Of course he wad just leading up to his song but the rock rolled out of the way and rock n roll was born.

He's my Grandfather. He passed away peacefully. His talent was on par with his love and guidance as my Granpop :) As far as my musical mentoring I received from him, one bit of advice he drilled into me (I'm paraphrasing): When you find that you have started to write a song your passionate about, let your ear guide you but KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Men were gentlemen and women were ladies. Most individuals had so much class during this time. It was a much more simplistic and overall better time to be alive. I would give anything to be able to live in those times. Today's times are quite depressing and it's only going to get worse, unfortunately.

This is Gerry Wilkinson. I personally knew three of these guys; Joe Terry, Dave White and Frank Maffei. They were members of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia. They were inducted into our Hall of Fame several years ago. What great friends. Joe and Frank lived in the Philly area and Dave in Vegas. Truly great performers and dear friends.
I agree with mostly all of you. I grew up with this music and feel myself the luckiest guy to have lived through those years of joy and certain innocence. I am writing a book on Rock & Roll. There's never been anything better!
