I like your new video yesterday this is nice firewood you did good jop yesterday buddy you do good on your video love your video god bless too you guys buddy
You almost got hit . Thank God it missed ya . I’ve never seen that happen. By the way , your strong and a good worker. Thanks for takin time to video this for us . Craig. Pa.
Hi Ben!!😀😀 That was definitely some nasty stuff. I'm so worried that the splitter is going to self destruct with wood like that. I would take my 660 and rip them into nice shaped blocks that you could have sold if you wanted to. There will definitely be a lot of heat in those blocks. Take care my friend!!😀😀 Logger Al
Great video Ben. Gnarly wood but it will give you some good heat in the boiler. The crotch has all sorts of grain orientation, tight grain at that, and is very dense. Definitely made your splitter work. Andrew at EastonMade sure makes a great splitter, proof is in your video Ben. Stay safe and have fun.
Great video “barely” surviving country life! 😂 That would have been painful.. If you look up boiler wood in the dictionary you’d see a picture of that stuff. Should be great in the boiler.
What are your thoughts on a “skid steer upside down style splitter” to bust up the big stuff into more manageable chunks? How does the box wedge do on those big pieces v. 4-way wedge?
Would you prefer a 12-22 and a skid steer splitter, or just a 22-28? I already have a deposit in with Eastonmade, and get tree service wood so some are very large locust, elm, maple, etc.. Some nasty wood for sure, and many I have to cut up with chainsaw just to move them to the splitter regardless of the splitter. I use for my pottery kilns, so need the 7 way box wedge for easier handling size wood. Many Thanks.
Ben, I noticed you have the extra tall 4 way. What wedges did you order with your machine? I have to wait until January to get mine and would like to get it right when it's delivered.
@@TheDriftlessHomestead id get rid of the 6way and add the tall 4 way. The 12 22 i use doesn't reslly have enough ass to push blocks through the 6way unless its a really straight piece.
Young man use that lift not cure back or at least mend your knees you only got one back take it from a pro I've messed mine up pretty good James T North Carolina
I am really impressed with the raw power that splitter has.
You Have The Reflexes of a Cat, Glad to See that You Were Not Hurt !
Haha. Thanks man
@@survivingcountrylife7069 I do truly enjoy watching your videos, and think that you and your Family are the salt of the earth, God Bless.
That’s one sick work horse spiller🪵🪵, that’s not work that fun❤️❤️
Morning Ben. That is one powerful splitter. Let the equipment do all the heavy work and save your back. Be safe👍

You are blessed.
For sure. Thank you
Great job, just a few big pieces to split
Back to straight stuff now

Great to see the hole family out there... nice setup you have..
You almost got a hole in your chest.
I had a piece of oak hit me in the chest about 15 years ago.
Stay safe. Enjoy watching your videos
Thanks man
Your welcome.
Thanks for another great video 👍
Those big chunks can be a pain to split. Your setup with the Eastonmade and the mini excavator takes a lot of the wasted time and manual effort out!
Nice.😆
monsters like those, I reccomend your box wedge!!
Maybe. Seems like it's really tough to bust twisted grain with a box wedge
That's making that machine work! Good work
Thanks Mike
Smooth operator!
Thank ya sir

Hey young man, been very windy here also, Same here, Big Gnarly wood! My Bobcat is up for the task! Take care, your a working smart! 🚜🪵👍🏼🇱🇷
Wow! Bet you r not missing that card table? Awesome to see your abilities with both machines and still get a workout.
Haha. Not missing the card table for sure. I like this outfit
Could not listen wind to bad but bet you did a great show
Tough wood, look out for flying blocks. Good ending.
Thanks lady
Good stuff Ben , takin it easy enjoying the splittin time 👍. Enjoy that ice cream S.C.L. Family. Later on
That big wood is a pain, don't care who you are.
For sure !!!
More work than worth Brian.
For me I don't get large rounds every day so I see it as a Challenge and I expect..
That was some UGLY wood now it's beautiful boiler wood. You sure know your excavator well👍

I probably should have noodles some. I'd definitely be kicking myself if I bust my splitter
You have more patience than me.. I would have taken the chainsaw to those big pieces to break them down a bit before splitting.
About the worst wood you could ever split, good job!

Thanks man. I'm really happy with the splitter for sure
Great video.. do you have a box wedge? If not pick one up they make a big heavy round disappear in 4 or 5 passes
Yes I got one. But usually don't use for the knotty stuff. Works great on straight grained rounds thou

Big straight pieces box wedge is good. Crooked crotches I think the single knife of four way works better. I wish I had a skid loader splitter

I like big rounds too Ben.. Thanks for showing us how you bust them down..
Ben that one came back at you pretty fast
It sure did. Always good to lean back if one's going through hard or if ya try to wedge another piece in there with it
You moved pretty quick when that piece of wood was coming at you.
Ben, I noticed you have the extra tall 4 way. What wedges did you order with your machine? I have to wait until January to get mine and would like to get it right when it's delivered.
I just got the tall 4 way and a box wedge for boiler wood. The box wedge will split it in 5 pieces if the round is big enough
I have a 6 way and the box coming for the 12-22. Do you think I should add the tall 4 way?

I can try. I'll have to try and figure it out
I was asked to do that too but I couldn’t figure it out?
@@JoesFirewoodVideos I'm not sure either
Would help with the wind.
@@JoesFirewoodVideos You already have it.
No Mickey Mouse logs in that mess like the shirt you are wearing!!!
Definitely the piece in the thumbnail pic will become boiler wood
