I remember back in the day I had this system. I had just bought in xbox and I was playing king kong. And when he roared it shook my insides through this system!

The stands for your speakers are designed so you can guide the cables down the back of the metal pole and have the cables come out of the bottom of the stand, so as to make them look almost wireless. Stringing the wires the way you have them looks ridiculous.

My setup will be identical to yours. However, I only have two short stands for the speakers and the only place I can put them is on top of the TV stand, so in your case they would be placed just in the left and right hand corners of your TV. My question is that do you know if it's okay to have those speakers that close to the TV or the interface module? Looking forward to your response! Thanks.

These speakers are designed as magnetically shielded, specifically because they will be within close proximity to sensitive electronics, such as a television. So it is safe to put them relatively close to your tv.

I have had the same system for several years, everything great. But Im thinking replacing it with a Bose soundbar 300. Would anyone one know if the change is worth it?

I have it gives off decent bass by it self i would say for a small room u can add the subwoofer & its gives a wider sound stage & a center channel and u can add rear speakers to make it a 5.1 system...if u want something close to a full surround or an wider soundstage I would definitely go for it

I cannot, for the life of me, find a replacement to this system. I would like bluetooth to play music from my phone without needing to have the tv on [have to connect via Smart Things]. Currently trying out the Samsung Q60T with Wireless rear speakers. Not getting the same sound quality as I do the Bose unless I crank up the volume on Phone. Movies are also another issue. I can go up to 100 and Q60T will barely be loud enough to shake the room.
They don’t make them like they used to.

you should look into getting a bluetooth reciever, which would let you play music via bluetooth through your Bose system!

@@jakesterfiddle this reminds me. I had a Bluetooth receiver 10 years ago when I had the original Cinemate system. I had forgotten all about that until now. I had it plugged into a technical pro S5200 equalizer because, honestly, that speaker system didn't sound that good. But, this newer GS II system sounds amazing without any eq.
