Went in to buy the BB pro, walked out with the BB GMT. Just something about the GMT that makes it extra special. In the year that I've had it, its seen all kinds of action from rugged hikes, swims/dives, air travel and so forth! really a hardy watch and keeps excellent time (+0.25/day)

I dig the styling since it harks back to the early day GMTs when pan am pilots rocked them…styling w bang for your buck it’s a no brainer…to each their own. Cheers!

Great review. I went to try the GMT and the pro both on stainless bracelets yesterday. I found the both watches to be very comfortable and not at all too big or heavy for my just under 7inch wrist. I went with the pro eventually as I realised the reason I don’t own a watch with a Pepsi bezel is because I don’t like them 😂 So after the staff plied my wife and myself with champagne for an hour while I made my decision 😝 I left the shop with a pro on my wrist. I absolutely love the watch I personally think it’s very classy yet understated a real tool watch that can be worn all day everyday for any occasion. I don’t think it’s too thick, in fact my wife could get away with wearing the pro and her wrists are tiny little 5 inch wrists. The only things I wish was different about the watch is the bloody price! People shouldn’t be put off these watch’s just try them on your wrist. They wear beautifully.
Had a BB GMT for a while - good proportions and did not feel overly thick on my 6.75 inch wrist. Sold it, as it felt like a discount Rolex Pepsi, but aesthetically not as appealing. The BB pro is a great enthusiast watch, and Rolex is unlikely to ever do a similar reissue. No role in my personal collection, but I'm glad it exists.
Always enjoy your videos. They’re honest. They’re factual. They’re funny. Now, I’ve owned (and worn for years) three of the four watches shown in this video. The one I haven’t owned (or worn) is the BB Pro 39mm. I sold my Rolex Explorer II and my Rolex GMT II Batman, and went with the Tudor GMT. I was tempted by the BB Pro when it cam out, but passed. Here’s why: I am a professional time zone changer (I’m an airline pilot), and so I find a real use for these “traveler” GMT movements, but I have found that I prefer (a lot) having the rotating bezel. The rotating bezel helps you quickly look at other time zones, and if you can’t remember which time zone you’ve set the local hour hand to, then you just rotate the bezel pip back to 12, see what time UTC/GMT/Zulu time is, and then recalculate for the time zone you want shown on the main dial (local hour hand). I’m telling you; when fly all around the world, crossing zone after zone and the International Date Line, and you can’t remember whether the Sun is up or down, the rotating bezel make A LOT of difference. Oh, and why the Tudor GMT over the Rolex GMT? Price, theft issues, prefer old school looks of the aluminum bezel. I did remove the Tudor bracelet, and wear the Tudor GMT on the Crown & Buckle Chevron NATO (single pass and adjustable length). Phew! That was a lot of typing.
I've owned the GMT for a little over a year and love it. I didn't like the bracelet that it came with, felt chunky/not much of a taper and I couldn't get the right fit because the bracelet doesn't allow for much adjustment.. Got a Forstner Model O which fits it perfectly, has great taper and the bracelet has a stretch link and also way more holes in it for more smaller adjustments. I got to try the Pro when it came out and while it's a nice watch, it didn't sing to me. I love the color on the GMT bezel and would choose it over the Pro, if I want purchasing now. Great review!
I know exactly what you mean! I couldn’t get a good fit with my BB58. I even got an Uncle Seiko half-link! The scissor arms are too long, & the link meeting the clasp on the 6-o’clock side doesn’t articulate much. The clasp length is effectively over 50mm! I’ve got my BB58 on the Forstner “O”, and while the quality isn’t as good as the Tudor bracelet, the fit is much better!
@@chriscon8463 I agree, quality isn't the same but the fit is perfect and I'll take that. I've also just tried their Model J the Jubilee and it's a nice fit as well. I grabbed it so I can get a different look every now and then.
Dude, keep up the awesome work, I watch almost every reviewer on TH-cam and you have become #1 in my book, which is the only one that matters.....probably
I have both and love them both. Definitely different enough to have room in any collection. I really did t want to like the Pro. Too small, too thick. Fixed bezel. Tried it on once and it was over. Found a used/unworn example and it was a no brained. Boom. Done.
