology from the 1920's, so the leap in technology there is about the same that happened in our world in the same amount of time.
I lost it when Katara said how Sokka and most of her friends were gone, you're stronger than most of us who grow up with this show. Also the ones in the opening are the four previous avatars; Kyoshi, Roku and Aang, and lastly Korra.
Some may say TLOK cant be compared with ATLA. To be fair, I think TLOK was meant to be quite different from the beginning and that s good. Youll notice most of the differences. For starters Korra is someone who rathers fight first and ask questions later unlike Aang who only chose to fight when it was necessary.
I love your excitement and energy! It’s infectious!! The comics answer the question of how there are more bison but I can’t remember exactly what happend
If you want to know what happend with Zuko's mom, you could read the Avatar comics that cover that story. Korra also have comics that cover the rest of her story which wasn't animated, sadly.
A few fun facts: in the World of Avatar, people live to around 120 years (thats why Katara and old Bumi were still alive). Also Aang died earlier (in his 60s) because his health suffered when he was in the iceberg (that was confirmed). And minor spoiler: not everyone is dead, only some of them (Katara sad "many" not "all") ;)
I hope you did not forget about the cabbage merchant :D listen carefully to every "cabbage"-word in this season and you will know what happened to him :D
Your are going to love Legend of Korra my favorite is the season 3 because something wonderful happens and your gonna be blow away. And the music is gorgeous
Yay! Been waiting for this! Just as an FYI, this show went through development hell. Both season 1 and season 2 were made as complete stories because Nickelodeon wouldn’t green-light the next season. So they had to wrap certain subplots up, certainly prematurely, in the event that Nick didn’t green-light another season. For season 3, they knew season 4 was going to happen so they were able to flesh more subplots out. But you’ll see, as you go. Season 2 is arguably the weakest but it has the Avatar’s origin story which makes up possibly the two best episodes across both shows.
For a hundred years the world's production was all centered around weapons. Since then the world could take what was learned before and push forward into an industrial revolution. Glad you enjoyed the first episode. Hope that you enjoy the whole series.
Such an amazing show! The animation is so on point! Also, Republic City reminds me of New York City! Lol! Awesome reaction! You're very pretty btw!❤✨❤✨❤✨❤
Ooo I'm so excited to see you watching Korra:):):) You started really quickly after the ATLA finale haha I love it And yess you're right about Aang dying early; there's a popular theory that Aang's briefly Dead experience in the ATLA season 2 finale shortened his lifespan. I like this theory it makes sense to me at least haha ALSO also yesss I was just as shocked as you when I saw how advanced technology/republic city is hihi there's a recent very thorough youtube video analyzing the technology timeline in the Avatar World VS Our World and I was even more shocked to find out that our World was even a little bit faster in that same timespan than Avatar! (like, they had steampower in ATLA but I never realized that properly haha) Plus that video pointed out that in ATLA we mostly spent time in rural area's or small villages and I was like wowww they're right never noticed that too tl;dr I'm a little too excited hehe
Another thing I highly recommend reading all comics before entering s2 because it just gives you more clear picture on how this world works. Not just zukos mom story also the promise and rift. Lot of things happen in s2 makes more sense especially end of s2 which lot of people have difficulty in how to feel about . But if you read comics I think u will understand more and enjoy it more. I also highly recommend to read kyoshi novels if possible you can also read them once you end korra. But with comics I recommend reading them before s2
How sky bison survived It's only mentioned in the comic, after the war ended, herd of sky bison start appear again in every air temple, they're didn't completely extinct, just hiding, but sadly for momo he's the last of his species
Fun Fact: it is widely believed that Tenzin's wife, Pema is the daughter of Ty Lee and the Crazed Avatar Fan. I'm not sure if this is confirmed or not.
