@garciaeddie5 so sadly I don't play many other games it's why most of the music was zombies for so long so I was really happy to listen to Engage's ost and felt it was a good fit for the video. Hopefully one day I'll be able to pull a bunch of different music as it fits each scenario and topic. Glad you enjoyed it!
The worst part about it is I genuinely felt duped, the insane dropoff in support and continued content is so felt throughout the entire game, especially in the season graphics showing all the new content and consistently relegating Zombies to a tiny little corner if even in the picture at all.

@@ama9385-w2g I’m speaking of games like AW, WW2, and IW which are games which have their own positives and even things they do better than games like bo3. Especially WW2 and IW, AW less so.
MWZ makes me so sad because it really did a 180 for me at launch. I was a hater pre-launch, then I really enjoyed the game from launch to S1. Then after S2 it felt like it just got more and more depressing despites more content still dropping
MWZ was decently fun but that fun will always be subjective as videogames should be. I don't blame Treyarch for getting out early, but the lore of MWZ had to beat around the bush being set after the largest entry in the DA timeline. This led MWZ to be one big teaser for BO6 while leaving a small crack in the door in case they need to magic up another modern zombies mode in the future. There's NO proof I have a bias here, but I think Vanguard gave us more purposeful worldbuilding with the lore even if the mode was cashbait like MWZ. One of the two got an ending though...
I do blame them Executives don't know crap about game development, this IS TREYARCHS FAULT TOO Sick of people just talking the publisher when they want what we want, a good product that will make money
I don't really know if we can say Treyarch got out early, as in it was their choice, since I am pretty sure that Activsion forced a studio swap to put Treyarch in full force on BO6. The really unfortunate thing is that the studio that was put in charge if i am remembering correctly had lost almost half its staff in a massive firing that hit multiple Activision studios. Though I don't remember who took over without looking it up. Plus for having a 4 year build time on BO6 Treyarch picked up alot of work at Activisions demand for Sledgehammer twice in that 4 years. They had to do the full build and support on Vanguard zombies, on an engine that didn't have anything for zombies setup, which is why it didn't launch with round based and didn't have it planned until the backlash turned too severe. Than they setup/launched and supported for about what 3-5months on MW3: Zombies.
great video stanley, thankful for someone able to put this much thought and love in zombies and keep it entertaining! hope to see the BO4 super review soon!
As someone who’s played every zombies experience since the OG WaW I enjoyed my time with MWZ and I think if another studio like Sledgehammer or IW take the reins of MWZ with the proper time to develop and good post launch it could be a huge mode along side Treyarch’s traditional round based. I think zombies as a mode has so much room to experiment and provide a variety of experiences, but it’s all how it’s handled and unfortunately MWZ just wasn’t handled the best. MWZ was definitely unique and provided me with an experience I wouldn’t get from any other COD zombies mode so hopefully this idea isn’t thrown to the wayside and another studio picks it up and runs with it. Great video Stanley.
It’s the only way to move forward for these beings that get involved with the aether Look at the keepers, Monty, primis, ultimis, victus, And now samantha likely Richthofen again, all of requiem The bad guys always lose but it costs the good guys everything And it’s not looking too good for ravenov and ava either
I bought this game for mwz a few days ago when it went on sale and im loving it. Wish they kept supporting it, I hope to see this expanded upon in a future title. Cant wait to get my hands on bo6. W Vid
Hey man, just finished watching the podcast with Milo. Just want to say sorry for those toxic in the community who may be giving hate. But proud to see there is someone with different opinions who stands by them, finds positivity but is still willing to criticize and listen to other side. I may not agree with some or most of your takes but that’s the world and it’s okay.👍🏼
Having completely skipped Vanguard and MWZ as a player who only plays Zombies modes, I'm very happy with my purchasing decisions. It was difficult initially to resist the urge to avoid "Treyarch Developed Zombies" but very glad I managed to hold myself back seeing how both modes were handled.
