It's pretty heavily suggested that after mother 1 it tried to commit suicide, but although his mind faded away, his power and body did not in an act of self preservation. Basically turned him into a swirling mass of biomass, and it explains why giygas looks like he does, it's trying to put itself back together.

Ah I haven’t faced Giegue yet, only just started Earthbound Beginnings it was Giygas I couldn’t beat. I used prayer with Paula but was still quite hard. Definitely planning to replay the game someday though.

I think the Amalagamate theme is just a really cool rendition of THE PLACE and Giygas’ Lair mashed together with some sweet percussion. Also, one commenter from the OST track itself says that it’s probably Giygas’ diss track!
That's very disturbing if it was real lol there would be a thing like you cannot leave it until to defeat it and it would reward you with memories which are a static effect light bulb and giygas's compromised meat. And a shield that is red like in mother 2 or 3 idk when like giygue got distorted and has a giygas aura

Two voice clips, one is from the last song of the game, the other one is from one of the first songs of the game. To figth Giygas, you have to look back at the past, you have to grow from it, so that you can face the future. Only then you can beat him. Is this what the use of these two voice clips is meant to rapresent?

Best remaster remix ever! Loved the Mother series, but I was never able to beat Gyias. It was one of the most difficult bosses I ever faced.
Giegue or Giygas? If it’s Giegue, you have to sing to him. If it’s Giygas, use Paula to pray.
