Mercedes Tips & Tricks: Hood Opening Angle

This neat trick will show you how to prop the hood of your Mercedes-Benz up to a 90 degree angle. Every Mercedes owner should know this feature because it makes life so much easier when working on your car. Also, keep in mind that this method will not work on all cars and each model has its own way of adjusting the hood's angle.
The vehicle used in this video is a 2015 C300.

thanks. question.. how do you keep the radio running when you turn the engine off.. say you just chillin waiting to pick someone up.. the car normally turns the radio off.. any tips?

You just turn it on again...

You can use the radio whilst the engine is off but you cannot take the key out of the slot otherwise the screen will shutdown

On some models such as the S-class, you need to press and release by the latch. It can be tricky, but the video on this page explains it: "Open Mercedes hood all the way by YOUCANIC"

Gr8Dane78 it's not just for owners even better for your mechanic you have no idea what a difference the clearance makes some things in other cars you have to remove the hood to do this keeps from having to do that and keeps that original fit on the hood...

They arent THAT expensive. Getting a mechanic to for example fill up the windshield washer fluid would be just outright stupid.