And yet people are dumb enough to fall for their BS yet again with BO6 They add a new movement system and suddenly the game is fixed and amazing, zero standards from the average cod player and why the franchise is in the toilet
Man, Rizzo yelling THE MIMICCCCC has been haunting my mind for a while now, kept thinking I heard it during the video! Wait.... But seriously, an excellent video good sir
Nothing like a 2-hour long GOATley557 video to listen to while I work on stuff. MWZ definitely had a strong start, despite all odds, but they fumbled it straight out the gate with middling updates in favor of shifting focus on BO6 (which is probably a good thing in hindsight, but I still can't help but feel slighted after spending $60 on this). This type of game mode definitely has potential though in future zombies entries, but I feel with how MWZ was treated by the developers (and frankly the playerbase) any chance of that is squandered.
The problem I had with mwz was for its story. There wasn't any good main antagonist. I mean think about it. We had some good main antagonist for zombies in the past even from the non- treyarch developers. I mean we got Willard weiler from iw Peter straub from world war II and so many others. Well all we got in mwz is just Zacyev who only shows up in The preseason
@@THEBUGSAREBACCCCKKKKKKKKKK I forget that games aren't $60 anymore lol, but still, I'd say MWII (2022) is WAY worst. Infinity Ward is easily the worst at making cod games.
Why is mw2 the worst? I mean, the campaign had cool missions and moments and the mp wasn't bad in my experience, I'm mostly speaking in ignorance cuz I didn't really play all the seasons, I dropped In season 2 and that's pretty much it, just curious if the game became worse overtime or what happened@@joshuashawYT
I still overall enjoyed my time on MWZ, & I’m glad 3ARC keep trying open world zombies (something that I think can work exceptionally well with proper care). I will say the mode is infinitely more fun when you bypass the cooldowns with Tombstone (surprised you didn’t mention it, especially early on it was so valuable, even still nowadays), though it’s unfortunate it feels necessary to break the game to keep playing more than a couple runs every couple of days. Great video!
this isnt super related to the video at large but, i discovered you on twitter a few weeks ago and you showed up on my feed slowly more and more with zombies related things and brought such a fun and refreshing take to see on everything when all i had ever seen in discussion with the mode for year it seemed at that point was solely negativity. i'm really glad to have discovered your channel and see such a refreshing take on everything to do zombies related and have genuinely good insight and thought into everything and feel like just "oh x thing is bad". your videos are fantastic and so clearly have so much love and talent behind them. excited to see anything and everything you put out content wise for this upcoming year. o7
THE MIMIC! anyway another great video stan i might give another chance to the mode while waiting for bo6, the last time i played it was during preseason
Having only the Warzone map was the biggest letdown for me, if they had added rebirth island and vondel, as additional maps alongside urzikstan, the mode would have been a lot more fun
I played MWZ like crazy until I beat Greylorm and the 1st elder sigil rift. After that, and seeing every update was just another rift, I felt like I had my fill. The last story mission looked cool though!
It wasn't It sucked and was designed to waste your time with riding the flying vehicles to the top Then they reused the bossfight for a "sEcReT" bossfight for another useless blueprint and weapon skin that is weapon exclusive so it's not even worth doing Plus all of this can be done solo, I've beat Greylorm solo with him having 3 player health
Fantastic video! MWZ is such a weird game for me. I do enjoy playing it but only in short bursts. Like I'll play a game and then not touch it for like three weeks then play a single game and the cycle repeats. Just like with Vangoated, if there were survival maps thrown into the game I think the community would be a lot nicer to the game. MWIII features 8 different zombies themed remakes of multiplayer maps. Why didn't they just have these be survival maps. Yeah they wouldn't exactly be great but it's at least new content and gives round based players a chance to play the game. Also very surprising the map never recieved any seasonal change up like the Blackout map did. Blackout had the zombies themed version of the map with fog and red water and there was also the flooded version that changed the entire layout. It seems like such an obvious thing to add to MWZ. Then after the seasonal event the variant of the map becomes another map you can play on. Another surprising thing (which I wouldn't have played) is that they never added a PvPvE mode. You'd think with the whole Deadbolt vs. Terminus thing that'd be a given. Maybe as Terminus you could retake fortresses taken by Deadbolt soldiers. Maybe Terminus could have unique objectives like defending the drills from AI Deadbolt soldiers. Or better yet actual players! We haven't seen multiplayer zombies modes since Black Ops 2 so you'd think they would wanna jump on that idea. Also, why didn't they add the scavenger? It's a giant map, you'd think the ONE sniper rifle wonder weapon would be the most obvious choice. Idk at this point I'm just spitballing ideas for a game that clearly didn't have the resources it needed. Regardless, great video as always!
