I watched a lot of your videos and others videos and decided on buying a purple 3. It was delivered just under a year ago. We tried it for the 100 days. Uncomfortable for probably this first two weeks until we got used to it. About day 95 I would say I started to get back pain. I figured I just hurt myself at work so we decided to keep the purple. Within 4 months of owning it the pain only got worse and more frequent. I did all the warranty stuff and took pictures with full water jugs across the bed. Shortly after I sent it to them they emailed back saying they were sending me a new mattress. Cool. Ok maybe it was just a fluke. Nope 2 months into the second mattress and the pain was back. The material breaks down and gets “soft spots”. Maybe I’m just more prone to noticing it but it I couldn’t stand it. You guys always talk up the purple but I am totally unimpressed and wouldn’t recommend them. Maybe before you endorse a brand or model you should do multiple longer term studies with different people. I doubt it’s just my bad luck that 100% (2/2) purple 3’s I received were flawed. I believe it’s the material. And I didn’t find it to sleep cool either. When you are laying on it all of those open grids are squished flat beneath your body. Hence no air flow. Plus they want it on a solid base. In turn completely covering the bottom of the mattress from any air flow. All false advertising to me. I never really found bad reviews in my research so I just wanted to get at least one out there on your channel.

Also if you have pain considering weight is very important. My husband is 6'4" and I'm 5'9" so we got a Saavta HD for higher weight limit since our pets sleep with us. BIG difference. They do white glove delivery, but the bed requires a special frame and it's pricey.
I don't trust anything that comes in box and I hate memory foam since I'm disabled and work from home. In cvid times I've been getting sick about 8-12 times a year and in bed for weeks working in bed sick. We've had beds make valleys on my husband's side making him toss and turn a lot since he has a bad back. so we got the Saavta. Only thing I'd say as a disabled person there a bit harder to get out of on the sides but it holds up great.

I sell mattresses and I’m confident in saying don’t accept any substitutes and get a Tempurpedic if you have sciatic pain. The problem I run into with guest on Purple or others is that it tends to put extra stress in the core area of you body or you’ll experience pressure especially if you have back issues. That’s not to say Purple is a horrible mattress, just it’s not for you. Tempurpedic hold you in place and aligns your spine in almost any position you can lay in. I highly recommend Tempurpedic or Tempurpedic hybrid for sciatic pain. My guest almost never come back, unless they wanted to bring me cookies for helping them. Hope this helps.

I just started sleeping on a Purple Hybrid 4" mattress 3 weeks ago. I concur completely with this review. After sleeping on coils and overheating on memory foam I finally went to Purple after a spinal fusion and its continuing pain. I always had back pain problems sleeping on soft mattresses. What's weird with Purple is that it is soft but also supportive at the same time. I can sleep on my good side all night long without ever having to turn now. The sales staff at Purple are very helpful when selecting a mattress. I definitely recommend using their chat function before selecting a mattress. Yes, it isn't cheap but I think the quality and performance justify the cost. You most definitely should make sure your platform will support this type of bed (slats less than 3" apart check with their chat reps to confirm).

I want to listen to the video that goes further in depth too if I can locate that one. I appreciated that he had a chiropractor's input as well. It would be a wonderful addition to also hear how the customer service REALLY is for each company, tho I know that's a lot of extra work for these videos. Often the comments below can ruin a decision if they claim the customer service was difficult or disappointing with a particular mattress company whose product looked & sounded so good. And even with the "grip" on the bottom side. It still slips off matress very easily. For 140$ I would not recommend. Oh and yes ive tried turning it around after a month of use to no avail

Tempur-Pedic will not allow mattress returns without a paid warranty. I believe the warranty is 90 days and you must purchase a mattress cover to qualify. This is by far the worst company I've ever done business with. I purchased the wrong mattress to start with via a poor salesman, and then purchased their Contour Elite (which is being discontinued). as a replacement. The horror stories are real. In the last year or so with the two mattresses (Tempur-Pedic will not allow the return of my 2nd bed, the Contour Elite, even though it is defective in every way, a cost-cut version with no pressure relief, support, etc. So they came out with the "Adapt" and "Pro-Adapt" series which is a re-intro of their original mattress because there were so many complaints on the Elite as well as their other lines. All of those have been discontinued (to hide the evidence of an awful design) and the new Adapt is, as they claim, a "return to the original design". During the time of these two mattresses, I have developed degenerative arthritis in my lower back in 3 discs, so thanks to Tempur-Pedic, I've now got a health issue. This is equal to all of the other comments and complaints out there. So I'm looking into a Class Action because there are hundreds of dissatisfied customers. Tempur-Pedic has no care or consideration for their customers. They could care less and even with the Department of Consumer Affairs of the State of WI, Madison representing me and threatening them, they were undeterred. They were not going to allow my mattress to be returned for a replacement. This is a corrupt group of owners, and my honest assessment after buying two really bad mattresses is that I would never buy another Tempur-Pedic in this lifetime because of their dishonesty and inability to part with their bottom line profits in exchange for replacement costs. This mattress, or any Tempur-Pedic brand for that matter, should not even be represented in any videos being shown here. This is the worst mattress company in business today and buyer beware, they will charge you a fortune ($3,800-$4,500) and hold no responsibility whatsoever to any of the defects. They don't care. They have a paid Warranty Staff and another group who supervises the Warranty Department as managerial 'gatekeepers' and they are all trained to say "no" and not budge an inch. So I'm pursuing a class action lawsuit with as many people as I can enlist, and we will prove that their "cost cut" mattress designs were for sheer profit and never had the intention of offering any kind of sleep support whatsoever. They have a disclaimer that you may NOT return any mattress for the sole purpose of comfort. How do you like that? Their new key phase "returning BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DESIGN" with the "Adapt" and "Pro Adapt" series is a complete marketing revelation that they made a mistake and are restoring some of the costs and materials they took out of their mattresses in the first place. In so doing, we will prove in a court of law that this is culpability. Never, ever buy this brand folks!

They have sales through the year (this one being labor day) and I got a king size purple 2 and they give you free sheets and a bed frame for free, plus free delivery, set up, and removal of the old mattress. On top of that purple has allowed Mattress firm to give a 120 night sleep trail versus the 100 purple offers. Just had to add for anyone looking for a deal on purple.

The only thing resolves sciatica is stop over working yourself and relax. But for some of you ladies we suffer every month, the best one is the stiff mattress. You have to go and buy it yourself, not let others buy it for you or online. It has to be as stiff as the massage beds and a bit soft on top so you have your comfort within. Don't buy online.Just go to one of those stores and ask them to deliver it for you to save the hassle for yourself.

I had back pain and through experience and knowledge I've come to know that any mattress which is sold that isn't %100 natural latex is a cheap mattress because over time it softens even the springs and therefore giving you back pain. %100 natural latex from dunlop process (non synthetic) is the best mattress in the world to get at this point in time because it doesn't soften over time and doesn't sag and there has been evidence and experiences that shows it lasts about 50 years. All other mattresses even the memory foam tempur is a cheap quality no matter what price tag is, about 98% of mattresses that are sold today are money making companies that know they will fail between about 3 months to 3 years time. That's how they make their shifty money and make big profits. Don't listen to this guy in the video
