Fully agree with this review. We bought our 2018 Kia Niro hybrid EX about a year ago, and it's been absolutely spectacular as "a car", meaning it does everything we want it to do for commuting, shopping, errands, and just driving wherever we need to go. You guys need to understand how great this car is, for how relatively little money it costs. The engine is a little noisy, but it is very quiet in the inside, the materials are upscale from cheaper Kia or Hyundai models, the seats are comfortable, and here is the trick you are all going to want to know: The reason the Touring model;s MPG drops so much is because it has larger, heavier, and wider 18" wheels wth less fuel efficient tires. More contact patch on the road means more rolling resistance, which translates directly to less MPG in addition to the extra weight. But there is a solution if you want better MPG but still want ALL the goodies the Touring model has: - Get the EX model and add the $5,000 EX Premium Package. This will get you very literally every single thing the Touring model has. Everything. Adaptive cruise, the HK audio system, heated and cooled seats, rear USB and vents, leather, heated steering wheel, everything. EVERYTHING - except the 18" wheels. On the EX you get the same smaller, narrower 16" steel wheels with plastic wheel covers on the FE and LX trims, meaning even with the premium package and all the goodies the touring model offers, you still get over 50 mpg on average. And that's not an exaggeration. You can easily average 50 mpg in the EX premium model, I do it all the time, as long as it's a mix of city and highway driving with some traffic (which lets it run in electric mode, upping your mpg average) it's 50 mpg easy. When I fill the tank with 87, it only takes 10 gallons, and then it estimates 530 miles of range. And it's accurate, you can easily get 500 miles out of it, assuming you drive it normally - not even trying to hypermile it, just drive it normally and you'll get 500+ miles on ~10 gallons of 87. And the best part - these are not exclusive cars, any dealer that is marking them up will cave under negotiation. So I got my EX model with premium package, meaning literally every single option Kia offers for this car - for $28k. Remember, that includes leather, the harman kardon audio (which is excellent btw), adaptive radar cruise control (which is the best thing ever to have been put in a car, IMO - it works amazingly well), USB everywhere, wireless charging, apple carplay/android auto, truly excellent interior ergonomics and one of the best infotainment systems in the industry - it's fast, responsive, easy to use and has just the right kind of physical buttons in addition to the touchscreen. It's comfortable, it's quiet, the driver's seat is powered and has 2-person memory, it has HID headlights, LED DRL light strips, fog lights, front and rear parking assist system, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel! automatic braking with pedestrian detection, full safety systems including lane keep assist, collision warning, and even a sunroof. The value for money this car represents is unbelievable. It's not just a cheap high MPG hybrid - it's a genuinely good car. And with a 10 year /100k mile full drivetrain warranty including the entire hybrid powertrain, you can't beat that with any other carmaker. And the transition between gas and electric is really smooth, it does it automatically, you just drive the car normally and let it decide when to use electric. better yet use the adaptive cruise, which will switch to electric whenever it can. And since it automatically brakes and accelerates based on the car in front of you or whatever you set the cruise to, you almost never need to touch the pedals, You just relax and keep your eyes on the road, and you're golden. It's hard to describe how that one thing completely changes the driving experience. It's been flawless. no issues, no rattles, nothing breaking. Just absolutely consistently excellent utility and driving nirvana. Not in terms of performance really, this isn't a performance car - but like Micah said, it handles better than you would expect, it's no Miata but it doesn't disappoint either. And the rear cargo room is cavernous when the rear seats are folded down. You can put a LOT of stuff in there. And then with the somewhat elevated driving position it's very easy to see out of and get in and out of, it has auto driver's seat reverse, so it moves back when you turn the car off to let you get in and out easier. I rarely use sport mode since I want the car to get good mpg, but when I have used it, the acceleration changes dramatically. It uses full power in both gas and electric motors, and it will break the wheels loose from a stop (you can turn traction control off with a single physical button). Noticeably better acceleration in sport mode. Eco mode (the default mode) feels sluggish by comparison but that's by design, in order to try to get maximum mpg out of it. Bottom line - as a do-everything family car, if you have kids or dogs or just carpool a lot, for use in any manner of typical driving needs like commuting or shopping or taking a trip to Vegas or highway or city driving, it's basically unbeatable, especially for the price. It's so good inside and out, it gets such good MPG, it has so many insanely great high tech features (with the premium package or the touring model) with such a massively good warranty, and the interior ergonomics are so good, it feels so good to use and drive, it's so great for long trips with adaptive cruise and lane keep assist and that HK audio system and carplay and heated/cooled seats and excellent back seat room - I'm 6'3 and I fit "behind myself" (with the driver's seat in my position) with legroom TO SPARE and plenty of headroom. Which is almost completely unheard of in ANY car, for somebody my size, never mind in a smaller CUV-type small suv like the Niro. Easily handles 5 passengers and all their crap in the back, in comfort. I never would have said this about a Kia as recently as maybe 5 years ago. We're living in a new age of excellence from the Koreans now, and everybody needs to throw out their old biases and misconceptions. Kias are REALLY GOOD now. If you are even vaguely in the market for anything like this car you need to check out the Niro. The fact that it acts and drives and looks like a "normal car" is one of its biggest strengths. And then you can get it as a PHEV or full EV if you want, depending on your personal driving needs or wants - they're all excellent. I chose the standard hybrid because I had a long commute and I wanted the superior range and not have to plug it in. The standard hybrid was perfect for that, you choose whichever powertrain setup is perfect for you since Kia offers all three. You basically can't lose.