There are a lot of great things about The Legend of Korra, I won't list any specifics to avoid spoilers. The first time I watched it, I actually prefered the more mature themes and shades of grey approach to the world and liked it over Avatar. Only on a rewatch of both series did I swap to preferring Avatar, mostly because Avatar was able to create longer running story arcs and character growth compared to LoK, thanks to LoK's production run being slated a season at a time they didn't really get the chance to let certain aspects breath like the original. But, it's still really enjoyable For me if Avatar is a 10, LoK is an 8. Still great! You'll meet some awesome characters throughout the series, can't wait! Also, loved the delayed Beifong reaction! 😄
Aangs time was conpaired to our time in the 1900s... The steam age began in the 1800s for us.. and as it looks like in the fire nation they are in the middle of it.. Korra's time is easier to compaire... It is somewhere in the 1920s.... Cars chech... Radio check... Tv not check but upcoming Also naga is a polar bear dog...
all of the avatars have lived for hundred years, but Aang only for 40/50 +- maybe (of nonstop avatar state when he was frozen in ice in that lake) - (info only in manga again, actualy I dont understand, why there is non-information at all about that in series) Sohab, to me Tenzin looks like the most calm person in this anime :D and to ansver the question - at the opening "Air" its Aang :)
New people that are here and don't want her to talking the show.....UMMMM.....she HAS TO! Otherwise Nickelodeon can strike down this channel. Copyright Law is what keeps this and all reaction channels running as long as she comments and gives her opinions, she will be protected under Copyright Law.

hi there :) new here xD i noticed we had the same tattoo!! the bunny outline and on the same spot xD such a small world :) youre going to really enjoy this series!!
I think that something important that you should know is that, Korra wasn't a serie that had its seasons confirmed, at the beginning, it would have just one season, then, they let it have a second one, not knowing if there would be a third, but, al the end, they confirmed the third AND fourth season, I think that know this es important to understand some of the decision in the trama
Today a new adventure begins (honestly, this show seems good to me, but for me the Legend of Aang is better, but anyway I'll still be waiting for your reactions week by week....
Yeah , changes are always hard but can be good, I’m so excited for new adventures 🔥
I own the dvd and Blu-ray's of Korra. It's a good series and the visuals plus the music are fantastic.
Let’s goooo! this is gonna be great! hope you enjoy it as much as i did!:)
I watched the series as it came out and I enjoyed it in its own right up until the last few minutes of the finale of the last season
•Will there be TLA characters in this series?-Yes.
This is a link to a manmade animation about Aang's passing that is now official in my head canon (when something is so good, yet unofficial that you just accept it as Canon). th-cam.com/video/SGBS0JoUvRs/w-d-xo.html
•"Some friendships are so strong, they can even transcend lifetimes." - Avatar Roku
•After the end of the Hundred Years War, new herds of sky bison were found.
I am so ready to follow your journey through Korra as well! Loved your calm ATLA reactions :D
Awwww thank you, I’m so excited as well🔥
Going to be great, you'll definitely like this series!
It is a funny moment when Ikki interrupts Katara's story, but if you really want to know what happened to Zuko's mom all you have to do is read the comics, instead of having Legend of Korra tempt you with it lol
Remember the original plan was that the show only got one season. That's why she for instance already started with three elements
Oh reallyyyy?😱
This series has lots of shocks and aww reveals and moments awaiting, Olessya. That's all I'm spoiling.
I’m excited for it 🔥
fun fact : creators confirmed that Aang died so early due to his long time in the iceberg :(
Yep, his physical body 12 but his cell age more than 100 years, make sense if gone so fast
Oh yeah that’s true, he already lived for 112 years 😂
Watching you be so overwhelmed with emotion and happiness is literally the cutest thing I've seen all year so far!
Awww that’s so sweet thank you 🥺❤️ I’m so excited for Korrrraaaaaa🔥
Olesya: who are you?
Amon: i am the solution
Hahaha😂
Myy eyes welled with odd tears of pride when I first saw the HERO POSE illustrations of our Aang Gang at the start of this series. I want that Hero Pose Fathead illustration for my bedroom wall!
9:38 we can't explain the thing about the bison without spoiling season 2 ☺🤐
Let's go! A new journey begins 😊
Love how emotional you are, very interesting to watch!
YessssSSSSSSSS! Woohooo!!! I am SO excited!!! I was so nice to see your reaction to this first episode and I can't wait for the next on this new adventure, Olesya!! Yes, the music is really good!
Korra is awesome f. the haters
Love it so far 🔥
@@olesyasreaction I like that it's different than ATLA that makes a good sequel.
