In 2023, Honda delivered an impressive performance with the Honda Civic Type R, a front-wheel drive vehicle known for its exceptional driving experience. However, the 2024 Acura Integra Type S, despite resembling the Civic Type R on paper and costing more, offers a distinct driving experience. Notable for its exceptional engine, shifter, and near-telepathic steering, the Integra's standout feature is its cornering, grip, and unrivaled composure on the road.

I wish it cost $3-5k more and had SH-AWD, but I still have one in my garage right now. I have zero buyers remorse with this car.
Nice review.
It kinda reaches towards the Audi S5 Sportback, but it sits way cheaper for the options included. Size, cargo, power, pretty comparable. Falls short on overall luxury, but that comes at the cheaper price tag.
Can also cross shop the Lexus IS350 for size/performance. CT4-V (non-Blackwing). Traditionally, the Corolla (GR variant now).
Everything else is heavier, bigger engine, AWD/RWD, optioned more expensive.
Dealers are still charging a min 5k markup in most states .... ouch
Honestly u just gotta do a little leg work. There are Acura dealers that aren’t crooks. It’s definitely not Type R levels of greed. I found a black one in Florida. It was MSRP + carbon mirrors/rear spoiler/door sills. I snatched it up. Others can do the same just takes persistence.
Total agree @@joeblacc8573
Dealers not marking me up at all msrp is what I’m paying
5k? I think Weir Canyon Acura had theirs marked up 20k.
@@ericalderson8702 that’s insanity.
dam i would love to have one but apparently they not releasing this car in Australia :(
I think it’s over priced, should only be like 48,000 to 49,000, with a $52,000 price tag it should have a bigger and better infotainment screen should at least heated and vented front seats and come with passenger electric seat and rear seat ventilation and charging ports and illuminated door sills .
Saying these seats are better than the ones is the Type R is certainly a choice.
type R has no lumbar...traveling can be a problem on the back
Who are these marketed to? The majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck
Average car sold in America is 46K, so this car is 5k over average. You’d be surprised how many ppl either have money or are willing to live in massive debt
If someone is living paycheck to paycheck then that person has made bad life decisions
if you want an eco car look elsewhere... just like he said there isn't a like for like comparison and others that tick the same boxes are easily 70k+ (m3 etc)
M340i is superior and the same cost
@@Jack-fr9bk the m340i costs 52k and comes with a manual??? Yeah alright 👌
@@josepalazuelos9092 I bought mine for 50k. No, it doesn’t come with a manual, but the M340I is faster, equipped with AWD, and much more luxurious. If you want to play, the Camaro is cheaper, comes with a manual, and is all around better, too. So don't tell me there aren't comparisons when there is better options.
I will passed on this, 57k is just too much for me. Also the seats looked similar to my 19 nsx seats.
Accura is premium honda brand. Of course price little bit high.
you cant buy an FL5 for that price you said
adm
Car is priced at 55k, for what it has to offer, you gotta feel cheated.
In 2020 dollars, it’s only $46k. Too bad we inflated our currency 20% in 3 short years.
In Canada it's only $43k USD.
@@foobird02thank Biden
@@foobird0220% is an understatement. Food prices are up 50% in my area compare to pre pandemic.
I don't know.. Id rather stick with DC2 Type R and DC5 RSX...
Advanced NVH
..Adaptive Dampers. Its an Acura! Over the Civic R
Not listening to Phish this time?
Dead & Company from their 6/25 show at Fenway this summer!
It’s not 7 grand more expensive bc you can’t buy a Type R for less than these Acuras. Sick of this in all ye reviews.
I'm a witness to that. I live in West Michigan and the Honda dealer demanded a $15,000 markup vs the Acura dealer let me order one for MSRP. Better car for less money.
@@mikemccormick6128 same story here in NC and parts of SC. I looked everywhere for a Type R within 5 grand of MSRP. NOTHING. Deposit down and buyers order accepted for a Type S at MSRP. No reason to compare prices. Get the Integra. If you are a collector and plan to leave it under a tarp for 20 years, get the Type R.
Sounds like this car is out of your budget. Get a second lob and buy it!
@@papi_carte4995 What do you mean? If the Type-R has a $15,000 markup, I won't be stupid enough to pay it. I will never pay over MSRP out of principal. Also, the original commenter did not indicate that the car was out of his price range. I'm not sure why you would assume that. All he said was that the markups for the Type-R are generally much higher than the markups for the Type S which make the Type S a better value.
That front end is not great looking on the acura
It doesn’t have better seats. FL5 better value
No hybrid
No AWD
No automatic
Insanely overpriced
Crap fuel economy
It sucks! 🤮
Too bad the new Accord doesn’t look like it though! 👍
It's legendary enthusiasts sports car that only comes in manual transmission. Not an econobox
This car was never intended for you.
@@user-ov1jy2eq5e
It’s a car for gullible, debt ridden college kids with helicopter parents.

You’re right. I have taste and don’t get sucked in to auto reviews for broke juvenile adults.
NO AUTOMATIC Is A Good thing, it’s a Performance Car not Sally’s little Econobox
Boring. Certainly not a 90's gsr or type r. Yawn.
