So sad to hear of the recent passing of their brother Leon Brennan, I met Leon several times whilst on holiday up in Donegal. He was a very nice person as are all the Brennan family which I had the good fortune to meet up with over many years of visiting their homeland. I think if my memory serves me well Leon used to manage Moya in the music industry some time back, It's such a loss for Moya and Enya to lose a brother, my heart goes out to them, two beautiful ladies indeed.
When God blessed this family with all their Musical gifts it feels as if they walked out of an ethereal Heaven to share their gifts with us mere mortals . I’m in such awe of their miraculous talent I would never choose between the sisters because both have voices that touch the soul. It is inspiring to watch this family when they sing together as their talent is so breathtaking. For a moment in time their voices take me into their world where Angels sing on high.

Wow! What a treasure to find this information. I am Irish descendant. I have always felt at odds with the modern life though I was born in it in 1955. I am my happiest in quiet, pure nature. I love the old ways, I love the thatched homes. There is a wonderful hot springs called Breitenbush in Detroit Lake, Oregon, no Wifi, old log houses, all off grid and you get the feeling of how life was, so long ago. It is my favorite place to go because I truly feel my true self there. When I hear old Irish and Scotch female singers, and always the bagpipes, I am unable to do anything but sit and take it in and feel the presence of God. The many healers I know (I am one) ... we share this love ... and though those ways are long ago, many do still work hard to retain their connection to nature, and add the old language and songs, and you we are always home ... the eternal spirits of nature have joined us, always waiting. Descendant from O'Dourghe from Drogheda -- nowadays called Durkee.
My sincere bows to both ladies who made this World great better and warm, cozy and tranquil! If I had these tunes as lullaby when I've been just born kid... while even now these are the sweetest healing sounds I am charmed to listen endless ... and each time a new breath-taking feel. May I honestly hope this magic will continue forever and both talents will blossom as fairy tale wonderful Elven flowers and let this all charm continue our hope till the very end of our days... My foster Father was Irish, we lived in Herefordshire England, and every year my foster parents go over to Ireland and they'd told me about how they knew Enyas parents and the pub. They never took me over with them, which broke my heart as I've been a massive Enya fan since a child. 🍻

I didn't know Enya was from such a musical family, about Clannad or that her sister was Moya Brennan ! Very interesting! And such great music. The Irish have such a strong culture and ancient language.
I knew, but I was an Enya fan before I knew Clannad. I think Enya is their youngest sibling and she was in boarding school when the rest of her elder siblings were working in their band. Eventually she joined but only for a short while before she went solo and created her own distinctive music.
Went to see Clannad a few years ago and I just thought they were absolutely wonderful, had a really nice chat with Moya, she was such a friendly person, unlike a few others in the music business.