I’m biased as a GMT owner but for me it’s so underrated (pre-owned price). I’ve owned since 2019, had the date issue early on but local AD were great and got it sorted and no issues since. Wear it nearly everyday over my 124270 & BB Harrods.
I bought the Tudor GMT about 15 months ago and it’s been fantastic. Very comfortable and accurate , just enjoyable to wear. In recent weeks I bought a Rolex Submariner no date 2022 release and it’s beautiful and a bit slimmer by comparison and very comfortable also. I have to say that the first thing I felt , having never actually trying on the submariner before purchase, was just how good the Tudor is by comparison considering the large price discrepancy. It’s beautifully made and feels like a luxury item. Don’t be out off by the faux rivets on the bracelet of the GMT. The wearer can’t see them in use .
Very well written script. kudos !! I ended up getting a BB GMT primarily because I like the colors. And as a bouns, got special treatment in a few establishments as the door people thought I was wearing an older Rolex. Im not complaining....

If you thinks it’s too big for you I urge you to go and try one on, that’ll convince you to go for it.
I love Tudor and tell anyone that asks for advice on a first (and maybe only) watch to get one. In fact, my girlfriend bought the BB36 because of it. That said, for myself I just waited a year and used the extra time to save up for my Rolex Polar Explorer II instead.
I like the slimmer GMT hand of the BBGMT. It makes the dial look cleaner. The BBPro’s dial is more cluttered to me, as the GMT hand is almost as big as the hour hand.
Thank you for the review. I’m surprised that no one mentioned the bezel clicking on the GMT. I own G&S version of GMT. The brushed gold, the rivets, the clicking bezel, the heft and thickness, all that makes my Tudor GMT G&S so perfect. If you don’t mind, please review that watch.
I think you nailed it by saying a collection could have both! I bought the GMT 3 years ago and still love it. Fantastic quality movement, clicks of the bezel, and overall just a beast. The bracelet could be better. I often use third-party bracelets or natos. Tudor’s new “T-fit” bracelet really is spectacular after having tried it on a new Pelagos. It is a thick watch. But I think the case beveling helps, I’ve never felt it awkward even when wearing long sleeve shirts.
I like the box analogy. I’m pretty hooked on the pro, however I tried on the Longines GMT you recently reviewed and can really see myself buying that one. (My wrist is the same size as yours)
As owner of a gmt I like it the most than a pro ,to me the pro is a rough watch compared to the more refined GMT even if big and heavy on my wrist compared to a Rolex… performance are stunning. Great video!
I was this close to buying the steel and gold version of the BBGMT. 6.5" wrists and it was fine. I used to get hung up watch sizing until I started trying on everything that even remotely interested me. 44mm Speedmaster Racing? Loved it. A watch is more than its measurements.
Both watches are absolutely beautiful! It just depends on which bezel you like better. I received the BBGMT "Pepsi" as a gift and I love it, but That GMTPro looks seriously GOOD. I might buy one for my son just so he can experience one of these great Tudor GMTs but we don't have the exact same watch. The best part is I can actuall do that with Tudor.....no way I can walk into a Rolex AD and say , "Yeah.....let me have a GMT Master II and while your back there, grab an Explorer II to go with it!"
I've had the BB GMT for about a year now and love it. I can wear it like a beater unlike IF I had the Rolex GMT. The BB Pro doesn't do anything for me.

However, if you are buying one of these with the intent to assuage an inability (either economical or market driven) to purchase a long sought after GMT Master II or Exp II....don't. Keep saving and/or keep waiting. These Tudors are not calamine lotion, they won't make an itch go away.
I like all sorts of GMTs, I enjoyed your great video and monologue as usual. Thank you! I know it's a discontinued piece, but since you mentioned it, it would be great to hear, one day, your point on the cool, divisive and historical North Flag.
