F.e. like Genestealer Cult is theoretically part of the Tyranids, they are also theoretically part of the Astra Militarum but are their own faction with their own codex? Kind regards in advance and thank you for the video(s)!!
I think the price will be higher, and many in the community have converted their own guys cavalry or engineers. So many great hobbyists on IG have done fantastic work. The artillery cool but I really wish the Macharius had made its plastic debut. Anyone know the base size of the artillery?
The only way I see artilery being "balanced" and not overpowered, is if you restrict its use to turn 2 and onward, a bit like how flyers are restricted from coming in from reserves on T1.
So three boxes would be 30 ponies, 15 Engineers, 3 big guns and the 'HQ' guy and two bodies to chop up and bash into different leaders. I have always wanted DKoK for my Inquisition. As if Coteaz had been promised a percent of their bodies as thanks for helping them in some way. I wonder how it will work with the newish Field Ordnance (?) unit. Will it be able to have their DKoK army marker? Or is all that just Cadian with those odd 'troop' choices from the now dead regimental worlds.
I am disappointed to see there is no heavy wrapons team in the box. I recall seeing it in their trailer video for the box, so I'm not sure whats up with that?
I am getting this box, and I need to figure out how to fill out the rest of my 1000 points. I have never liked Cadians, so I will likely go with 3D printed dudes and Solar Auxillia vehicles.
Huge Krieg fan here, but this box doesn't fo it for me. I have 60 plastic boys already and a lot of FW artillery and other minis. I don't like the new gun platforms compared to the other FW ones. So much more flavore in the older models too
Sorry if its obvious - but is it one entry in total or one entry pr method? If we both sub to patreon and complete the SoMe entry, do we get two or one entry?
I keep hoping thag GE would do a upgrade kit for infranty guardsmen and be able to deess them up as other fan favorite regiments like the First and Only or Vahallnes. I am really hoping the lord comissar can be run solo so i cam kitbash one to be Cain
I think your points are probably pretty good but without points the only thing that determines if it’s a good deal or not is if you think it’s cool. And it’s pretty cool
Like the Krieg miniatures but in my eyes they don’t fit to the Cadians design wise. I wonder if GW, will release additional miniatures for Krieg or if they will do stick with Cadia.
Just curious what happened to the plastic DKoK infantry squad/veteran squad boxes you could get? I assume they ended it as a DKoK infantry squads planned for release? I also hope for a return to ye olde days where you got a lot more unique rules playing DKoK. (been out the loop for a long while)
I'm not sure about artillery point cost. Heavy mortar and heavy quad launcher costs 50 points for model. 120 is way to high. But this is just my opinion.
The field ordinance battery is 120 points for artillery on a smaller base size (and thus should be weaker) 100mm round vs 130mm round, 1.7 times more base area.
Im very 50/50 on this. Its very costly and yes the models are very nice, but cards are pointless, and not sure all the Cavalry were the best choice, more infantry would have been better
What's up with GW and cavalry. First, the new Guard Combat Patrole, and now the Death Korps. Don't get me wrong, Death Riders are a great addition to the Death Korps theme, but why are they doubling down with the standard Guard Combat Patrole? Having different Guard playstyles depending on your regiment doesn't sound so bad, and you can always mix them
Like the Krieg look, but I don't want cavalry in my army, so this is a pass. I'll wait to get the engineers and artillery later, to go with some tanks.
My new army list: Drier Solar 3x10 death riders 3x10 rough riders 3x heavy artillery pieces 3x defense line Krieg command squad As manny combat engineers as I can squeeze in
I wound up eating my words when the 9th Edition box came out. I really liked the new Cadian sculpts and decided to go all in and get two sets. This one.... yeah, pass. I'm happy for the few Death Corps guys who can now get a decent number of models at a fraction of the cost of Forge World kits (YIKES!!!!), but for me, I'll skip. I just don't see any selling points in this set for me. Cavalry models? Pass. A new artillery piece? Nice, but yeah, pass (my self-propelled guns are just fine). The combat engineer squad? Very interesting, but not so much that I'd fork out this kind of money to get it, so pass. The scary leader? Meh... pass. The Codex? No hurry there. Data cards? Meh. I'm happy for the Death Corps guys, but as a Cadian player, this really isn't for me.
Sadly when it comes to this particular release GW could triple the price, release a statement that reads, “Go fuck yourselves and pay up”, and they would still sellout on the presale. Im so starved for a truly grimdark wargame that is totally on a secular setting and themes.
Any guard player from 9th will be having panic attack inducing flashbacks while buying this box set as they remember the measly amount of times they even opened the special edition codex that came in the Cadia Stands box.
I'm pretty disappointed by this box compared to Cadia Stands. I understand people love the Krieg Death Riders but having practically no infantry in a Kreig box is wild.
GW prices are insane. Their products are so high margin that they're actually in a very precarious place, especially now the people are having a hard time buying basic stuff. I feel like they're in for a huge wake up. Call soon
Even if you accept the price per plastic of the boxes, the amount of army for dollar here is absolutely terrible. The Custodes boxes have similar numbers of models but instantly build a 1000 point army without any conversions or kitbashes. This box appears to have fewer points worth of army than the Deathwatch Combat Patrol, which would currently amount to only 385 points of Space Marines but as a Combat Patrol would currently be over $90 cheaper than this Battleforce without any discounts.
@@thecactusman17they're not selling us models based on cost in game, it's on plastic and manufacturing costs. Why do so many of you think you should be able to get 2,000 points of every army for the same price?

