    The joy of owning a koi pond. It's not just the fish we have to worry about but all of the other supporting bits and pieces too. Hope you get everything sorted soon. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    The fun we have with are ponds. I do think the problems that were about last year have started all over again. We are getting parasite problems that vary earlier each year . Let's hope that they get sorted out earlier to . See the three of you on 19th April. Remember, job's a goodun guide 👍

      Thanks Peter 🤞I've sorted them, and it does seem like they are getting earlier every year. Stay safe and see you soon, Andy 👍

    I made a vegetable filter had a lot of bad bacteria problems after was a nightmare had loads of plants it too thinking again need some way of bottom flushing it to keep it clean hope yours works better than mine

      My research tells me they can be a great way to add filtration and help with water quality. But they do require more maintenance, and regular vacuuming. High flow rates help and having the water filtered before going into the veg filter. I hope I can make it work 🤞

      Thanks for that. I think running through the upflow and 2 long returns I might need slightly more 🤔

    I know your pain. Just had a Pondxpert 30000 bearing fall apart and it’s not 3 years old. These ponds are made to keep us poor 😂

    Interesting. I was told that having got the PP ready I should only add 25%, then wait 15 minutes, add another 25% etc until all in. You added all of it in one go. Did you leave the skimmer on while the PP was doing its job ? I leave it off for the first 2 hours and then put it on. Think you need to find a 4 leaf clover asap. Hope everything gets fixed soon.

      Hi mate I would put it in gradually in the warmer months when the water temps are up because it can remove oxygen from the water but as my temp was at 12 and I increased the oxygen I put it all in one but I did stay by the pond and monitor them just in case and I ran the skimmer for about 10 minutes to get the treatment into the pipes then turned it off for an hour. And knowing my luck I would find one and a leaf would drop off when I picked it. 😂

    Andy interested to know your pond temp as ive been told PP and most other treatments should not be effective under 12c. And I have similar issue but pond is only 10c .

    • @DerbyKoi
      @DerbyKoi  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mark, my pond was at 12.5c when treating, but the pp I use can be used down to 10c and the fluke treatment at 12c, so it should work fine. Stay safe Andy 👍
