    A bit strange watching this today hearing the order to “shoulder arms” without sloping first. Also strange to not see them changing arms at the regular intervals they do now. Shows how much (though subtly) the SA80 has changed drills.

      I watched some British Pathé (I think) video talking about the SA80 coming in and the narrator actually mentions "That means the slope arms is back!" when talking about new drill for the Trooping of the Colour

    I was on that parade with the 2nd Bn. Those closet to the camera. My parents were in the stands and the reception later on at Wellington Barracks was likened to the feeding of the 5,000

      When the Queen arrived at Horse Guards Parade, she was accompanied by Lady Susan Hussey, Lady-in-waiting. When she inspected the troops, she sat with Major General Sir George Burns, Colonel of Coldstream Guards.
