Great demo... Thank You for the plain, straight language intros.
I feel clearer about buying one if not both of these.

Does the dd8 offer a Direct Out (dry only) setting.

Which mode in DD-8 that is equivalent to 800ms that is in DD-3?

Seriously, for a simple stompbox delay, the DD-3T is the business! The tap-tempo makes it super usable.

Agreed. My mind has been made up as well.

Gotta share my delay tone search story: Bought a tape delay because all my heroes had one (in pedal form) it’s too dark, too much modulation, just not simple enough. So I buy a flashback 2, find I love the 2290 but TC Electronics lately has really dropped the ball on their apps and stuff for TonePrint so I’m done with them.
Dd3T is simple and is exactly what I need. Thank you

Just switch from DD2 to DD3T. Sounds almost the same. I dont use many type of delay so DD3T won my taste. 😊

i will try it, can you give me settings for something like Van Halen ain't Talking about love?. I have this pedal but not sure about settings?

Van Halen uses an echoplex on that album. That’s a tape delay, I highly recommend the belle epoch for that sound. Also plate reverb is very important too for Eddie’s tone

The MXR Echoplex pedal can nail those EVH tape delay tones

Really what's the deal with DD3T? Why shouldn't one just get the DD8 and what is that DD3T has that DD8 doesn't?

Good question. The old dd3 (without tap) was my first pedal (because of the band dredg, i guess). Have mine now for around 15 years and compared it to the dd7 and also against the digital mode in the dd20. And i can tell you sound and feel on the dd3 is muuuuch better in my ears. Compared a week ago my 3 with the 3t of a friend. They sound pretty close, the 3t seems to have a bit more of low end in the delays, whats a good thing. So the 3s are simple but great!

Does the DD8 offer a Direct Out (bypassed dry signal) like the DD3T?

DD-3T's mode knobs can easily switch between quarter/dotted 8th. Can be really important. Easier to tap tempo and for the song and turn it to dotted eights while trying to do so.

    Hi there!
My problem with the dd-8 seems to be finding my way of setting and changing subdivisions WITH MY FOOT... So I need to know :
=> if i can use the external Footswitch, to tab in a subdivision (e.g. dotted 8th)?
=> can i do this while i play, without holding for 2 sec first?
=> can i, by this method, change subdivisions, while playing, by just physically tabbing in their different rythmical signatures (e.g. the "1-2-123" or alternatively the "1-2-3-4-1-234" for the dotted 8th...) at any time? Like, just how Antoine shows it here, @ 01:40m: th-cam.com/video/X6483Aq8nfQ/w-d-xo.html
I would be grateful for a an informed answer from someone who actually did this...
    thanxalot^^

With the footswitch you can access tap tempo anytime. Set the dd8 to quarter notes and just tap in the subdivision based on the tempo of your 4 count.