@@LinneaLindstrom Well the great part is that you have the choice; you can just go with whichever suits your needs better. I wanted the longer range, so I chose the standard hybrid; but the full EV is still pretty good at around 240 mi range and then you don't have to pay for gas at all.
I just got a 2019 Niro EX about 3 weeks ago. It's been quite a jump from the 1995 Honda Civic DX I had been driving for the past ten years. I'm a small person. The back windows have great visibility. I like being up a bit higher, yet don't have to struggle to get into the vehicle or struggle to get out. It is easier for those that may have knee problems and mobility is more limited. I won't be taking it anywhere that I wouldn't take the Honda. The reason I didn't go with the EV (well I live in an apartment), but besides that an extra $150 would be added to my tabs (laws will eventually change to reflect mileage instead). Still, though I don't want to dish out almost $1k in car tabs each year.
I love this car.... Great commuter car.....and sport mode has a good kick.... Here in socal I get about 515 miles on a full tank (about $37)... Can't beat that!

I bought the 2019 Kia Niro LX, and it's had it's issues mostly caused by the incompetent dealers, but I love this car, great mpg 49/50 since I drive like 50+ miles a day to/from work, compact suv-like, solid in winter. Just a solid frugal practical car. I love all the android auto stuff too.
I have one. Each fill up gets you over 530 miles for what we’ve paid no more than $25 for. It’s a simple hybrid, no charging, no worries. Very comfortable and quite roomy!!
I don't know were you live, but I have a hyunda ioniq. I feel up by 10 or 12 gal. tank to the "brim". I can see gasoline setting in the neck. When I get back in the car, my range shows 630 ton 650 miles a tank. I'm getting 52 to 57 over all. I use Ethanol free gas, and it's only 25 to 50 cents more per gallon and I do get 200 to 250 when I feel it to the brim in stead of stopping when it cuts off. The niro hybrad LX or the EX with the premium $5000.00 package. I asked one dealer about that and of course they said they couldn't do that!! surprise, surprise!
@@douglassalley9117 filling gas to the brim or filler neck is just dumb..pure dumb. What's the reason, so you can brag about the extra tank MPG? Youre not getting better MPG. Our Niro is a godsend, as we travel 32 miles to work every day. Fun fact, the 2021 Niro makes a hovercar sound when running on the electric motor at low speeds.
Just traded in my 4x4 Kia Borrego V8 EX for this hybrid in the Touring trim. It's more efficient than my AWD Sportage 2.4 LX. After an 800 km (500 mi) road trip, I found it comfortable and capable. Once in a town environment, I found that it was a bit slow to go when the lights turned green, so I flipped to sport mode which helped with acceleration off the line at intersections, and I had to be careful not to chirp the tires. Switching back to normal drive mode, I could remain in EV up to 60 km/h (under 38mph) on level ground. On the way home, we drove through a snow storm and had no issues because we have studded snow tires are on it. Can't wait until spring to drive with the OEM wheels & tires.
RBS The Stinger GT since there’s not many sedans in this current market that grabs my attention.. The Ford SHO is going away (for now) and the Nissan Maxima is fwd.
60 mpg is possible... my Niro, is my daily hero. Turn on the setting that keeps track of your economical, normal, and aggressive driving. Mine usually says 95%, 5%, 0%, respectively - and those numbers will get you to 60 mpg! Thanks, Kia!