I really hope the eather blade comes back in bo6. Maybe the design is more crude like a raw crystal since bo6 is further back in time. Not to mention it would be really cool to see a upgrade quest for it similar to the boost from the hells redeemer to retriever
God no don't give them even worse ideas Schematics need to be canned so they can't nerf the drop rates and waste so much of our time to make us play more of their mediocre poorly made crap
Really nice video Stanley, been playing MWZ since it came to gamepass as I couldn't justify getting MW3 just for the zombies when it released but I've been having a lot of fun with it as flawed as it is! Also every time I heard THE MIMIC it felt like rizzo had seeped into your brain and video lmao
2 hours!? BANGER! I'd like to say before watching, that i thought MWZ was a fun time. it wasn't amazing sure, especially if you were looking for round based zombies, but i think MWZ has been the best example in recent years in introducing zombies to a casual community, with the timer actually being a helpful incentive to not have your games go on for hours and hours.
It’s really upsetting that zombies keeps getting abandoned. MWZ has a lot of great of stuff but it’s like you said. For every good thing, there’s like 3 that are big stinkers. One step forward two steps back. I love the idea of jumping forward into the future and seeing Requiem is all dead, Ravenov is still alive, and many other plot points had me excited for every new update! The cutscenes were amazing. But it being left to die is so frustrating
I need a sound bite for THE MIMIC🗣️‼️ Also excellent video you and I basically share the same thoughts and opinions on what went well and what went wrong this was definitely a great project at first but then got left in the dust due to SHG not being a very capable studio (sorry advanced warfare fans i promise im one of you) and pressures from Activision and Microsoft plus treyarch being pulled between their own project and this. Edit. Speaking on replayability but this mode is also entirely online and given how unpopular it is I definitely don't see it's servers being left on for very long let alone people playing it unless they're absolutely hardcore outbreak fans but once Microsoft/Activision pull the plug thats it I'm surprised DMZ still has servers tbh.
This title was so upsetting for me. After DMZ, I thought COD was finally making some good warzone alternatives. As someone who loved Warzone 1, it was fantastic. When MWZ was announced as basically PVE DMZ, I was so excited. Even when it came out, and everyone was shitting on it, I was hopeful. When the first "content" update launched, I knew it was dead
This is made worse by the fact that DMZ would get most of the Warzone 2 content as it was updated. They even added the Halloween stuff into DMZ, which was awesome.
This game looks really sick in tier 3 when you're watching someone who's completely set up. The setup to get there looks so boring that I'll never bother to do it
It's just T2 with super sprinters and bullet sponge zombies Oh and the constant fighting over contracts which will cause issues as the devs were so dumb they didnt think 15 people in T3 and 4 contracts was a bad idea
As a MWZ and Outbreak fan, this was a great review and I am glad that you were very much fair and also critical with it. I am definitely stciking with MWZ as I love the open world zombie concept especially with cod zombies and it is what got me into cod zombies with Outbreak. I am still on a camo grind and having fun until BO6 zombies. I am thankful that it was given a chance nonetheless despite its flaws and it being at the end of the cycle.
@@Furinalover2736 of course! I'm glad it came across that way. I have a ton of issues with the mode but there is a ton to like despite what people may think and I'm glad it came across that way!
What a banger and massive block of a video. Good job. Indeed the mode had potential but the sudden layoffs from MS at activision during its lifecycle is the reason in my personal opinion to just do the bare minimum and possibly spare content for end 2025 CoD
Glad to see someone else who remembered the lay offs but you might of forgot to mention that the studio that was swapped in to support MW3: Zombies in place of Treyarch was one of the studios that got hit really hard by the layoffs. I can't remember which studio took over but if my memories function they lost between 25-40% of their staff i think a few weeks before the handover news. Edit: I could of sworn it was one of the minor Actision studios that took over but I am having trouble finding who did besides people saying it was handed over to Sledgehammer...
A small comment on the small tidbit of Ava dialogue you pointed out in the Act 2 cutscene: The first half of her dialogue seems like someone trying to parse through their own thoughts, but Treyarch didn't want to add any um's or uh's, because, while it humanizes a character, it doesn't entirely make for good writing, as it doesn't entirely flow well. This argument does fall apart when Selma interrupts, however, because holy crap is that direction god awful on Treyarch's part.
