OK what cleaner do you have in that black pressurised bottle cause I be sitting there for half hour cleaning that gunk off the exterior of the carb haha
Yeah, did all that a million times, does not fix the problem. Want some other answer that says its something other than the idle jet being clogged, because it's not. I can fill the idle jet well with solvent and it will siv right through it. Rebuilt this thing with new parts 50 different times, putting it on and off again, with the same problem. Only runs on choke, and stumbles when you twist throttle. It's not the idle jet.
iF YOU HAVE REBUILT IT MULTIPLE TIMES WITHOUT ANY CHANGE YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THE GASKETS AND EVERYWHERE THERE IS A PLACE AIR IS LEAKING IN WHERE IT SHOULDNT BE.
@@dakotawilliams329 Well, there is only one short rubber boot between the carb and the engine, that goes over the carb and is tightened on with a bog standard adjustable steel clamp. I have one more trick to try, and that's to take the carb off again, take off the rubber parts that will swell, and soak the whole carb for a week in a solvent like Berryman's B-12.... considering I don't have an ultrasonic cleaning machine. The idle jet is not removable, so I'm like, well, what if I soaked the whole bloody thing in whatever... Right now I just put half a can of B-12 in the gas tank (super solvent rich), and drove it to the nearest gas station 13 miles away to tank up and back... goosing it all the way running with choke on, set for maximum power, and though it stumbles and if I rev it I can get past the big dead spot.

@@CosmicSeeker69 hey Einstein: please jog my memory...when and where did I state that residual dirt/rust is the only source of carburetor contamination?
Thanks for getting my quad up and going so fast.
Of course!
So clean the carb?

Gonna be brake cleaner or gas
I’ve done this three times now… and still have to run on full choke, I don’t know what to do
What do you spray to clean the stuff up ?
Brake clean
I tried that but didn’t work! It’s something about mikuni style that sticks the cable in the center pin!
Put new carb on 89 bayuo 300 4x4 and wont run with choke off ?? And choke cable is really stiff to out back in off position
Nice work!!!
Thanks!
Nice. New air filter as well?

@choppergirl probably time for piston rings and new gaskets all around
@@xtp.onnabeat already rebuilt the top end

What was in the pressurized black tank that you sprayed the carburetor with
Brake cleaner
How much does the bulk brake cleaner and that pressurized can run? I like that!
Mine does the same thing at the start it only runs on choke but when it’s warm it runs fine why?
Mine too did you ever find out what it was.?
Thanks.
THERE IS NO POINT IN CLEANING CARBURETORS UNLESS YOU CLEAN OUT FUEL TANK ALSO. OTHERWISE CARBURETORS WILL JUST CLOG UP ALL OVER AGAIN.
CARBS DONT CLOG UP FROM DIRT. THEY CLOG FROM FUEL SITTING AND BECOMING MUSH
