2002 Ford Ranger Keyless Remote Programming

I have a 2002 ranger, I didnt get any kind of remote when I bought the truck a few years ago, can I assume that my ranger is set up for remote its an //xlt ithats not right, its the fancy one .

What happens if you lost your original fob and ordered a new fob that needs to be programmed? Does this method work for this

It worked as advertised except when I turned the key off and removed it. The fob wouldn't work. Any further advice?

I tried this several times with my 2009 ranger, but it didn't do anything. The door locks didn't cycle. Any advice?

When you tried programming the keys fobs with the door open did it make all the noise but still not work?

No, it worked for me without issue. Does your remote do the same thing with door open and closed?

@@DoubleYellow857 well I'm not sure, I got these for a friend and she said that it would do the lock noise and stuff but it wouldn't actually lock or unlock the door. I will have to ask her next time I see her. Thank you though for your video though, it was helpful.
