- Programming Ford 3 button key FOB. No Special Tools Required.
As a side note if you had more then one FOB you are programming you would leave the key in the on position after programming the first FOB and then hit a button on the next unprogrammed FOB and you would be good to go. If the second FOB failed to program just repeat the steps for the programming of the first FOB and your all set.

If you have more than 1 FOB, I had 4, do all at the same time. When you get to the part where you press a button on the FOB, do all, one after another within the 20 Seconds.

After attempting a few times (as indicated), I was able to program a FOB I got from a junkyard. The tips were very helpful to understand the process.

What do you do if after 8 times the truck does not activate the door locks for programing? My fob does not work after 3 years and the battery shows 2.9v. Its a 2008 ranger.
Not sure if you're still having a problem, but I've seen comments on several videos of people saying theirs worked trying it 5 times.
And a few said 9 times.
@@YouLookinAtMe-Bro My door locks now work for some reason after the 8 key on setting thing, but the fob dont work until I did it about 5-6 times, THEN it started to work with the fob. Thanks for the info, it now works.

I've was able to set the Remote but stops working when I walk away then I have to use my key then it starts working again I lock it walk away an stops doing same thing it started doing with the Original what else could it be other then the Remote?

I have 1997 Ford F-150 Mark III Edition and it didn’t work any suggestions?
I have a 1999 ford ranger and I replaced the battery in the remote and even ordered two new remotes on ebay.This method does not work.I guess it will cost me a fortune but all I can do now is take it to a dealer or locksmith that can do it.And I have seen many other people that say this did not work for them either.

Programs and worked except I have 2 key Fobs.. I programmed my wife's and mine doesn't work.. reprogrammed mine and my wife's doesn't work.. seems I can only have 1 fob working.. new batteries and haven't had this problem since the truck was new on 2002.... any advise
you need to program them both at the same time: on/off 8 times (door locks will go on) then press LOCK on 1st fob then press LOCK on 2nd fob.

Did not work for me, watched another video, and on the 8th time he started the truck. Then the doors locked and was able to program my key fobs.
99 f150 and couldn’t get it it to cycle on the 8th turn. Took it to batteries plus and they couldn’t get it either.

I programmed the key but the issue I have is that when I hit the alarm bottom i can't turn it off only stops when I start the car any idea why is this happening
Did you try the unlock button 2 times real fast?
Or holding the panic button down for a few seconds?
Mine shuts off with the unlock button. 🤔
It didn't work on my 2016 transit. Turn it 8 times and nothing happens

Something strange about the early 1998 Crown Vic's, only they seen to not have this procedure work or any other procedure. That is all 1998 before June manufacture that is. They are going to make me pay $100 for this, UNBELIEVABLE! If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it. I do have the OBD II scan tool but there is nothing to do with key fobs on it.

Same thing happened to me. I ended up popping mine apart, unassembled it & cleaned it out with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. Let it dry & reassembled it & tried to program it again & it worked!

Take the key fob apart. Pull out the insides & clean it with a q tip dipped in alcohol. Let dry & reassemble. My new fob I bought on Amazon wouldn't program until I did this. Now it works!