Has tudor fixed their QC? 5 years ago I had to return a north flag for QC issues, dust in the dial. Then I considered a black bay, again dust in dial. I looked at a pelagos, hour markers misaligned. I ended up with a Seamaster, which I still love.
Came across your channel after binging on 114270 videos to feel better about getting on on the secondary market and subbed. Love the cinematography, quality of video and production, and above all the dry humor. Looking forward to more content! Also I prefer the BBPro, I do enjoy how it hearkens back to the old 1655, as opposed to the GMT which kind of just looks like a Black Bay with GMT and a Pepsi bezel. But you are right, the GMT feels better proportioned than the Pro by virtue of its size. Being the smaller diameter of the two, the Pro just feels even chonkier with that 15mm thiccccness (that's 4 c's). Despite that I'd still probably go for the Pro, I just like how it looks more and I can bear with the weight/size.
Great releases by Tudor. I remember when the GMT came out and it had its own in house movement it kind of took the watch community by storm. Personally I prefer the GMT however neither really fit me so give me that $4000 cheque

I have even had their rootbear gmt(sold that, too) . For me the Pepsi bezel just does it for me. The Heritage Pepsi GMT is a KFN(keeper for now).
Good review! I found the same when comparing both in a Tudor boutique: the GMT has the better proportions. It looks very good on a brown leather strap. Although they are all out of reach anyway, I prefer the aluminium bezel and its shade of blue and red to the ceramic colours of the Rolex. So ideally I would want a vintage Rolex GMT 😂
great video, crazy actually that now with this craze for integrated bracelets. The North flag would be a hit. These GMTs are great watches, wish the "pro" was a little bigger in diameter to the "GMT". I like the larger size.
Lol "he also had to take the money of the moderately comfortable" I love this subjective review. Tbh, none of these watches really checked off my boxes which is why I didnt go for either. I actually prefer affordable GMTs which is weird... oh well, my bank account balance thanks me for it.
the fixed bezel of the Pro makes it ''heavy duty'' . It would suit a mountaineer/hiker/explorer better . The Pepsi GMT feels more suitable for the traveler/pilot/captain which demand less rigitity
@@marshhancock81 congrats dude. Not everyone has that size of wrist. A 39mm watch is supposed to appeal to people with smaller wrists and clearly this one failed.
Is it just me, or was anyone else confused by the intro song. After thinking hard which watch videos I've heard it before I remembered. Andrew Morgan (AKA talking hands from Watchfinder) uses the same song on his private channel. Great video either way!
You, sir, were on fire on this one. The, you'll need a tool, like guys that only wear rolexs, got me. Tried on the 41 when it came out, the slab sides wear look and wear top heavy but love the pepsi. I guess rolex finally fixed the date wheel issue for Tudor?
Really threw me with that Andrew Morgan Watches intro music. It put me in mind of a powerfully erotic hybrid of the two best creators in the ‘disembodied hands handling timepieces’ genre of TH-cam videos.
I am a BS professional and vote for the Pro. Actually I have it and is a wonderful watch. Not so thick as people think or say. But again: I am a pro on youtube BS so who cares ;) Cool video- thx!
@@YoureTerrific got BBP meself, but I'll be keeping it on the bracelet for fear of its "top-heaviness" without it. Top-heaviness? Enthickened? Ah, whatever. Definitely glad to see the T-fit clasp on its bracelet.
The BB GMT definitely wears better, it is not top heavy as the Pro. The proportions are better, the longer case negated the thickness. But you need to have 7 inch plus wrist to wear the BB GMT.
You forget to give the mechanical part on the 24 hours .. external part. 41 mm gives you more possibilities than the small one which is good in a smaller dimension. It is not possible for travelers to have three true GMTs for the PRO but it has 41mm BB. You doesn't seem to have full insight technically. Today I have a BBSteel 41mm with included date, great Tudor. The new GMT would suit me very well and is what I want and in size and like my BB Steel. 41mm suits me fine but without three GMT "times" when traveling. It can only 41mm technically because you can turn the outer ring with the 24 hours, PRO doesn't fix it 💛. This is not something I am addressing to Tudor, but to you who have great insights that GMT watches have technical both at the level of the watch but also external technical solutions. Feel free to answer me if I'm wrong and that I couldn't get it in your otherwise pretty good 👍🏽 about the watches. Rolex has these two different GMT layouts as well.