Lol speak that's the point of reaction anyways I love how you cut between the clips so you don't get copyrighted but also not skipping out all of it like other reactors Im glad you start legend of Korra can't wait for your reaction for season 3 the best book hands down
Many surprises await you during these 4 seasons. 😊
Yesssssss, oh god, now I remember 😂 I just had picture of platypus bear and I was like what the hell I remember you but where 😂
The name Tenzin is reference to the monk Tenzin Gyatso, the current Dalai-Lama
Oh wow that’s amazing 🔥
Some bison herds were kept and bred in secret by people that wanted to keep them alive. However they are a different breed to Appa think like dog breeds
Oooooooo wow😱
Also you are not the first reactor many reactors like good win, let's react, struck by belz, lm reactions they are specifically told not to watch korra but still they thoroughly enjoyed the show and love it. So I'm pretty sure you'll love it and a have lot of fun. So many great characters and themes.
The bison is named Oogie. It’s a crossbreed. You can tell by the yellower fur and the stripes on the arrow.
Welcome on this amazing journey with Korra! : )
Tenzin is their way of having Aang name a son after Gyatso, because Gyatso was named after the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso.
THAT IS SO SWEEEEEET🥺
Thanks to Blindwave, whenever Amon shows up I hear "Backstreets Back, ALRIGHT!"
I going to watch all Korra reaction on your channel) I am big fan of Korra
Крутой видос!
Спасибо огромное ❤️
love this show, i cant wait too see your journey
A lot of the technology seen is AtLA is from the late 18xx's. Korra is set 60 years later, and has technology from the 1920's, so the leap in technology there is about the same that happened in our world in the same amount of time.
Im so excited for you! cant wait for u to hit season 3! 😂 this show is sooooo good!
I’m so excited as welllll🔥🔥
@@olesyasreaction all the villians are great! This is *NOT* a kids show! 😈😂
I lost it when Katara said how Sokka and most of her friends were gone, you're stronger than most of us who grow up with this show.
Also the ones in the opening are the four previous avatars; Kyoshi, Roku and Aang, and lastly Korra.
Korra is so underraded and overhaded!
Thank you sooooo much ❤️
You first who recognized every avatar in opening. Glad see that)
@2:29 normal reaction for true avatar fans😂. Welcome to TLOK. So excited for the reaction. Enjoy the show
If you want to know what happend with Zuko's mom, you could read the Avatar comics that cover that story.
And minor spoiler: not everyone is dead, only some of them (Katara sad "many" not "all") ;)
yes!!!!! KORRA!!! CANT WAIT FOR THE OTHER VIDEOS
I hope you did not forget about the cabbage merchant :D listen carefully to every "cabbage"-word in this season and you will know what happened to him :D
Don’t tell me Cabbage man is alive 👀🔥
@@olesyasreaction :D No he is not. But there are minor hints what he did with his cabbage business ... as we all know he loved being a merchant
I’m loving the energyy❤️ im excited for this
Your are going to love Legend of Korra my favorite is the season 3 because something wonderful happens and your gonna be blow away.
We're finally watching Korra. I'm so excited. You look so beautiful ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
Such an amazing show! The animation is so on point! Also, Republic City reminds me of New York City! Lol! Awesome reaction! You're very pretty btw!❤✨❤✨❤✨❤
Same with me. I was hooked after watching the first 30 seconds.
Ooo I'm so excited to see you watching Korra:):):)
You started really quickly after the ATLA finale haha I love it
And yess you're right about Aang dying early; there's a popular theory that Aang's briefly Dead experience in the ATLA season 2 finale shortened his lifespan. I like this theory it makes sense to me at least haha
ALSO also yesss I was just as shocked as you when I saw how advanced technology/republic city is hihi
there's a recent very thorough youtube video analyzing the technology timeline in the Avatar World VS Our World and I was even more shocked to find out that our World was even a little bit faster in that same timespan than Avatar! (like, they had steampower in ATLA but I never realized that properly haha)
Plus that video pointed out that in ATLA we mostly spent time in rural area's or small villages and I was like wowww they're right never noticed that too
tl;dr I'm a little too excited hehe
Korra is a masterpiece, now it's cool too but after two book's it's get amazing.
