My way of remembering West and East is to say,

That way you see which way you are going to... W being to the Left and E to the right.

Mike was awesome, such a nice guy and yes the roof tile was pretty cool. 2 others on display in Sturgis and Milwaukee. I have only ridden Harleys but that might change in the future

As a hobby of tracing my family history, ours is sprinkled with Scottish families working the old coal mines. Just love all your history tours. this one was special seeing the Harley family tree really ties things together. Ride-free be happy.

Yea! I've been waiting for this one! So VERY cool. My daughter spent a semester at the University of Glasgow. I wish I'd known the Davidson cottage was so close, she would have gone to see it.
We only found out the day before, contacted mike and he was more than happy to meet us there and show us around
I had no idea that HD incorporated had Celtic Roots in Scotland. I being from Dublin, Ireland living in the US and riding a 2021 Road Glide Special. You have made my day and year. Yep nothing worse than noisy hotel rooms when your trying to sleep. My sister hits the broom on her ceiling all the time as she hates the upstairs neighbours making noise all the time. Cool old school stone house the grandfather Davidson lived in and awesome restoration done. Brian looks like a giant upstairs. Cool fireplace and Wheel outside. All the pictures inside the caretakers house are really cool too. The history on the Davidson's is amazing. I never knew how long they had been around. Oh great to get some original stone momento to take home.

Great video. Had the pleasure of seeing the cottage a few years back. Awesome place. Mike was doing a wee bbq with the donation proceeds going towards the upkeep…and paying for next bbq 😊. Great video of the early family life and the story he tells of the very start of the company. Couple of lads who wanted to get to their fishing holes. Have a great 2022.
We taped red and green tape around the bottom of the mirror bars.
Red is Port. Green is Starboard. Thats how you remember port and starboard, red and port are the shorter words, green and starboard are the longer words. Maritime.
Works with left and right, as well. Red and Left. Green and Right.
So, when at a loss, you can just look at the mirror tape and say "turn green"
And it's not as obvious as a sign on the mirror saying "Right"
Good suggestion! Although i jave no doubt she wiuld confuse that as well haha

It's run by the Dunedin HOG Chapter and it's their 25th Rally. I think you'd be blown by the atmosphere that weekend. If you are thinking about it, get your accommodation booked NOW! They get snapped up quick. You can always plan a visit to the cottage either on your way to or from Aviemore. Stay safe & enjoy yourselves. 👍🐰🏍

You should! We didn't know about it until a nice chap on the saturday told us about it. We messaged Mike and he met us there. Fascinating history, and whilst leaving we found an ancient Pictish stone site. 1000s of years old

We did almost 3 hours of filming, Mike had some fascinating stories about the early years and what he learnt whilst meeting the grand children and Willie G .
