    Awesome knife, I have the exact same model !
    For guys complaining about sleipner steel being inferior to m390 , I own knifes with both steels and they perform very similarly .

    I have stepped up to some WE knives lately...some of the ones that you have reviewed. 604-O, 707-A and a 618-C. Amazing stuff. Have been tempted to get an Orange & Black SR-11. Just wanted some color in my collection and the aluminum offers a good weight savings. In a knife this large, I thought that taking away over an ounce of weight is definitely significant. I wrote to Lionsteel attempting to buy one of those cases..and they did not even respond to me ...which was disappointing. That does not say much for their customer service. "No" is OK...but no contact is not. :-( I had a problem with a new WE knife, and they got back to me the same day that I contacted them. It really varies out there!!!
    Thanks for another great review.

    I'll wait for the smaller version. It's a beautiful knife no doubt. Still on the fence due to the recent rotolock failure, no traction grip, and unnecessary pointy pomel. Not exactly delivering to the promise of being a capable hard use knife.

    I just ordered this exact same knife from GP Knives & there are multiple versions in stock as of 6/28/17.

    Which of your production integrals is your favorite? By the way thanks for all the videos.

      Damn, that's a tough question. I really like them all, but price considered, you can't beat the We Knives 702.

    • @lancehilliard8006
      @lancehilliard8006 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      EpicSnuggleBunny thanks for the reply. I’m also a fan of the 702. I have an opportunity to pick up a CKF Tegral second hand for a decent price. Trying to decide between the two.

  • @kerryrwac
    @kerryrwac 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The WE 702 is the integral not the 602 lol it's hard to remember which is which with all the numbers and no names . The ApostleP does convex sharpening .

    I don't think it is a great idea to combine a monoframe construction with an IKBS flipper system. I have the SR1 and SR2 and they are pain in terms of maintenance. It is very hard to put them back together due to the monoframe construction. The SR11 seems to be very similar in this regard.

    As someone new to Lionsteel knives, how are the aluminum frames compared to the titanium frames? I know they have a lockbar insert but, well, you don't see many aluminum frame locks out there so I don't know how the frame holds up.

    • @EpicSnuggleBunny
      @EpicSnuggleBunny  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've never owned an aluminum one, I always buy titanium. I haven't heard of any issues though.

    What a stunner. In the want list for sure. How do you find the pocket clip on a jeans seam? It looks a little better than my SR2 was for being a bit too grabby

    • @Gpknives
      @Gpknives 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pocket clip is nice and secure without being overly tight. Wish more companies would go with a clip like this. Very discreet while still being functional.

    I’m just getting into pocket knives. I’ve been searching the web for a couple months now and in my opinion this is the coolest looking knife I’ve come across. I’m considering it for my first knife purchase ever. Any other suggestions to consider or opinions on this knife?

    • @EpicSnuggleBunny
      @EpicSnuggleBunny  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have very fond feelings toward this knife. You may want to consider the smaller version, the SR22 as a first, but I'd leave it to you to decide the best size.

    how hard would it be to reprofile the convex edge into a standard v grind.

    • @EpicSnuggleBunny
      @EpicSnuggleBunny  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quite difficult without the tools and experience doing it. You are best sending it to one of the guys that sharpens knives as a side business.

    The Kur is also a great knife for the money....

    For me personally if the width of the knife was smaller and with it a smaller flipper tab it would be just awesome. The flipper tab protrudes too much and it prevents a lot of utility tasks. Also for a integral knife to put a sleipner steel is a shame. They use M390 on a lot of other folders why not this one?

    • @thesinfultruth7697

      Dummy the flipper is large so that I can protect the hand for slippage

    Question: How can IKBS be caged? I always assumed IKBS were "free."

    • @Sharpbevel
      @Sharpbevel 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mitchell Delmar That's what I thought too.

    • @n3v3rgunn45
      @n3v3rgunn45 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      IKBS is just a type of bearing system that was invented by those people. (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) Many knives are on caged IKBS, actually. My Boker Plus A2 is, for example. I didn't know this until about a month ago, when I asked about it on Reddit.

    Beautiful machine work, but yowza, what a pocket brick. As for the quality in manufacturing award, I haven't seen it in the two Lionsteel's I've owned. Both were a combination of beautiful design and execution in some regards, and stopping short in others. Case in point, look at the fitting of the lockbar insert in your video.
