That is now my full time job. Also we miss the How to Guy. Is there a chance if a come back? Your channel was doing well above average.

    Nice review. My history with these ND filters and action cameras is that they are great when you are is nice and slow but when you wanna use that stabilization to max form, slow shutter speeds, can mess things up. 😮

      4k 60 or 4k 120 with no ND Filters. You really don't want motion blur in sports.

    I get jitters badly if my rock steady is on at all. I have tried everything and I have been doing this a long time. Never seen anything like it

    • @SteveWB
      @SteveWB  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The jitters are because you are limiting light going into the sensor. Like using the camera in very low light. So try lower frame rates. Also try using manual settings with a lower value ND. If you use a really dark ND in auto then the camera cranks the ISO very high causing noise and jitters.

    From doing my own tests unfortunately ND filters help give a good motion blur on the dji osmo action 3 if the camera is standing still and you are moving, but if the camera is moving at high speeds, 24 or 30fpd looks extremely gittery. 60 fps at 1/120 shutter looks better, tested it with nd 8 and ND16, but still not the smoothest.

    • @SteveWB
      @SteveWB  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The stabilization is dependent on bright scenery and higher frame rates. When you use a ND you are limiting the light increasing the ISO and hurting the stabilization causing jitters.

    Hey Steve, I just got these filters. Curious as to what your settings were. Did you turn rock steady off?

    • @SteveWB
      @SteveWB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I left it on but it will jitter if not careful. I set my camera in manual mode. I set the iso to 100 to 400 , 24 frames a second and shutter 1/60. with those settings then I use the ND16 in full florida sun. If your image is too bright then increase ND if too dim then Decrease ND. If you are going to be going in and out of shade them set your ISO to 100 to 800. If you don't limit your ISO it will go crazy high and introduce a lot of grain. I also suggest using a gimble like the hohem Isteady Pro 4 or the Inkee Falcon. Then ypu can turn stabilization off. I will be making a video on this soon.
