I'm curious what a more "open" sounding muffler and a mandrel-bent X-pipe would sound like.
Magnaflow parts are a bit muddy in tone and that particular X-pipe is probably contributing to the problem, as well, but I like where you could go with this.

This is what i want done but straight pipe it with no magna flow. Just pure pipes. From X and down to the exhaust tips and have them blacked out. I drive a 2014 Ford F150 STX SPORT 4X4 with a 5.0 Coyote engine.
I would love to do that to mine...I want it louder but I want to avoid getting a drone. Wish you were closer. How much does a setup like that run if you do all of it including the tailpipes?

Why use an X pipe when that Magnaflow has an X pipe built in the muffler?
Double x pipe some people do 3 x pipes
Why do X pipe if you're using a dual in/out muffler? It's just a waste of money and will lose some DB
better exhaust scavenge which creates more power. it also cleans up the sound quite a bit
Not bad for 8 year old F150 kustom 4x4 2:42 sounds similar to GT500 Stang from same era.
A little raspy for me personally, but that's the way you do it folks. Straightpipe bs.....have some class people!!!

Oh hell no! Yeah this is a just a little bit unacceptable. You can barely hear this truck and sounds no different than a stock 2008 Ford Focus, and that's a damn shame 🤔 Owners should have just run open manifolds, which is hands down the best setup and provides optimal back pressure and improved used car lot warranty to 120 months on these 2014 Ford F150 5.0L's.

magna-flow mufflers are so disappointing
I can say the same for flowmaster....
Great thing about the aftermarket, there's a muffler for everyone and everyone's tastes.

Magnaflow's sound is worse than a flowmaster but it dosen't lack the excellent air flow like the flowmaster
@@aboodyalamrey2791 to you they may sound worse. I hate the hollow tin can sound of flowmaster and your correct in that "flowmaster" doesn't flow as well
Magnaflows oval mufflers are just too quiet. The “Magnapacks” sound great and can be louder but they drone bad
