I have a 2017 Silverado and the left/right arrows are not on my home screen. I also cannot view the map without calling OnStar and setting a route. This is a total ripoff. I want to view where I am and see points of interest near me, especially incase of emergency without having to cal OnStar first. I also don't want to pay the monthly fee for OnStar when I would so rarely use any of their services.
You can change it and show your "POI" point of interest that are near you and your location. Look through the manual and it tells you. I have did it, but still haven't played with New truck enough. You have to be parked to turn on the different types of POI you want visible on the map
download android or apple auto app and plug in phone , it will work fine.

I have a 2017 LTZ Diesel, the infotainment system is just for looks. Complete outdated garbage. The rear headrest screens (I don't have) looks nice but the tech is from the 90's and has an astronomical price tag. The infotainment system should have yearly updates like smartphones.