I really don't get the people who doesn't like korra
True
Glad to see you enjoying Korra
Thanks I used this for my edit
i love LoK
Do friendships last more than one lifetime? - Toph
I just need to order them or at least find them online 😩
Oh I've been waiting for this
How sky bison survived It's only mentioned in the comic, after the war ended, herd of sky bison start appear again in every air temple, they're didn't completely extinct, just hiding, but sadly for momo he's the last of his species
Im happy for you. HAVE FUN!!!
Sup from New Zealand, 🇳🇿🥝🙃 hope everyone's having a wonderful day/night/year
💛🌏💛
Fun Fact: it is widely believed that Tenzin's wife, Pema is the daughter of Ty Lee and the Crazed Avatar Fan. I'm not sure if this is confirmed or not.
Oooooo! 🤩🤩🤩 I can't...... !! 😍🤩😍🤩😍 this can't be happening!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
(That's actually a spoiler for season 4 of Korra 😉)
There are a lot of great things about The Legend of Korra, I won't list any specifics to avoid spoilers. The first time I watched it, I actually prefered the more mature themes and shades of grey approach to the world and liked it over Avatar. Only on a rewatch of both series did I swap to preferring Avatar, mostly because Avatar was able to create longer running story arcs and character growth compared to LoK, thanks to LoK's production run being slated a season at a time they didn't really get the chance to let certain aspects breath like the original. But, it's still really enjoyable
For me if Avatar is a 10, LoK is an 8. Still great! You'll meet some awesome characters throughout the series, can't wait!
Also, loved the delayed Beifong reaction! 😄
I had to process it you know 😂
You know your reaction is different compare previous. I LIKE 👍🏼 IT
Awww that’s good to hear ❤️
@@olesyasreaction I'm glad to watch your channel you will contunie
As far as I am aware, Korra happens 70 Years after Atla.
Aangs time was conpaired to our time in the 1900s... The steam age began in the 1800s for us.. and as it looks like in the fire nation they are in the middle of it.. Korra's time is easier to compaire... It is somewhere in the 1920s.... Cars chech... Radio check... Tv not check but upcoming
Also naga is a polar bear dog...
all of the avatars have lived for hundred years, but Aang only for 40/50 +- maybe (of nonstop avatar state when he was frozen in ice in that lake) - (info only in manga again, actualy I dont understand, why there is non-information at all about that in series)
Sohab, to me Tenzin looks like the most calm person in this anime :D
and to ansver the question - at the opening "Air" its Aang :)
Ma booooi Aang in the opening scene 🔥
And yaah I've not watched the series itself but I've watched the clips... 😅😅
.
.
.
And I love Lin 😂😂
New people that are here and don't want her to talking the show.....UMMMM.....she HAS TO! Otherwise Nickelodeon can strike down this channel. Copyright Law is what keeps this and all reaction channels running as long as she comments and gives her opinions, she will be protected under Copyright Law.
Yesss, I wish I could upload everything 😩
I remember the first time I saw ep 1 I cried. People can say wht they want about korra but the music is incredible in this show top notch and just as good as last airbender.
When will you do the love action movie? I'm dieing to see your reaction!!!!
Yeah I didn’t have time still 😩 but it’s definitely on my list
The name of the bison is Oogi
hi there :) new here xD i noticed we had the same tattoo!! the bunny outline and on the same spot xD such a small world :) youre going to really enjoy this series!!
Whaaaaaat really? 😱😂
@@olesyasreaction yeah! mine is flipped to wear the ears are closer to my wrist rather than the tail :)
you'll find out about the bison much later, just stay along for the ride all will be revealed in time lol
Yeah, I’ve read people mentioning that, so I’ll be ready for everything 🔥
@@olesyasreaction this show is fire 🔥 I really really loves it, and I love Korra as a character, can't wait to watch your reaction to this show!!
Today a new adventure begins (honestly, this show seems good to me, but for me the Legend of Aang is better, but anyway I'll still be waiting for your reactions week by week....
I think it would be good if you avoid reading the comments a lot, to avoid spoilers....
And as ever ... you're the best... you're amazing
Regards from far far away!!! :D
just like bumi there will be some old characters from before the time skip
