Just bought a medium firm beauty rest mattress brs900. Let me tell you, lower back and hip pain was a 10 before and now it's like a 2. A little stretching of my lower back muscles in the morning and I'm good the majority of the day. It's unbelievable how a new medium firm mattress changed my life. I sleep better, less pain and because of the sleep I'm more alert during the day.

My best sleep without back pain is on decent hotel beds with spring mattresses. I’ve had 3 memory foam mattresses and they suck for my back not to mention waking up hot even in the winter.

Wow! Impressive that the mattress didn't sink with the kettleball. Seems like it has all-over support! Cool! ___Been watching Bob & Brad all year & their exercises have helped ...many ...of my... "many"... back issues, however____ I "know" I need a new mattress soon. I have putting off (& dreading) buying a new mattress until this winter. There are soooo many to choose from. ___I've never heard of SleepOvation but it looks like it may have the all-over support I am looking for!!

Coming across this video about 2 years late wishing the giveaway was still available haha 😭 been watching your super informative and educational videos about low back and sciatica pain and they’ve been so helpful. As someone who’s dealing with a L5 S1 protruding disc, and a workers comp case with no real help or treatment of doctors, a new mattress can definitely be a game changer on top of daily stretches and exercises to avoid what no one wants to go through- surgery. I’m keeping the faith that with proper rehabilitation I’ll get back to where I once was if not better. Thanks again for sharing your super helpful content. The world needs more people like you! ❤️🙏🏼

Hello Fellows, Really enjoy your programs and especially the ones on knee surgery. I will be getting a total knee replacement surgery in a few weeks and have a important question to ask. I just purchased a new power bed and mattress that has a zero gravity setting on it. I had though about just using a wedge to elevate my leg at night in the flat position , but do you think that the zero-gravity setting would do the same thing without using a wedge or pillows to raise my leg above my heart? Don't see anything on the web about the benefits of these new beds after surgery, so i'm waiting for your expert advise. Take care - William

This vlog came at a GREAT time...... I have an SI issue.... I think it has been caused by my $9k sleep number bed!!! It’s 4 years old.... and they’re sending me a new “topper”..... but I don’t have faith it’s going to be any better for me. I awaken every morning feeling back pain.... and don’t get relief until I do the exercises you guys have recommended for SI joint pain. (TY, btw) I am going to look into this mattress! I am only 56 years old..... I can’t believe my bed (probably) caused such an issue! Ugggggh! Hard to even exercise anymore for fear of irritating my right SI joint!

My bf bought us a Purple bed bc he thought it would be great, and help my back pain. I don't like it. My back pain didn't improve at all. It got worse. I preferred my old memory foam mattress from Sam's Club that cost $350. The Purple was almost $3,000 (he likes reminding me of that lol). How's your new mattress doing?

    • @rrjr743
      @rrjr743 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The sleep ovation mattress recommended here was the BEST I’ve had since I’ve gotten old and prone to backpain (age 35 now, Lol).
However, my wife didnt like it at first but she did end up settling fine with it, but because i like to give her the best for her, we decided to try the tempur-cloud. That thing ain’t no cloud though, let me tell you… my back feels like I got hit by a truck in my dreams the way i wake up after sleeping long enough… i hate it! But guess what, it works just great for my wife! Lol, smh…
So, now, if i could do it all over again, i would do the split bed with the split adjustable frames and we would just get our two separate preferences… everybody’s body weight and shape requires different firmness or softness feels… but yeah… sleep ovation worked great for me for the whole 3 months i had it!

Best mattress I ever had was "aloe" I bought in Phoenix, AZ in 2006. About 3 years ago my back started hurting. I bought a sleep number bed, never could get it 'perfect' and ended up putting it in my guest room and put my old mattress back on my base until I could get another mattress.. Memory foam too hot, and I sink into it. I bought a latex mattress by Saativa. It has two firmness options, and I have my turned to the plush side. I am a side sleeper, female, with hip problems. AND I have an adjustable base.

#Silver Boomer how's the new mattress working for you? Do you remember the name of the aloe mattress? I live in metro Phoenix; that aloe mattress sounds like it would sleep cooler. I'd love to take a look at one, if still available. Thanks!

@@esterixis I bought that Aloe at a Mattress clearance store. That was the brand name, and I remember it only because it was written all over it. I am currently battling with spondylosis with osteophytes in my L4 and L5 discs, which in turn is causing me severe sciatic nerve flaring down my right leg. Medications weren't working, until I started lying on the yoga mat, with two pillows laid out like a cross. its best to buy a firm mattress. If its too soft and you can always buy a mattress topper put down a layer of blankets to make it softer.
It doesn't work the other way. If your mattress is too soft nothing will make it firmer.

    I’m finally got a new
    Medium mattress.
It seems soft and I’m still in agony. Osteoarthritis is horrific with no relief. Maybe I need a topper. A new body would be nice…😫

I've had a Purple mattress for a couple of years now, and I'm not a fan. I like the comfy sheets it came with, and that's about it. My bf bought it thinking it would help my back pain. It did not. I wake up feeling worse than when I slept on a $350 mattress from Sam's Club. The Purple cost almost $3,000...a fact he likes to remind me of when I say i want a new bed.
Plus, if you have cats/dogs they may tear it up. For example my cat got her claw stuck, and by the time I got to her she'd pulled on it. It's kinda like carpet- it unravels.
You're supposed to be able to clean stains easily. No. You can't. Even if you get to it right away (I spilled coffee) it stains.
      BTW I'm 5'3 115lbs.

i got the tempurpedic lux adapt soft. after it broke in it caused me insane lower back pain.
so I exchanged it for the luxadapt medium (all foam). the 1st week it killed me worse than the soft I exchanged.
now it is breaking in and I am still always sore in my lower back. i am trying to give it the 2 months before exchanging again. i slept on my crappy couch last night and woke up back pain free so I am not feeling like the tempurpedic is gonna end up working.
i have wanted a tempurpedic for years so i am so bummed.
do you have any suggestions if this does not work out?
this will be the last exchange i can do. would you try the med hybrid or switch to something like a casper ?
i WISH that a less form mattress was the answer so that I could havekept that super soft 1st mattress I had. :(

The sleep number was a horrible waste of $1,000+! They said it was meant to sleep like I was in a "nest". Yech. It wallowed down and tried to swallow me whole! I need a firm mattress with a soft top, such as a 3" topper. I need a bed that I can flip, so I have a foam pad I bought separately.

Looks like a good concept, but I'm skeptical of anything "memory foam." I live in Arizona, sleep with thermostat at 72F., and still sleep hot. After taking to friends/family who own such mattresses, not so sure I would make this type of investment. Can anyone give me pro's of a memory foam mattress? BTW, have severe spinal stenosis (L4-S1), SI joint osteoarthritis. Just looking for consistent decent sleep.
