    How well do your guitars age? The colored pencil guitar, for example, is it still holding up? Do any of these unconventional materials ever come apart or show their age faster than conventional guitars? Does the epoxy yellow over time? How well do they hold their setups? Do you have to adjust the intonation more often?

      Any perceived difference in sound comes purely from pickups and string selection. The material used to build the body of electric guitars has 0 effect on the sound it produces. You can even make it out of thin air and it would sound exactly the same.

    • @Onk3lM0
      @Onk3lM0 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I dont think the guitar material influences the sound in any profound way. Think about it. The signal has to go through the pickups, strings, cables, amp, microphone and your speakers. The chance that you would perceive any notable difference if he played a guitar made of a different material but everything else the same would be very small.

    I love how the newspapers give that rustic look. That’s kind of awesome. Also, the epoxy should not delaminate since it’s used for wood gluing, unless you are using it with materials that that type of glue normally delaminates from.

      He basically made micarta, layers of fibers glued together, it's tough as hell, tougher than wood, I assume it should hold up fine structurally, but i would still look out for cracks because it tends to be a bit brittle, specially with how little resin he used for each page

    • @j7a1k1e
      @j7a1k1e 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Think about it this way, he made a resin neck with a fibrous support structure built in. We've seen tons of purely resin guitar necks, this one should be even stronger than that.

    • @kevinotoole885
      @kevinotoole885 2 ปีที่แล้ว