Bought Kia Niro EV premium. Currently getting an average of 4.5 miles per kwh. 239 mile range advertised is clearly under rated. If you're looking for a reliable electric car with amazing features and range.. Get it!
Thanks for the breakdown! I drive Uber full-time and I'm leaning towards either the FE trim or an EX model or maybe the touring. You can't beat 52 city miles!
It's a seriously great car - we have 23k on it, and absolutely no issues. Non-aggressive driving will get you over 60 mpg. We've seen ours briefly go as high as 62.5 mpg.
@@Rdsd-jw4be The PHEV starts at $29495 for the LX trim, $24592 after tax credit, the EX that matches the EX EV starts at $33095, $28552 after tax credit.

Kia have sure come a long way ever since I've been aware of them...so I guess that would be around 19 years. I'm paying a lot more attention to them nowadays.
@@austingarnersytmusic5833 nope- it has 10 yr/100k mil, as does aything drivetrain. If you live in a "CA emissions" standards state you get longer. I believe it's 12 yrs/120k miles. But its essentially the same battery as Prius, same batt mfgrer, it will last as long or longer than engine.
I wanted a Toyota Pruis V. Finally found one. Got to drive it for 3 days. Suddenly realized I didn't like it. The 2013 has some serious issues. This is like a Touson but much better mileage and layout. This is also a sweet looking car. Even with a trim 5 Pruis your getting fake leather seats that are truly uncomfortable.
I'm looking at the Touring model. Some reviews were concerned about going from 16" wheels to 18". Road noises, handling, mpg? I'll be trading in a 2016 Malibu Hybrid
I would happily trade 2mpg for a normal looking car like the niro vs prius or one of the other cars designed for only mileage with no though of styling. That is the exact reason I ordered a 22 Niro a few weeks ago
I bought a KIA niro Phev and the seller told me the AC and Heater worked with electricity. Sadly everyone at this dealer didn't know that the Heater don't work during winter. It go full hybrid without asking and now U dont have an PHEV but an Hybrid car. I live in quebec (canada) and half the year its winter. Big fail from them and they didnt even care saying the car is made like that we can't do shit about that. People will say well just give it back. I bought it during summer and we did not have to test it. The only thing that saved us here in Quebec, the government gave a bonus for electric car. So they will sell a car that can do 40km( 50km if driving more slowly ) and the rest its hybrid. But in the end U only have that during half a year.
anybody have the experience necessary to compare this directly to the pontiac vibe? i love my vibe, but everything starts to show its age eventually and i really want to get another car that feels just like it.
I hope is not the 2020 since I was excited to buy the much nicer looking and improved redesign model that is already out in Europe. I guess I'll have to look at other hybrids :-(
There’s something about the Kia Niro missing that “wow” factor. I see it and I’m just not thrilled with it’s exterior, or interior. It’s not ugly, but it’s not gorgeous either.
By “wow” I meant it’s relationship to the Kia Soul. That car is beautiful, sporty, and full of tricks that makes it a leading contender in the subcompact cuv segment. It’s strange that the designers of the Niro didn’t take a page out of that book for this car. It seems appliance like.
I like that factor myself. I don't like wow, because it often become out of date. The Audi TT cars looked great when they first came out, now it's dated and fake pretentious. The Altimas look like crap. Prius Buck Rodgers look looks like shit. The Ford Edge was edgy, now campy. The "square" cube cars- hot new look that's now a joke.. I ike a wagon look, basically utilitarian. I especially like the Niro dash- no giant cockpit-like center console, weird shapes , high joystick shifter- just straight smooth German type dash with great controls. Plus no crappy rubber band CVT drive.
I don't get why they call this an "SUV." And they don't actually sit higher than the average 4-door saloon you see driving down the boulevard. A few months ago I tried putting a Niro in my garage, and the car high-centered while climbing in. I own a Honda CR-V, and that's considered a "compact SUV"... yet the Niro is considerably smaller... So then would the Niro be considered a "sub-compact SUV?" Because without substantially higher clearance and the lack of all-wheel-drive capability, I see the Niro as nothing more than an average hatchback compact sedan that's trying way too hard to be a Subaru Crosstrek.
www.caranddriver.com/news/a26568828/2020-kia-niro-new-features-photos-info/ Doesn't look like it carried over to the US spec. Front end looks decent in that photo.
The 2020 interior and exterior get a few visual refinements (probably will cost more too), but the hybrid gas/electric engine (where it counts) is the same as the 2019 version. The 2020 EV model does get a beefier, longer range battery, however.
