    Man! That's demonstration pal. WELL DONE, haven't seen detailed video like that in ages. have been looking for you , like , in ages! Nobody in any video tells us if the pump is sucking or blowing. It might be autonoetus (self-evident) what it does, but for not a chemistry student but a DIYer it's not. Thx alot.

    Have you considered a silicone cap for the post during vacuum Buckner filtration as an accessory? Just an added safety feature.

    Anyone have a good source to explain micron sizes? Sometimes I see a 1micron Dutch weave allows barely anything, and then a 50 has large openings vs a 150 micron…. I’m always confused!!
    One article says the micron is based on the amount of spaces between a set area. If a more dense filter, then more microns.
    But other articles, and including my accidentally purchased sizes, I have a 1 micron Dutch weave that is amazing and barely lets anything thru

    What size tube is used for the 500ml flask,it looks like 2 different tubes connected, one part for the turbo and the other for the flask, where can I get these,your website is out out the buchner and filter papers

      This is a 1000ml flask. It comes with a 3/8" id hose. There is an adapter that is a 1/8" id hose, with a connector piece to attach it to the 3/8" id hose. We are out and hope to have more in a couple months. You can find similar Buchner filters around the web such as on Amazon.

    I have a 3 CFM Single Stage Pump Kit for vaccum purging after source turbo. Do I need a cold trap for that? Or am I fine since I usually only plan to run the pump for 5 minutes and turn it off anyway?

    Great Video! just a question regarding the tubing, it's got to be vacuum tubing you said, regular vinyl plumbing tubing won't work?

    • @ExtractCraftVideos

      Thin walled tubing like surgical tubing will collapse under vac. More stout tubing is necessary

    Awesome demonstration! BTW, is there a good heavy metal filter that I can put into one of these Buchner funnels that will remove metals such as; mercury, lead, copper, iron, etc., etc.? I'm definitely interested in this particular kit you have. Thanks!

    Could we use this with perfume/ethanol?? Perfume needs to be filtered with the ethanol and concentrate together.

    • @ExtractCraftVideos
      @ExtractCraftVideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, could you expand on this question? Many folks use our equipment to make absolute oils that then go into perfumes, but I'm not sure if that answers your question.

    • @wyomingpark
      @wyomingpark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExtractCraftVideos We mix 100% concentrate with ethanol when we upscale to commercial quantities. It then needs to run through a filter to remove impurities and material fallout from the perfume. Sometimes twice. And any cloudiness in the perfume as well. So the liquid is perfumers alcohol 95% ethanol and 5% water mixed with perfume oil concentrate. 10-15% concentrate to 80% alcohol.
      Can you do this safely with this filtering system?

    • @ExtractCraftVideos
      @ExtractCraftVideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wyomingpark You could definitely use our buchner funnel system for filtering that, yes, I don't believe you'd want to process that solution after in the Source Turbo though. But you could use the buchner funnel for filtration.

    • @ExtractCraftVideos
      @ExtractCraftVideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Turbo mode takes 2.5 to 3 hours to complete a full crucible, where normal takes 4 to 6. You could stop it and run it on turbo. Also make sure your elevation is set properly as this is very important.

    I dont get it. If the machine removes 98% of the ethanol then what are you running through the filter?

    • @ExtractCraftVideos
      @ExtractCraftVideos  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The filtration step happens before you run it through the machine. So you cover the plant material with 190 proof non-denatured ethanol, let them soak together, then filter out the plant material. Once filtered, you run this filtered solution through our equipment to evaporate off and recollect the ethanol, leaving your oil behind.

    Will this work in states that cannot get strong solvents like everclear (cough michigan). Things we can get are 710spirits, so can you use this with 710spirits to allow extracts of high caliber and easy ordering to all 50 states?

    • @dertythegrower
      @dertythegrower 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 710spirits contains another popular solvent in herbal extract commercial grade, (4.5% high purity n-Heptane). This is what makes 710spirits shippable to our state, and many users are in michigan making RSO. Thanks for your machinery, cheers

    Early in the video you gave some wrong info......Putting two filters of the same micron size back to back or on top of each other is not going to make it a smaller micron filter. It does not work that way. If you take a 100 micron filter and put another 100 micron filter on top of it you did NOT make a 50 micron filter. You simply have two 100 micron filters stacked. The filter openings don't get any smaller by stacking 2 filters.
    That's as far as I watched. smh

    • @ExtractCraftVideos
      @ExtractCraftVideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It won't be the same as a slow flow, but it will increase the filtration level from just doing one fast flow.
