It's great to see you and your father wrenching on these old two stroke motors. It is difficult to find young people, or anyone for that matter, to work on them.
The Detroit's are actually fairly simple really, it's just a matter of whoever is turning wrenches on it actually being FAMILIAR with one in the first place. If you know how a two-stroke works, there is not much to them. Takes A LOT in general to kill a Detroit, and not much will keep one from running which is especially important in the days of modern fuel injection and four-stroke engines. Detroit's been turning diesel into noise since wayyy back and there's a reason they're still around and running in a lot of vehicles and equipment.
Hi Tyler nice to see you back on the tube how you doing nice to see another Detroit coming back to life is that yours sound nice happy thanksgiving to you and your Mom Dad and family hope you all have a good one
Motor looks pretty clean inside and that is odd the injectors would stick in that short of time ? We 14 of those in different shapes & sizes and have not had this issue yet . Good catch on your 6-71 !
I want one of these engines so bad. Im in NW Iowa, id prefer one thats been sitting w/ stuck injectors and whatnot. Everyone wants a mint for one and its kind of a bummer, i aint rich lol
Great to see someone that was taught a correct way to get an ole 2 stroke running. Pretty simple when you know what your doing
Great job as usual! I really enjoy watching the skill with which you handle the mechanics of these old two-strokes.
Just followed all your instructions word for word to fix the injector stuck on my Detroit appreciate the help!

Another quality fix by Indiana Diesel.
Glad to see it running again. That starter button really needs to be swapped out for a momentary button.
Nice work - has that classic 671 sound.
The sweet sound of a two stroke Detroit diesel.
Cool. Speaking of injectors, how are Larry's injectors? IIRC, it's been a while since he has run...
G'day Tyler,
Do you hear of many buses that run away due to maintenance. ✌️
Awesome!
