That air regulator has a water and oil separator which relies on gravity to work. You need to mount it so the bowl is facing down for it to work, otherwise you're getting water and oil mist in your machine
Should've recovered at least 80% on first pass. I'd like to see the second pass in the future. I imagine your rotoevaporating for recovery of ethanol. Would love to see the numbers per kilo of material! Til then, dewatering before drying a wet harvest seems to be the best use of this machine.

Where can I get a machine? Id sure like to do some processing on a smaller scale to start. I know here in the Midwest they charge these farmers outrageous prices. Someone else used this similar press at 131psi..squeezed out even more.. hopefully this helps,The oil was thicker and darker. One more thing,they just added it without water.

100 percent correct first thing I noticed that whole batch wouldn't pass to be sold. They they test it For contamination. Never use plastics in the hemp industry especially with pure grain alcohol knuckle heads.

Ethanol is Poison so I suggest putting Fresh Hemp in a Mason Jar and cover that with Olive Oil , put a lid on it and set it in a sunny window for 2 weeks and Wahla DIY CBD Oil.
I concur. I re use 5g green food grade buckets for a direct immersion hydro grow but for any pet solvent (alcohol hexane acetone) I'd be using stainless or glass. It pains me to see actual dispensaries using plastic bottles or pouches to retail any bud CBD or THC. I know it's a cost thing. You could rinse the damaged /detached glands out of a small jelly jar not so good from a ziplock.
excuse the ignorance but if the ethanol is used to bind whats the point in the screw press>? isn't it just extracting moisture from the plant matter as well as the cbd, so wouldn't just some sives be just as good if not better at extracting the valuable oil with out added water and other content,.?

Most of our customers are using the press on post process waste material. This is just an example of 3:1 ethanol saturated hemp being pressed. Ideally you could use this as a primary extraction vessel but you will need to filter out the undesireables that press into the liquid after. This was just a test all material thrown away.

Luckily you can process this oil in laboratories to remove all unwanted molecules.

Natural Products India I used to live in Tenerife, part of Spain A lot of people was growing cannabis for its thc / cbd content for pain relief They would make a tincture, and mix it in with almond butter and possibly other things, but all natural. They was having some good results from bad back sufferers/ sports injuries etc. When I left they was working on making a cream without any nut produce because some people have allergies to it. This was a test. The press liquor was thrown out. 93% ethanol recovery. 98% CBD recovery. The customer who wanted us to test their material now has our press in a C1D1 room. The press has paid itself off 20 fold already as they are one of the more reputable CBD companies on the market now.
I prefer MCT oil and many of our customers do use this. This year we will be directly involved with over 40,000 acres of Hemp growing and production. that is close to 50,000,000 lbs of dry hemp flower. that is 2,000,000 KGS of refined CBD Distillate. That will be a very big percentage of what you see on the shelfs in 2020. That number will be ten times higher in 2021. Walgreens, CVS, Coca Cola, as well as 100s of smaller brands. The only way to do industrial scale processing is the way they've been doing it for many decades. The Citrus industry is a perfect example. it's your choice if isolation of molecules to the ones your want in your body is good enough for you. I agree, but revert to the other comment, short of using MCT oil as a extractor and carrier for the cannabinoids , there are very few options on extraction right now. 95% of all the CBD oil on the shelves you find will have touched ethanol or even worse Hexane as some point during it's life. The beauty is that the further steps down the line. Fractional Distillate and refinement to the isolated CBD molecule, means just that.. the only thing that gets into the vials is the wholly Isolated CBD molecule. No other molecules. It's chemistry and science, just like when you take ibuprofen, aspirin, vitimin C tablets ( Oranges have been processed with ethanol for over four decades by the way for oils, flavoring and full chemical extraction ). But I get it, it sure doesn't sound nice the first time you hear it.

Explosion proof certification on the press. haven't seen or heard of one accident in 18 months with over 60 of these presses running up to 20 hours a day across 11 states. Fire Marshalls inspect and give the green light, also. The Marshalls in California are the only ones who bother to call us to get our certifications.

you have to work up gradually to get the machine into a rhythm with regards to hydraulic pressure building. analogy. When you are facing uphill at a Red Light, you don't try and start off in 3rd gear. You go 1st, 2nd 3rd. If you start at 80 psi with this press at start, normally the VFD trips out the motor
Hemp Press so is it electric over air over hydraulic? The analogy provided does not make sense. Air over hydraulics do not use multi speed transmissions.

Over 170 are using them. Generally we don't see an increase beyond 80 PSI but it really depends on the material and the process being used

Hemp Press so is it electric over air over hydraulic? The analogy provided does not make sense. Air over hydraulics do not use multi speed transmissions.