@@douglassalley9117 It ain't that. I was strongly considering this car for the longest time, so when ever I do see one I notice em. For every Niro I see I see 20 Souls.
I like that, being unique and not looking like a Prius. If fuel went to $5 a gal., youd see a lot more. Dumbos will drive their big wasteful SUV until fuel goes up$ again.
IF Kia / Hyundai IMT is decent i'd dump that DCT. UMMMM the front does look a little weird. AWD would boost sales even if the rear was electric like the RAV4. The 2020 non-US spec received a bunch of changes.
Only US drivers need AWD. It wastes fuel , why buy a hybrid? In snowy icy Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Canada they dont have nearly the % of AWD . FWD works well if you have good tires and know how to drive.
the kia niro is my dream car for reals im driving a 2016 prius c 🙄 its like im driving a toy car. i have 0 cargo room and people are squished in the back seat.
Sully Saints i just got one a couple of weeks ago and this car is amazing! Seriously amazing! It is such a smooth ride. I’m really happy with this purchase.
@@kylemas2005 Kia and Hyundai arent the same co., they share some components, like VW/Audi do. Though they both produce all levels, Hyundai was orig. the more budget brand, not Kia. But you gotta ask, how did Kia and H. come way up through the toughest competition, Honda and Toyota to prominence... when Mitsu has declined to the bottom of Japanese sales? The Mirage isn't even a good ricer racer.
@@land7776 Bottom of Japanese sales? You know Mitsubishi had been the fastest growing Asian brand in the US market 2 years in row. Theyre slowly pulling themselves out of the hole of the last 10 years. Not to mention their oversea sales are very strong on a consistent basis. It helps when your part of the largest industrial conglomerate in Japan. Mitsubishi produces everything from pencils to stealth fighters. Mitsubishi is making a nice comeback especially with Nissan backing them.
@@land7776 Hyundai owns a third of KIA too btw. And implying they're on the same level of Toyota and Honda is a bit of a stretch. Not to say they dont make good cars, they do, but then again so does Mitsubishi.
Also check out the new Corolla hybrid. Also not as ugly as a Prius, and if an older Prius generator fails it costs about $6,000 to fix, usually making it totalled. Maybe wait to see if the coming Mazda Skyactiv X engine is reliable, based on Consumer Reports magazine survey results instead of JD Power bullcrap.
That dual clutch is my biggest fear.. they aren't covered in that warranty, and the clutch pack on those things is really expensive, and more so with the hybrid drive system involved..
Well I'm convinced, my Cadenza has 176,300 miles, no issues whatsoever. give one of their more modern vehicles a chance and you'll see just how much better they are than the competition.
there's a youtuber on here, Kevin Zeggler, he has a 2017 Hyunda ioniq he has pictures of his with a trailer. The kind that you put riding mowers and golf carts on and building lumber, etc. So I guess you can tow with a Hybrid.
I'm assuming it has to do with added weight due to that trim being more luxurious. Additionally the touring has 18 inch rims vs the 16 inch on the base model. That means more weight in the wheels (requires more energy to spin the wheels) and a slightly higher ride height (less aerodynamic). That would be my best guess.
It's the 18' wheels, which are heavier, taller and wider, meaning more contact patch which means more rolling resistance and slightly higher ride height, worse aero. You can get the EX model with the EX Premium Package, which gives you literally every option Kia offers for the Niro, everything the Touring model has, but you keep the smaller, more efficient 16" wheels from the FE and LX trims, keeping your mpg average above 50.
Really!?!! This is not a review but a long winded sales pitch.... I wonder how much Kia paid him to tell us it is a perfect car... I will give him one star for lightness and fun.... out of 10

RBS The Stinger GT since there’s not many sedans in this current market that grabs my attention.. The Ford SHO is going away (for now) and the Nissan Maxima is fwd.
I love my kia niro hybrid 💙
I have the 2019 Kia Niro EX premium got it yesterday last 2019 on our lot and brand new has all the bells and whistles love it
60 mpg is possible... my Niro, is my daily hero. Turn on the setting that keeps track of your economical, normal, and aggressive driving. Mine usually says 95%, 5%, 0%, respectively - and those numbers will get you to 60 mpg! Thanks, Kia!
I'm a Prius Fanboy as I owned one, but can't get over the cockroach look of the last Gen. The Niro looks MUCH BETTER!
Aww, I love how this was filmed in Long Beach. I recognized the hut buildings in the back right away.
