- Hey everyone, just testing out some new adjustments on the system, I've already gone through a couple motors learning this new set up lol. it's coming along very well though. just going through a few things before getting started on this subscriber celebration video.
*Hey everyone thanks for watching! This was just a quick video of testing out the slowdowns in the rear and also diagnosing an uneven lift in the front, the front passenger coil shifted for some reason. Everything is back on track now.* ✊🏾
How much did Rj charge you for the hydros?

Hey Kenny, thanks for watching. I purchased the Hydros through Hoppo's and dropped them off at Joe's shop. Are you wanting to know how much just the hydraulics were or the whole build? I haven't added up the total price for everything yet cause I'm not done but I'll cover all of that in an upcoming video. Joe will also be able to provide you an estimated quote on your project if you need a ballpark range quoted.
The pumps are Hoppo's, everything else is Black Magic.

@@RahFree My dream car is a 64 Impala. I loved it as a drag racing enthusiast from black and white photos looking so tough. Then I saw it in Ice Cbube's Good Day video and I was in love. I even loved it in Cheech and Chong movie on USA network as a child. I don't care if it is a 9 dollar or 99 thousand dollar car it will be mine and I will daily it til the day I die when I get one. It is my next car no matter what.
I've got a 1971 Impala I'm sure it's much more heavier. It has a oldskool Reds single pump I only use it to lift the low low for show. I can hop it about 1 foot on full charge. The dumps and batteries is where your hop is at. I run 6 batteries total it's super fast for single pump set up. Your going to have to play with your slow down valve in order to get that hop. Your ride is definitely set up for it with that ass end high. Nice ride keep making the videos I really enjoy them.
If u added some gold leaf an pin stripping it would look real good on your paint jus an opinion .. Clean mali

I recommend deep cups on the back for a few more inches of lay and more juice to the front very very nice mali
Hey, thanks for watching and showimg some love✊🏾 thanks for the feedback too! The set up has changed a little since this video, I'll show it soon, stay tuned. I don't think I can go too much lower, the extended trailing arms I have for the rear are pretty close to the frame when layed out. It layed out real nice before I had this upgrade done, you can see it in some of the older videos.
Malibu did up pretty nice. Clean and subtle paint and graphics on the frame. Juice can use some fine tuning but other than that nice. This is a good overall representation of a Low Low

Hey what's up man? Thanks for watching! I noticed that the front passenger coil is at a weird angle and is rubbing against the frame, I'm gonna try to get it back in the right position today and see if that fixes the problem. I don't think it tried coming out but it has moved. I'll have it in the next video coming up.
@@RahFree do you have deep cups up front? Sometimes the shallow ones kick out and hang up.

Looks like you might need to bleed the lines get the front to come up at the same time, the passenger side might have air in it.

Nice car homie you should open up your slow down for the back pump so it goes down faster when you dump it
Yeah I'm trying to find the sweet spot with it. These telescopic cylinders are a little touchy. The first stage drops fast and the second stage is way slower when dropping. I'll mess with it some more though. Thanks for showing some love as always man✊🏾

@@RahFree need to install some juice (not too many installers out this way but I found 2) then just pretty up the 28,000 original mile engine bay. Its still cold here in Boston so the leaf and stripe work will have to wait another month or so to finish. I will email pics when done. Got 3 boys as well so trying to pass the love on down to them, and I love it my youngest (5) already knows not to go air ride HAHAHA. He hates the compressor sounds...he is autistic. But he loved to bounce in my old project, time now for this one.

MAN ME TOO! The previous set up sat very low and pretty much tucked the tires all around. I'm not gonna lie... *I cried a little on the inside when I found out it wouldn't tuck like the old set up..* 😢

@@RahFree how much does it cost to put hydraulics on something?
If it's a lay and play set up, you can do it for a decent cost. I've seen systems purchased and installed for less than $1500. That's a VERY basic setup. I've also seen setups over $10k for wrapped frame and hydraulic components. Prices really do vary. If you plan on having g a shop do it, see I'd you can get an estimate, lots of shops offer different prices and different quality work.

Hey thanks for watching man! Yep, I'm still working on the sweet spot for the drop in the rear. The telescopics have different rates of speed when collapsing. I'll get it dialed in soon.
The batteries were at a low power level during this video unfortunately also. Gonna get another video when it is fully charged.

Honestly I believe they are just the faded factory pieces.... when close up on them you can tell they were painted black in the middle at some point and time. I'm not sure if they are all chrome originally and just painted over from the factory or not, but from what I've seen on other Malibus it's just a black painted center section. I liked it like this so I just left it like that lol.

How come RJ didn't tune it right before giving it back to you? Seems like everything is out of adjustment. At least from the comments and what I've noticed!
It's all good now. RJ Tickler put in a lot of time and hard work to build it and make it how I wanted. It was his first full build. Had to do a few things to it when I got it back but it's all good. No love lost with RJ Tickler, he's a good dude and I'm happy with the car. Definitely looking forward to working with him in the future.

How much was the pump kit
I can't remember the exact cost but I bought it along with other items. I believe its going for $2300-$2500 I could be wrong. It's on their site though hoppos.com

Hey what's up Ivan? Yes the spring is supposed to do that. Having telescopic cylinders in the rear exaggerates the travel of the spring but it's perfectly fine. If it would've fell on the ground we would've had some major issues lol! That exhaust is temporary. I just have it on for getting the car ready for the road and moving it around until the new system goes on. I have brand new headers and a stainless Pypes exhaust going on soon. @@RahFree i was wondering if it was because of the cylinders, when i saw the right side do the same thing during the 3 wheel i figured so..just never saw traveling springs before!!...lol..not hating or anything just was tryin to heads up before disaster.. I had a 86 monte on 13s and went over this bump in reverse and it trashed my exhaust system. I was actually being pulled over for loud music when it happened and the cop shined his light under my ride so i could fix it. Happened around 1:00 in the morning so was happy to get it fixed, only thing was when i popped the trunk to get tools to fix it i set my keys in the trunk, after fixing it i was so happy to see the cop leave that i said "thank you sir i got it fixed, have a good morning" then shut the trunk and hopped in, only to realize as he pulled off that i had locked my keys in my trunk!! Most uncomfortable sleep ever!!..lol..just thought I'd share
