Did anyones reverse lockout not clear the threshold hor reverse? I had to remove the spring and retaining ring and washer just to be able to get the car into reverse
A small Dremel tool would be a suitable option, or you could also use a flathead screwdriver along with a pair of pliers; either of these methods should work effectively. We admit that we might have used a more powerful tool than necessary with the angle grinder, but a small Dremel equipped with a small cutting bit should do the job perfectly
I can't wait to install it this weekend!!
Hey, I’m looking into getting one too. How does it feel?
Good stuff. I used this as a guide to remove my Turbo r-spec assembly. Thanks.

I had to use a dremel to get the reverse lockout to slide up
Any idea if the directions are similar to fit this in the Elantra N?
Can’t wait to get this
Did you get one? If so, how is it?
Can I ask what size punch you’re using for the pin removal?
If it helps, I just used an Allen wrench (from a set, to get the right size) and took a hammer to it. It worked perfectly 😅
@@ryanku468 that does help, thanks!
Do you actually need an angle grinder to remove the lock washer at 7:20?
