Why are offroad videos so satisfying to watch?
Don't listen to the negative replies I owned a 2016 Renegade Trailhawk put 45,000 miles on it and just traded in on a 2019 and have had no problems with either vehicle. These cars are designed here in the states by our engineers and built by Fiat like most of are vehicles are no longer built here. These TH-cam trolls jump in trying to tell you they are a Fiat they don't own one and have no idea what they are talking about they just like to talk out of their butt. Talk to people you see driving them they are all over the place.
RC Flyer Thanks for an actual valid reply from an actual owner. Yes, the trolls can get annoying, making useless blanket statements with no knowledge whatsoever of what they're talking about. Maybe paid by the UAW or by competitive brands? We love our 2019 Renegade Trailhawk. Can't speak to reliability yet, but have owned several other Jeeps and have had zero problems to date. I don't expect the Renegade to be any different.
Yes people need to talk to owners of vehicles that actually knows what they are talking about a person can have trouble with any new car if it has a good warranty don't worry get it fixed and keep rolling have fun with your new Renegade.
RC Flyer well 45k is nothing close to being reliable. you got to wait until 100k minimum
Nice easy ride with a great view. I just bought my girl a trailhawk. We put a small lift and sliders on it so she could get off the road whenever she was feeling adventurous. I'm very impressed with these little Jeeps.

How’s the turbocharged engine is it better than the 2.4 MultiAir? I haven’t had a good experience with that powertrain the cars that I’ve been in that had that engine would vibrate the interior especially the steering wheel if anyone is looking at a car from FCA that wants a 4 cylinder I’d recommend the 2.0 Turbo
Has to be your best yet amazing drive and great coverage. Awesome gives a more in depth coverage of the renegade like how you do the others. Rear passenger seats, cargo area etc

I took a trailhawk jeep in the woods in winter never got stuck pulled out two full size pick up trucks on way back lost the video
Always liked the Renegade, never realised there was a TrailHawk spec, guess we never got it here

@@lmCIoudz a Toyota because i have places to be that aren't the repair shop. After 130000 miles and 18 years of town driving the repair costs of non wear items total to £0. Original everything other than the wing, windscreen and door that got crashed in to.

Any other differences other than looks between the Renegade and Compass? I understand they’re the same platform but do notice the Compass has some other features such as available power tailgate....bummer the Renegade doesn’t have that

I drove one with the 1.8 engine for days, fuel economy is ridiculous even when driving gently on flat roads, the best I got was 17 MPG city and 25 highway. The trunk has less space than a small hatch, low end torque is lame.
And those A-pillars... Huge freaking blindspot all in the name of "design". Fun fact, they're like that (same thing with the long dash to increase depth) to give you the impression that you're driving a bigger car.
QuackGarage So would you choose the 2.4 MultiAir over the 1.8 turbo even though it has more torque ? It would’ve a blast if the 2.0 Hurricane Turbo was in there

Ok what would be best? A Trailhawk or a Subaru XV (outback) 4X4. Pricewise you could even have a Subara e-boxer for 34000 euros. We would an e-renegade 4X4 gonna cost knowing that the trailhawk costs a good 30000 euros right now. I personally think you will get more value for your dineros with a Subaru and that you can do exactely the same with it as with a trailhawk. Correct me if I am wrong.
Your exactly right. subaru xv is more reliable and just as capable. can be had with a manual as well in the subaru. the fiat renegade is only auto in the trailhawk. FCA is a joke the only way i would buy a renegade trailhawk is when it depreciates to 4 or 5k in about a year. then, it's just a toy.

but pedestrian visibility is probably the best in this car category
I drive one. The windshield is massive feeing in the renegades. The A pillar only really is a bother for U-Turns

What engine have u got in this one?
I believe the 2019 TrailHawk trim comes with Fiat's new 1.3 L MultiAir Turbo engine. I used to own a 2014 Fiat 500L with Fiat's older 1.4 L MultiAir Turbo engine. I guess somehow they lowered displacement but increased HP and torque for this model year.

@@Natethegreat200c I liked it for what it was, a *cheap* and practical car with a stronger than expected engine. However, repairs and parts were too expensive and the depreciation was too steep.

My girls renegade is a beast it's gone up many difficult trails right with wranglers and she averages 27 mpg
Has it had any reliability issues I want one just don't know if it is as bad as many say reliability wise

My mom's friend bought a high spec Renegade in 2018 for C$35,000 or so. A year later, something has come up and she needs to sell the car. No buyers, not even at C$22,500. Basically, buy this if you want to bleed money.
