  • Auburn is my go to place to ride and in this series I'll document all of the trails people ride in Auburn SRA and Mammoth Bar OHV. This video I go over the main way people loop the Confluence trail as well as give complete trail guide of the features throughout the trail.

    5:38 Yup that was me a couple weeks ago. First time on the trail in 20 years and enjoying a new bike. Took the low line and got tossed off. End up 30' down the cliff before I stopped. Fortunately my head was able to break the bikes fall from making it further down. Lots of matted grass everywhere down there so I knew I wasn't alone in making that mistake!

    2024 update, waterfall and the big rock are washed out and have higher risk, check them out on your first lap of the year or after any major storm and Culvert got a little rework this spring. Parks had closed the trail for a while, and suggested they may try and build a bridge at the waterfall, doubt it though my guess would be heavy machinery to fill it the wash out and put the water into a pipe. The hit at 1:49 used to be more built up about 15 years ago, but it's never been properly shaped. Weekends mean chill out in Auburn Ravine, way too many people on bi-directional trails for PRs.

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I don’t even go up there on the weekends normally. It’s pretty busy. Over the last few years hikers have definitely taken to Confluence more. There used to be very little foot traffic except at the bottom. If they put a bridge in that was metal where the water could just flow through it, that wouldn’t be to evasive. We’ll see. 🤷‍♂️

    As ppl said, we’ll done vid. I actually tried the “No peddle challenge”. Think I tagged you on my IG. Only made it to the first tech uphill. (Counter intuitive-I was on an intense ebike lol) oh, I’ve encountered a momma bear and 2 cubs on confluence like 20yrs ago. Was all good. Cheers

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  ปีที่แล้ว

      It took a few times to get the little uphill's. At this point I haven't got all three on the same attempt. I'll get to the top and have to put in one or two pedals. I keep trying the no pedal from there just to practice the other spots. It's not something I do every time, but it's fun to switch it up sometimes.
