This upload was taken from a master tape purchased at the 1992 San Diego CA show... the band was selling bootkegs of themselves. This has been converted to digital 1080p 60fps. @jamesC Actually not the originals. Only two out of four originals here... missing Tommy and Dee Dee. Marky always did kind of feel like an original to me even though he was the second drummer, the other guys CJ and Richie not so much.
@@7171jayRichie was their most interesting drummer due to his charisma/stage presence and unorthodox approach to their songs, while Marky was very robotic and boring in comparison. And CJ brought an energy to their shows that they really hadn’t exhibited since the early days. A lineup with CJ and Richie would have been mind blowing .
@@TryNSave Like anything in music it comes down to individual taste. In my opinion Marky wasn't robotic or boring, he played a lot like Tommy did which isnt surprising as Tommy when he left the band actually gave Marky some training in how he played the drums. Most of the times I saw the Ramones live were in the 1980s, in my opinion the best shows I saw them do were in the early '80s with Marky and Dee Dee.

@@J4060 my dream didn't bother with the drummer, unfortunately. It was just the front line up. In a perfect world it would be Tommy and Marky taking turns. They could even let Richie play a couple for old time's sake.💙💙

E foi a primeira banda de punk rock,ao contrário do que muita gente pensa,não foram os Sex Pistols.Os Sex Pistols apareceram em 77 e os Ramones já tinham nascido, em 74!!!se não tivessem existido os Ramones,talvez o rock e o punk rock,fosse muito diferente!Ramones inspiraram muita gente!e continuam a ser os ídolos de muitos e bons músicos... Joey aqui com a pedalada toda,era grande,era a alma dos Ramones!Ramones,neste concerto,estavam realmente em força total,poderosíssimos.Uma das minhas bandas preferidas!
Besides this amazing performance (which is a classic bootleg, beloved by all fans around the world), I would like to underline Joey's great vocal register for this particular show, and last but not least, luckily enough, the camera takes Marky's drums most of the time, which allows us to appreciate his famous closed hi-hat technique doing eighth notes at a killer Ramone-like speed. Thanks uploader for such a wonderful job!

Had all their albums in high school in the 70s…….they weren’t very popular…..but in a beat up Chevy with mind blower speakers….they sounded pretty good….saw them a couple times at metro…chi town… …..great band …Joey was dope…..

I saw them many times, but during this era, I felt bad for them..Chestnut Cabaret in Philly and Hammerjacks in Baltimore..a few hundred people.. literally like going to your local bar, but the Ramones were playing.. incredible experience, but they deserved so much better..

@@discharger66 he was better than tommy, even tho tommy invented it marky still added onto it and made it tighter, richie was great but wasn’t meant for the ramones.
If you listen to it's alive and the first records, Tommy's the best. The best Ramones records were with Tommy involved. His sound is like a soft beat but embodies the whole Ramones original 70 sound. It's a classic rock n roll drum going fast but with a nice touch.
Marky, in the other hand, besides the improves related to speed and cymbal and snare sounds is like a machine..fitting right for the changes that the Ramones were facing through different records that were not like their first ones.
Richie belongs to a different Era. A tough hardcore-like one. He is - to me- the most talented one. But he wore the jacket for just a few years and those years were not the best for sure.
Marky comes back in the 90's. The band could have been in the same style they were doing with Richie. But then CJ comes in. I don't know what it was but something made a click for better. And The Ramones were strong again, without hard core songs, just Ramones style.
They three are great drummers. But I'll stay with the classic, when they were the new thing. TOMMY WAS THERE. EVERYWHERE the Ramones rocked the rock n roll roots for new generations.

Saw them at the Bayou, in WDC around this time. Blew me away. Absolutely. Can't remember the opener. Ramones were fast and loud and then left. No BS
First you hear Ennio Morricone, and then DeeDee goes '1-2-3-4" and you get the Ramones right in your face for an hour. Talk about living the dream. With Joey, Johnny and Marky kicking it into high gear it is all anyone could want. RIP Joey, Johnny and DeeDee. Long Live the RAMONES!!!