I played the game back in December when it was free for the weekend. And I had some fun, (mainly because I was on pc) so I bought, only to then see a week later that they will stop supporting it. I felt scammed. But since I didn’t play MW2 and MW3, I had so many weapons to try out. I always try to look at the positives. But this game just…..disappointing.
@@Stanley557Thank you, I was listening to it while doing stuff on my phone and I heard “THE MIMICCC” and it made me laugh really hard, it took me off guard, also the 25+ times I also heard it are still really funny, should do it in every video lol
The strangest part about the entire MWZ cycle was the day after S5 reloaded dropped. The tonal shift in how matches are played and more the shift of the playerbase that's left playing now is so different from the rest of the game's life cycle. Before every game had the entire lobby in T3 and now T3 is a ghost town. T3 has been consistently empty ever since S5R now and its so strange. There's never been any other instance in another title where we see such a drastic shift in how a match plays out. Now I basically have the triangles to myself instead of having to rush into T3 at the start of a match even with portal knowledge and still not be fast enough because 3 scorchers would still beat me there. Easily set myself up for the next match with 2 crystals & tools still leaving the bulk of the game to grind out the mastery calling card challenges without needing to worry about loot for next match.
Are we even playing the same game??? Istg nearly every game I’ve had for the past week or so had like almost the ENTIRE lobby fighting to the death for contracts in tier 3 though that might be because BO6 is right around the corner.
I'm glad you could see the good within mwz alongside the bad rather than just domming on the game mode like Mr. Waffle would do all because it's not round base and BO3. I'm happy to see that you could be positive with mwz.
The deeper parts of MWZ just feel ungodly complex for something that was supposedly geared towards casuals. I personally dont really care because it gives the hardcore players more to do but the setup just for good items and stuff will never feel worth it and is why I am just havent fully gotten into the mode. I could spend a day of my time doing stuff and feel I've progressed so little in MWZ and its so demoralizing especially when you lose stuff. And solo play feels actively discouraged for once.
Great review Stanley, to me this game had so much potential especially during the launch but as time went on it was clear that the mode was abandoned and the reuse of Warzone assists was a little disappointing but I’m looking forward to BO6 zombies it looks so good
Of course, I've only just started watching the video, but I'll put my 5 cents in on this topic: MWZ - despite the fact that it's a generally undercooked game, it's the best social experiment within COD, even surpassing DMZ.
I think my issue with MWZ from an Extraction Shooter fan perspective is that the game feels like it's trying to be an Extraction Shooter without the substance of an Extraction Shooter. Which is most likely due to Treyarch suddenly being told to make a Zombies mode for this game, so they quickly combined Outbreak with DMZ which was an Extraction Shooter. I really like MWZ at launch but as time has gone on it has gotten incredibly stale, I just don't feel like there's anything to do, I don't have any real reason to replay any of the content because it just isn't engaging.
item sharing in this game is the best. shout out to spawn for giving me a bunch of cool stuff like scorcher schematics in the game. you will never be forgotten.
Hiiii Stanley!! God Bless You!! Greetings from Venezuela!! Just Completed Gorod Krovi on Base Gubblegums! Shadows Of Evil, Revelations and Moon to go! Ive missed your streams!
After purchasing this for 70 dollars, been playing and having a good time when the game works, the flaws this game has shows themselves VERY clearly. It pains me too cause in concept its a cool idea but in execution became abandoned now by the devs. I was nearing the completion of act 3 but since this review and how you described things in this mode (and point out complaints even I had), I've personally seen enough and played enough of what this game has to offer. Do I hate it? No I don't. What pushes me away? The internet connection issues (seriously how are servers this unstable?) and losing all your gear to things beyond your control. I wanted this game mode to be good and it had everything ready for it to be good but really felt like it flopped hard. I'll happily wait for Black ops 6 to see what Treyarch puts on the table in terms of zombies content, but until then I'll stick with WaW-BO4 zombies, and IW zombies for my zombie slaying needs. Just a shame that this mode was abandoned.