great video, crazy actually that now with this craze for integrated bracelets. The North flag would be a hit. These GMTs are great watches, wish the "pro" was a little bigger in diameter to the "GMT". I like the larger size.
I like the pro, I have the BB58 and can use the T-Fit bracelet for both. Nice, cause i like the fit of the bracelet.
I love my gmt “Pepsi!” Much better than my breitling super ocean 42.. great quality!
Great comparison! I have 8.5” wrists and unfortunately, even I with large wrists find both the Tudor Pepsi & Pro wear too thick😢 Cheers
I'm really hoping for a black bay 58 sized GMT. That would be amazing
Can you please do a review on the spring bar tool shown at 3:09!!!
Just read this thing I wrote years ago: www.watchuseek.com/threads/bergeon-7825-vs-horofix-spring-bar-tweezers.4886449/
@@YoureTerrific Thanks Evan! I appreciate the reply, love the videos!
Great video as always. Thank you.
5:55: "It's all about the proportions, baby". Voiceover credit to…Butthead.
Lol "he also had to take the money of the moderately comfortable"
I love this subjective review.
I’ve a BB all steel that looks almost exactly the same as the pro minus the gmt.
I’d have the Pepsi all day.
How is it ok for a 39mm watch to be 15mm thick?
Preach brother
Truly baffling
they aren't really that thick, they're 12.7mm without the high domed crystal
Non-issue with a 7.5 in. Wrist. Extremely comfortable with the T-fit clasp.
@@marshhancock81 congrats dude. Not everyone has that size of wrist. A 39mm watch is supposed to appeal to people with smaller wrists and clearly this one failed.
When will they produce the Pepsi model in 39 or 37mm.
Great video. I’d take both minus the bracelets. Those I could do without.
When it comes to fine imitation watches, nkuwan delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
Is it just me, or was anyone else confused by the intro song. After thinking hard which watch videos I've heard it before I remembered. Andrew Morgan (AKA talking hands from Watchfinder) uses the same song on his private channel. Great video either way!
Pure gold writing on this one!
Cmon…they need to get the thickness down - in this day and age it shouldn’t be a problem. Get it to under 13mm
I have a 7 inch wrist, but I feel like it looks way smaller. Im so confused tbh.
You, sir, were on fire on this one. The, you'll need a tool, like guys that only wear rolexs, got me.
Tried on the 41 when it came out, the slab sides wear look and wear top heavy but love the pepsi.
I guess rolex finally fixed the date wheel issue for Tudor?
what is the car currently on your wrist?
GMT is more functional it can keep track of 1 extra timezone cus of the bezel
What if tudor launched a bb gmt on a 39 mm size with a jubilee bracelet ?
Another great review. Don’t know if you realized that you are using the same music as Andrew Morgan’s Talking Hands channel.
Great video? Love the humor.
But again: I am a pro on youtube BS so who cares ;)
Cool video- thx!
Tudor Black Bay GMT for me definitely.
I think wearing the Ploprof is messing with his take on case thickness in this review.
That's the point. If I can wear a Ploprof comfortably, all the whiny boys can wear a Black Bay Pro or GMT comfortably.
Don't think so! Own one, Evan's responsible, and love it. And also a bunch of much thinner watches. On most Tudor's I dislike the thickness.
@@YoureTerrific got BBP meself, but I'll be keeping it on the bracelet for fear of its "top-heaviness" without it.
Top-heaviness? Enthickened? Ah, whatever. Definitely glad to see the T-fit clasp on its bracelet.
I lost it on the “seven inch wrist” edit 😂
After 5 months Pro or GMT?
The BB GMT definitely wears better, it is not top heavy as the Pro. The proportions are better, the longer case negated the thickness. But you need to have 7 inch plus wrist to wear the BB GMT.
Cool! What size is your wrist?
Not sure
Please can u do review of “Ball” brand
