After 20 years since this video was recorded, this song still has that beautiful haunting quality to it. It even gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. Got to find the album.
@@KS-kb4zt 🤙 It’s obvious you have great taste in music. I wonder if there’s any others on here that are your favorites that I would also like. My taste in music is very broad and varied.
I was on my third tour of Ireland, Bored of listening to anti brit (Forces) songs on an Irish radio station. THEN... this utterly beautiful cultured Irish songstress came on the radio. Took me years to find the name of the group as that of Clannad. Now totally hooked.
I am not in Ireland, I'm only a wee bit of Irish on my Mothers side, and her Ancestors were from Tyrone....I am Scottish and live in Northern Michigan next to Lake Superior.
I've never seen this, THANK YOU! This Celtic group has among the finest voices for that style of music. Do you all know that Steve Perry, "The Voice" (formerly of Journey) contributed backup vocals on a song called "White Fool" on Clannad's album "Cirrus"? His voice is unmistakable and blends in beautifully!
as this video started i just had the chill.. reminder, all these years later, of my sons mother - we used to listen to clannad together... and i really believed that i would follow her anywhere... i cant follow her where she has gone now tho, rip nicole
I'm sorry, but I think, that because a person is deaf, doesn't automatically mean that they can't appreciate good music. I know some deaf people, who can FEEL music. If it's loud enough or makes the floor vibrate with deep sounds they feel it. They even recorded some videos with them "singing" in sign language. Put "Dobry Znak" in the you tube search. :)
Angels? What do you know about angels? If you feel like going to heaven, why don't you try and get dead! ... I must say, though, that I love this song!
@MrNonickdude "In the track "I Will Find You," written especially for the film The Last of the Mohicans, Máire sings in Mohican and Cherokee." See the Wikipedia article for Clannad.
@ddthienvuong She's different than what? It looks like Moya to me. This video was in 1993. That's exactly how she looked on all my older Clannad tapes and CD's.
Sorry, I was out of circulation for awhile. My Moms folks were from Canada via Wales and Ireland, the same for my Da, but from Scotland. In this part of the upper Great Lakes having ancestors from Canada is not that uncommon.
Lyrics to this does anyone know so beautiful !! My fave track from the Mohicans movie so moving I did not know it was Celtic that makes it even better I am Metis >hey ho from Canada
My recollection: It's in there- right after he leaves her in the cave- when he tells her to stay alive- no matter what- and that he'll come find her. Then he jumps off into the waterfall.
I'm pretty sure it's in Cherokee and English, and here's a link to the lyrics: http :// www . metrolyrics . com /i-will-find-you-lyrics-clannad . html (without spaces ofc :))

I find your comment more disturbing actually. Maire is a beautiful woman, even though she is past 60 now. What were you smoking when you thought she looked crazy? Or had you been on the ´shrooms?
I never realized this was an Irish song. It has the haunting and yet beautiful melody of a native american imagery!
Indian bit isnt it?

Som att höra änglarna sjunga, det finns änglar, och ibland får vi bara höra dem, med vi vet att de finns
Beautiful Irish lady . Those eyes.
@jannierocks I accidentally deleted whoever confirmed that yes, Steve is singing in Gaelic---I KNEW it! Thanks so much! Jan

emmonstrex65 that’s correct but in the extended edition or directors cut it is not makes me mad

Oh, the dislikers dislike only the bad picture quality, not the sound or the song :)

"Oro" is just as good as this one.