I hope we see mwz again. Of all the alternate zombie modes other than round based I believe it's the one that has the most potential. I've played zombies since nacht and will always be a round based player first but I have to say mwz felt like it had just enough of zombies while being different enough at the same time. There always feels like you can head towards something. Weapons feel really satisfying I just wish they kept at it and really expanded the mode. This is what outbreak should be
I will say MWZ did try some ideas and although a lot of them fell flat. However they did my boy the VR-11 Justice and Made it Great Again! Shame we’ve YET to get the Scavenger again 🤨.
Your videos are awesome. They feel so original and casual but very in-depth. Had to subscribe and like. Also, I love MWZ despite its flaws. I can't see myself stop playing anytime soon. The mechic is so refreshing, especially for people who are interested in DMZ, but find it frustrating getting kid by sweaty squad in the first 3 minutes of a match. Hope one day we get a new map and it comes back. But yea the story was mediocre.
They said more people played outbreak than round based but mwz had one of the least active player bases second only to vanguard, i feel like activision lie about player statistics. Also this might be a hot take but i think mwz wouldve actually been better if it was extinction instead. The cryptids mobility compliments the open world design much more than shambling zombies and the worm bosses feel like theyre straight out of extinction already. I can see the contracts system totally replacing extinctions challenge system to level up and get skill points and itd be cool to go around the map destroying hives.
Even though the mode got the bare minimum support, I still really enjoy it for what it is. I said to my friends at the start of the year, if the game never got an update I'd be ok with that just because of how much I love it at the core. Sure it sucks that it didn't get much support, but I'm just so glad it exists in the first place. This mode gave me exactly what I wanted back in mw2019 when the spec ops was advertised as giant missions in an open world type environment. It's not for everybody, but I love this mode and I'm gonna continue playing it alongside old and new round based maps
Absolutely amazing work of a video! Its pretty refreshing to see more videos with actual and fair criticisms! Can't wait to see more. (Blink twice if Rizzo held you at gun point to put "THE MIMIC" sound effect everytime it was seen. Ngl it was low-key very distracting from watching the video and would have been better without it)
@@Stanley557 we could hear it just fine. But it doesn't make the video any worse in the slightest though! It is still very comprehensible and very nice to watch. So stand proud, you can cook
Honestly the game mode wasn't the worst I had fun doing the camo grind. my only issue was the constant disconnections I suffered from which killed me more than zombies ever did.
I was so engrossed in the gameplay when it first came out (aside from armor). The feeling of grinding for new gear, schematics and perks was unmatched. But after the first aether rift which was awesome, the game got boring, and not only boring but pointless. The main hook was taken away from me with no new content and instead of balancing tier 3 and adding things to do, they just add new rifts with useless rewards. I would have loved if they added new contracts, EEs, POIs, and bosses.
For me the worst part is look at how much DMZ did in conparison. They added in multiple new maps and enemy factions, they added in new mechanics with lore integration giving growth to both the world and the gameplay options. They added in special contracts that were exclusive to specific maps and even had seasonwide events (like when we teamed up with Shadow company in season 5). I understand Treyarch had their own title to uphold but it felt they did the bare minimum of support and plot (heck we have no closure on Zakhaev or Fletcher still) with granted some fun mechanics but nothing else of note. Even the rewards are barebones minus the two dark Aether rewards, wheras dmz had constant refreshes. I love MWZ it was a mode that was just fun and a good socializing mechanic but man. It could’ve been so much more had they taken influence from the title prior. Like seriously junk items, they serve no purpose past the initial runs, why not bring back barter and weapon stations, give bartering away of junk items for supplies like Aether tools or upgrades. Would’ve made the actual looting loop way better for death then the incredibly unfun and punishing experience of a crash. Honestly I really enjoy the mercs I just wish they were balanced a bit better, it’s what I wanted out of the whole Omega vs Requeim in Cold War with it feeling like a push and pull between both sides. It gives it something we’ve never had before and working with/against the mercs makes for some incredible moments. They just really sucked Balance wise (since I think they were taken from pre nerf DMZ where they reduced their weapon damage by wanna say around 25% and accuracy as well) As well I wish Urzikstan for MWZ received map updates like the actual Warzone map. I just don’t understand why it hasn’t gotten any map changes when it should be sharing the same locations right? And why not bring back Al Mazrah man.. so much missed opportunity but it’s still a fun mode
I played a hand full of bo1 kino back in 2010 with friends from highschool. It was hard and overwhelming. Lost interest very fast twelve years later I saw the add for mwz after playing last of us and thought it was going to be a smash. It started off so good for me. It was eerie and exciting. It felt like I was fighting for my life in tier one for the first few weeks. Then I started learning the power curve and once I got all the good guns unlocked and leveled I was playing in tier 3 with my eyes closed. I wish they had kept up with the life span of the game and gave it the love it deserves. It was fun. Now it’s bland. Hope bo6 is better
Honestly I thought this mode could be fun. I had a good amount of enjoyment as someone who was typically a high rounds enjoyer. I do wish that mercenaries were easier to kill. Seeing support be pulled is disappointing but not surprising. To me there was no way this was the future of zombies so I wasn't really turned off. To me Treyarch games would get the proper Zombies. MW in general promotes the loose tacticool feel so to me MWZ felt like a good fit.