The artillery cool but I really wish the Macharius had made its plastic debut. Anyone know the base size of the artillery?
They said the artillery is a 130mm round base. So a fair bit bigger than the 100mm field ordnance battery.
I would get the army set, but I'm not really interested in the horses .. nice sculpts but I prefer regular troops on foot with transports and stuff
I need the Grenadiers to come out at some point in the future
I am disappointed to see there is no heavy wrapons team in the box. I recall seeing it in their trailer video for the box, so I'm not sure whats up with that?
*"Stormtroopers" by Sabaton intensifies.*
The voices are back!
I would like the idea of the kreig box to use for a renegade guard army but not at that price, even if I could get it for a discount.
So much more flavore in the older models too
It’s definitely gonna be a popular box? Kriegsman are so awesome?
The killteam box will be to get standard infantry yes?
They already are.
@@GoingRampant92yes but they are set to retire within one year
No standard Krieg Infantry? Brrooooo c'mon
Sorry if its obvious - but is it one entry in total or one entry pr method?
If we both sub to patreon and complete the SoMe entry, do we get two or one entry?
I don’t think it matters at all what the value of the box is because it’s all new models for krieg. It’ll be insanely popular
I am going to pick up at least one, maybe two if I can
I keep hoping thag GE would do a upgrade kit for infranty guardsmen and be able to deess them up as other fan favorite regiments like the First and Only or Vahallnes. I am really hoping the lord comissar can be run solo so i cam kitbash one to be Cain
I think your points are probably pretty good but without points the only thing that determines if it’s a good deal or not is if you think it’s cool.
And it’s pretty cool
I mean, Ill be getting it at the price that stores get it for so I will definitely be picking it up
I like the new DKoK, but this set is too cavalry heavy for me. I will wait for the new codex and expand my Krieg force the old way...
Like the Krieg miniatures but in my eyes they don’t fit to the Cadians design wise. I wonder if GW, will release additional miniatures for Krieg or if they will do stick with Cadia.
Fix bayonets, got to have one of these, waited a long time
Will this have pre-order? Otherwise splendid coverage as always Auspex :)
Just curious what happened to the plastic DKoK infantry squad/veteran squad boxes you could get? I assume they ended it as a DKoK infantry squads planned for release? I also hope for a return to ye olde days where you got a lot more unique rules playing DKoK. (been out the loop for a long while)
Best guess is that the Kill Team kit is getting re-boxed for 40k, probably without the KT specific sprue.
I absolutely love what we got... I just needed to see a tank
There should have been a krieg infantry in that box. They are really expensive for 40k because they are a kill team.
Between them, lord solar and the rough riders I want to see someone field a list that's just full horsies
Krieg corp are using a grain weevil robot in the combat engineers
Time to 3d print this kit
Nooo I just started my Grey Knights! Damn you GW, DAMN YOU!
The GK are gonna be completely overhauled next year (primaris sized)
Im very 50/50 on this. Its very costly and yes the models are very nice, but cards are pointless, and not sure all the Cavalry were the best choice, more infantry would have been better
What's up with GW and cavalry. First, the new Guard Combat Patrole, and now the Death Korps. Don't get me wrong, Death Riders are a great addition to the Death Korps theme, but why are they doubling down with the standard Guard Combat Patrole? Having different Guard playstyles depending on your regiment doesn't sound so bad, and you can always mix them
Adition to the deathkorps theme? Death riders were introduced in like 2007.this just shifts them to plastic
Like the Krieg look, but I don't want cavalry in my army, so this is a pass. I'll wait to get the engineers and artillery later, to go with some tanks.
My new army list:
Drier
Solar
3x10 death riders
3x10 rough riders
3x heavy artillery pieces
3x defense line
Krieg command squad
As manny combat engineers as I can squeeze in
👹🔥👄🔥
Not keen on cavalry units, so I’ll not get the box, couple of engineer units & the codex is all I want from the release
Yayyyy!! we have Audio!!!!
Any guard player from 9th will be having panic attack inducing flashbacks while buying this box set as they remember the measly amount of times they even opened the special edition codex that came in the Cadia Stands box.
Very skimpy for the Krieg Army starter box. Ridiculous IMO.
No interest in the cavalry, might see it I can traded it to someone who wants it for the artillery or HWTs
"That only took 20.. fucking.. years.." - Deadpool
So what happened to the death korps command that was supposed to be in there box
Was never in the box. Command and heavy weapons squads available seperate
the command squad shown was seperate from the box, so will likely release with the normal codex
The Video without Sound was Way more krieg like... Deadly silent Krieg Warriors.
My Concern is: That GW will not bring back the Krieg Kill Team.
So i want have a normal Krieg Infanterie Squad.....
I only miss a new tank or vehicle ,like Ragnarok or forge world ones it would be 11/10
I may be alone in this but I wanted centaur chassis
I'm pretty disappointed by this box compared to Cadia Stands. I understand people love the Krieg Death Riders but having practically no infantry in a Kreig box is wild.
I want this one really badly but i feel like it would be sold out instantly everywhere
GW prices are insane. Their products are so high margin that they're actually in a very precarious place, especially now the people are having a hard time buying basic stuff. I feel like they're in for a huge wake up. Call soon
I mean, their profits are through the roof. People actually seem to be buying more and more.
People have been writing these comments for like 20 years already. Just be glad you don’t collect Lego too….
@@staticgrass RIP my wallet lmao.
