I’ve had one of these Bose 2.1 systems for 10 years now. Think I paid $500 for it at Best Buy. Now, is it great sound? Nope. Is it pretty good for $500? Yeah, I’ve never regretted the purchase. In terms of value for the spend, I’ve been happy with it. Could have easily spent 2x-4x that price, but I’ve never believed I’d enjoy the result 2x-4x as much. Compared to other 2.1 type solutions, it’s been a good option. However, it’s no 5.1-7.1, not even a little bit
@@yusakufudo367 I don’t believe I have any experience with that system. However, from what I’ve seen of Bose’s systems, they’re all “fine” but not “outstanding”. Their stuff is well built. I have a couple units 10 years + old and I have some relatives with some Bose units approaching 30 years old - still kicking just fine!
The acoustimass module cannot produce frequencies below 30 Hz, that is why it is not called a sub woofer. Most HTIB's and sound bars have this problem yet they are willing to call the bass units sub woofers when they are really not.
You could of got it for $200 dollars cheaper at BJ's :) (Which is a wholesales club which requires a $50 membership for a FULL YEAR) So it's a really good deal.
Have a Bose Cinamate 1 the old system, with no fiber optics in, will be using a digital to analog converter so I'll install this and the two RCA L R WILL come out to the Bose interface modual, Should this work to get sound .... Thanks
You even found a midrange warmth in them? No pun intended but I have a lifestyle 48 series iv and I find them to lack midrange at all. Bass feels soft and treble hard when pushed. I am unable to find a balance.
I love how Bose always compare to the built in tv speakers, and tell people how much better they sound. You´t need Bose to outperform the tv speakers, any 100USD HTIB can do the job as well. And then they say how wires set up is a HEADACHE, and of course they have the painkiller... LOL! If your goal is to impress housewives, then Bose is for you. But if you want superb sounds when listening to music or watching movies, get away from Bose.
this system sounds great no doubt,i personally liked it but i just cant understand why bose sells dedicated 5.1 systems if a 2.1 system can do the same job ? ...lol marketing ?
not sure about better sound. these speakers are way overpriced, i wouldn't buy these more than $50 bucks. thesound it produces doesn't even match a cheap HTIB.

I inherited one of these for free. Good thing because it sounds like shit. I wanted to like it but there was no way. Colored squawky mids, rolled off highs, boomy one note bass with poor extension and no EQ or controls to shape the sound. Not even a bass or treble. It will go pretty loud but that's about it. Too expensive (when it was current) for the crap quality and lack of control it offered. You make garbage Bose.
Owned this system for the past thirteen years and sounds awesome, never needed to replace it with a sound bar,
played the demo of these in best buy...everyone stops to listen..i loved it...definitely a worthy product!
This system is amazing. Sounds great to my ears and that's all that matters. Period.

The prize is high but hella worth it this are the best speakers in my opinion i would recomend anyone that loves sound to buy them

hi 2 days before i got bose gs cinemate .but its never work. the speaker system never on/off through remote ok pls give some idea to work

I just bought this sytem. I'm finding the mid range very flat. Also the universal controller doesn't have a chapter up and down botton.