They should have done the resource route. You collect resources to build the schematics instead of 72 hr wait time or 2-3 days cool time. And when you run low on resources then start farming for them. Those useless parts, white, green, blue, purple and brown resources would be good material for crafting schematics but without the wait time or it would just defeat the purpose like warframe.
Everyone calling zombie fans toxic for being critical of liberty balls doesn’t understand that when Activision caters to warzone fans, the result is the fate of MWZ.

I'd say out of everything in this video, I respect your dedication of adding "THE MIMIC" anytime a mimic appears or attacks you.
Of course I see this just as the first Mimic pops up in the video.
I do blame them
Executives don't know crap about game development, this IS TREYARCHS FAULT TOO
Sick of people just talking the publisher when they want what we want, a good product that will make money
Than they setup/launched and supported for about what 3-5months on MW3: Zombies.
i love it how you play THE MIMIC!!!! sound everytime when a Mimic is on the screen I just love it
great video stanley, thankful for someone able to put this much thought and love in zombies and keep it entertaining! hope to see the BO4 super review soon!
The part I hated the most is showing that the cold war cast dies in the future. No happy ending, no victory, no saving the universe, nothing.
It’s the only way to move forward for these beings that get involved with the aether
Look at the keepers, Monty, primis, ultimis, victus,
And now samantha likely Richthofen again, all of requiem
The bad guys always lose but it costs the good guys everything
And it’s not looking too good for ravenov and ava either
I bought this game for mwz a few days ago when it went on sale and im loving it. Wish they kept supporting it, I hope to see this expanded upon in a future title. Cant wait to get my hands on bo6.

I stg Stanly ALWAYS comes in clutch with these long form videos to listen too while at work lol I still remember the WW2 zombies vid lol
And yet people are dumb enough to fall for their BS yet again with BO6
They add a new movement system and suddenly the game is fixed and amazing, zero standards from the average cod player and why the franchise is in the toilet
You didn't pay 60 for this you later 70
MW3 is a 70 game not a 60, and it's the worst CoD so far with the lowest amount of content

Great video!

this isnt super related to the video at large but, i discovered you on twitter a few weeks ago and you showed up on my feed slowly more and more with zombies related things and brought such a fun and refreshing take to see on everything when all i had ever seen in discussion with the mode for year it seemed at that point was solely negativity. i'm really glad to have discovered your channel and see such a refreshing take on everything to do zombies related and have genuinely good insight and thought into everything and feel like just "oh x thing is bad". your videos are fantastic and so clearly have so much love and talent behind them. excited to see anything and everything you put out content wise for this upcoming year. o7
1:44:55 the sped up "the MIMIC" got so hard dude
THE MIMIC! anyway another great video stan i might give another chance to the mode while waiting for bo6, the last time i played it was during preseason
It wasn't
It sucked and was designed to waste your time with riding the flying vehicles to the top
Then they reused the bossfight for a "sEcReT" bossfight for another useless blueprint and weapon skin that is weapon exclusive so it's not even worth doing
Plus all of this can be done solo, I've beat Greylorm solo with him having 3 player health
@@THEBUGSAREBACCCCKKKKKKKKKK Good to know. Glad I didn't waste my time!
They need to find a way to incorporate schematics into BO6 round based zombies and why is someone constantly screaming “THE MIMIC”
It plays whenever a mimic shows because it's the mimic 😉
God no don't give them even worse ideas
Schematics need to be canned so they can't nerf the drop rates and waste so much of our time to make us play more of their mediocre poorly made crap
Oh hell yes, Fire Emblem music in Zombies content.
