Thanks for posting this... replaced the whole fill valve and float arm assembly about a year ago.. now giving me this same problem... going to replace this seal now... cheers 👍
Found a seller on Amazon for a couple of those diaphragms, costing all of around £3.50p. Ordered Sunday, arrived Monday, within 20 minutes both my cisterns were back up and running again! Probably saved 50 quid getting a plumber out. Thanks again @@TheRepairer
If could give you 100 thumbs up I would. Followed this vid are found that my seal had the exact same split as in your video. Just need to get a replacement now. Thanks a million for this vid.
Got a pack of 3 spares on Amazon. Fitted a new one but was still getting a very slight trickle of water. I ended up putting the new rubber diaphragm from one part on to the original plastic part and now all is good. Thanks again.
I have the same issue , my seal is torn too. so just ordered one. Hopefully it's a nice simple fix. Cheers for the video. Will update if it worked or not.

Great vid. Very clear. I need to order that part. But also it seems like my float was not going up with the water line (I used a watering can to fill the tank) but it only moves when I push it. Any ideas or other videos on this?
It's ok it was me. I knocked one side of the hinges out slightly making it stiff to move. Just waiting for the rubber seal to come and hopefully back to working normally
The float has got to work for the seal replacement to work. it’s difficult to say without seeing for myself I would check if the float is free to move up and down.
Just replaced my washer all went well. Unfortunately the toilet makes a pumping noise from the top of the white round section and carries on filling up resulting in the water going into the bowl
Thank you mate! Your video saved me replacing the whole thing!!
Thanks for the nice comment and well done with your repair.
Many Thanks mate, you've helped no end!

That's it fixed! Works perfectly - full cistern in 48 seconds 😅
This was very useful - I have been looking for a fix like this and here it is Thanks for that
You're welcome!
Thanks for this, both of my toilets are suffering slow refill and looks like they're SIAMP cisterns as well so chuffed there's a potential quick fix

@joeyla2006 I had the same problem and ended up getting a diaphragm from the maker siamp. Better quality rubber. Them amazon ones don't last long.
@davidm3maniac201 An excellent point the repair I did is still lasting but the oem quality was good for around 15 years.

Thanks it will work.
well how did it go? has your part arived yet?
@@Tartabirdgames_official sadly it didn't improve things at all. Still very slow to fill.
Thank so much just fixed my toilet but I paid over £5 for the part from screwfix 😂 but I saved on postage by collecting from store I suppose
You’re welcome £5 is still a dirt cheap fix.
@@TheRepairerdefinitely! Would love to know what a plumber would charge!
@lisapatterson2236 Quite, from my experiences with them they like to earn the greater part of a regular employees weeks wages in a single day!
Do you have the link to the replacement part.

Is the toilet float stick it’s easy to knock whist installing this part.
Was a faulty replacement washer
Mine new one is not cutting the water to fill. Water still drip...
Has it been screwed up tight?
How much should a plumber charge for fixing this?
I’m unsure on rates as I try not to use them but probably way too much in my experience!
Are you John virgo
No, I can’t play snooker as well as he does!
SO IF THE SEAL IS SPLIT. NOTHING SAID ABOUT THAT ,, IT WILL FILL UP AND OVERFLOW IN TO THE TOILET BOWL ,
That didn’t happen in this case it was just slow to refill and water shut off fine.
@@TheRepairer My problem is its not filling up after a flush but if i turn on the sink tap it starts to fill the tank cistern up