Absolutely fucking goated as usual, Stanley.
@DickieCheezits thank you I hope you enjoy all the Enage music 🫠
An excellent review! MWZ is very difficult to encapsulate in a single video but I think you did it well
It’s really upsetting that zombies keeps getting abandoned.
Been waiting for this after not keeping up with the game. Thank you!
I need a sound bite for THE MIMIC🗣️‼️
Also excellent video you and I basically share the same thoughts and opinions on what went well and what went wrong this was definitely a great project at first but then got left in the dust due to SHG not being a very capable studio (sorry advanced warfare fans i promise im one of you) and pressures from Activision and Microsoft plus treyarch being pulled between their own project and this.
The setup to get there looks so boring that I'll never bother to do it
It's just T2 with super sprinters and bullet sponge zombies
Oh and the constant fighting over contracts which will cause issues as the devs were so dumb they didnt think 15 people in T3 and 4 contracts was a bad idea
Always said this, MWZ is a great mode, hurt by a huge lack of support and updates, this had so much more potential
I didn't even consider the layoffs that's such a good point
Glad to see someone else who remembered the lay offs but you might of forgot to mention that the studio that was swapped in to support MW3: Zombies in place of Treyarch was one of the studios that got hit really hard by the layoffs. I can't remember which studio took over but if my memories function they lost between 25-40% of their staff i think a few weeks before the handover news.
Edit: I could of sworn it was one of the minor Actision studios that took over but I am having trouble finding who did besides people saying it was handed over to Sledgehammer...
Yaaaay new review \o/ If only this mode had more content and no/ or longer timer :(
Thank you Stanley without you I would be nothing
Thank you for another banger of a video, Stanislav 557
A small comment on the small tidbit of Ava dialogue you pointed out in the Act 2 cutscene: The first half of her dialogue seems like someone trying to parse through their own thoughts, but Treyarch didn't want to add any um's or uh's, because, while it humanizes a character, it doesn't entirely make for good writing, as it doesn't entirely flow well.
This argument does fall apart when Selma interrupts, however, because holy crap is that direction god awful on Treyarch's part.

My favorite thing about this video is the constant sound of THE MIMIC!
The MIMIC
The amount of times I have heard the mimic in this video is funny af 😂.
@TheLucarioProject yeah I noticed that too. Once people were done they just dipped so all that's left is people trying to get to that point
Are we even playing the same game??? Istg nearly every game I’ve had for the past week or so had like almost the ENTIRE lobby fighting to the death for contracts in tier 3 though that might be because BO6 is right around the corner.
Every time I heard "THE MIMIIIIC" I just thought of the meme I can't 😭😭
Great review Stanley, to me this game had so much potential especially during the launch but as time went on it was clear that the mode was abandoned and the reuse of Warzone assists was a little disappointing but I’m looking forward to BO6 zombies it looks so good
Of course, I've only just started watching the video, but I'll put my 5 cents in on this topic:
MWZ - despite the fact that it's a generally undercooked game, it's the best social experiment within COD, even surpassing DMZ.
I agree. I loved dmz and I love zombies. The two modes don't mesh at all.
Mad lad here (M& M name changed) I appreciate the shout out. After season 6 update the sniper has been nerfed. RIP 🪦

That actually sounds like it would’ve great idea! It sucks that the cryptids didn’t die with dignity thanks to beat from beyond

They just really sucked Balance wise (since I think they were taken from pre nerf DMZ where they reduced their weapon damage by wanna say around 25% and accuracy as well)
As well I wish Urzikstan for MWZ received map updates like the actual Warzone map.
Just what I needed to get me through the start of a long work week
As a big round based enjoyer I didn’t mind mwz too much it was good but needed some improvements

26:59 - lol, 6 self-revives. We all definitely needed all of this at the game's release.
This is exactly what they did with MW19 spec-ops, once it was season 2 I knew it was gonna end up the same.
The first season of MWZ was incredible but the dropoff was stupifying!
Watching this while chilling in the jacuzzi after a long gaming sesh.
Imagine the $ they could make with a good zombies game.
Everyone calling zombie fans toxic for being critical of liberty balls doesn’t understand that when Activision caters to warzone fans, the result is the fate of MWZ.