I have a 2015 Kia Soul now, I think I’m gonna trade it in for one of these. I really like the Niro.
I saw this vehicle at the car show and love it. Looks fun to drive.
Bought Kia Niro EV premium. Currently getting an average of 4.5 miles per kwh. 239 mile range advertised is clearly under rated. If you're looking for a reliable electric car with amazing features and range.. Get it!
I loved the guy he is so funny and on point. Amazing good job dude love you
Thanks for the breakdown! I drive Uber full-time and I'm leaning towards either the FE trim or an EX model or maybe the touring. You can't beat 52 city miles!
I got an LX which is my perfect happy-medium in the Niro lineup. Enough features but less expensive than an EX. Thank god for Android Auto, though.
How is the long term reliability of the Kia niro?
Looking for a car that gets good mpg but also want it to last forever and be cheap to maintain.
Hybrid 2 series, 16'C + = 65-70mpg, 0'C and wet = 52-56mpg, Great car to drive, easy to get in and out for all 4 seats
We have 2019 L for less than a week. What a great car.
Do you still like it?
Great review of a car I'm seriously thinking about. Thanks for this!
It's a seriously great car - we have 23k on it, and absolutely no issues. Non-aggressive driving will get you over 60 mpg. We've seen ours briefly go as high as 62.5 mpg.
Wish there was a AWD version
Same here
Yep, AWD would be nice.
Hybrid AWD would be best. Electric RWD Gas FWD.
You really don't need it with the Niro, I live in Canada and have zero issues this last winter.
It will definitely be my next car.
Are you sure that's a 2020? I sell these guys and the 2020 is (supposedly) getting the same facelift as the 2019 Kia Niro EV.
calvinstrikesagain they got the price wrong as well, the EV starts at around 39k
@@Rdsd-jw4be $39,495 with destination, but $31,995 after tax credit.
@@Rdsd-jw4be The PHEV starts at $29495 for the LX trim, $24592 after tax credit, the EX that matches the EX EV starts at $33095, $28552 after tax credit.
calvinstrikesagain hey you seem to know your stuff. What state are you in and is that tax credit available to anyone?
@@chocolatewheelchair that's a federal tax credit on every Kia Niro PHEV and EV. There are individual state credits available in at least California and Colorado, check with your local dealer to see what's Abilene in your neck of the woods.
If you're here in New Mexico, come see me at Fiesta Kia.
Howdy, great review as always!😸😻😸😻
Kia have sure come a long way ever since I've been aware of them...so I guess that would be around 19 years. I'm paying a lot more attention to them nowadays.
I think all companies have... cars are looking so good nowadays and Buick has advanced big time and this is awesome
you don't come up through the two toughest competitors, Honda and Toyota, and grow to Kia/Hyundai level without having great cars.
silly micah, toyota themselves clarified the plural form of priuses is prii a couple years ago
RANDOM Fact: I have a feeling this was shot in the Long Beach area. Those round buildings actually sell carpet.
Kent Yang yep. Mica lives in Long Beach
Hey Micha, Doesn't the Niro have a lifetime battery warranty?
Yep!
Man, it must be Kia season! :)
I'll be trading in a 2016 Malibu Hybrid
the best hybrid car ever!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anybody had any problems driving this car on the snow???
Thanks!
I would happily trade 2mpg for a normal looking car like the niro vs prius or one of the other cars designed for only mileage with no though of styling. That is the exact reason I ordered a 22 Niro a few weeks ago
What is the millage average on this car?
were those geodesic domes??
what colour is the car in this video?
Deep Cerulean
2:47 he passed gas and checked if we heard it.
Magnificent "7" !
When 2020 model comes?????
Filmed in Long Beach??? That's the corner of Spring and Los Coyotes Diagonal!
anybody have the experience necessary to compare this directly to the pontiac vibe? i love my vibe, but everything starts to show its age eventually and i really want to get another car that feels just like it.
This is not Niro 2020. That's been redesigned thoroughly.
Maybe the redesign isn't hitting the US this year?
@@aCoreyJ maybe!
I hope is not the 2020 since I was excited to buy the much nicer looking and improved redesign model that is already out in Europe. I guess I'll have to look at other hybrids :-(
guizarbg This is the 2019. The dash and infotainment for the 2020 is significantly different.
What color is this?
Kia did good with this one
Amazing car
Daily!
Kia is doing everything right these days . Subaru's watch out!
Something missing in the design department
Three Kia reviews in a row. Obviously the "K" in "KBB" has switched from "Kelly" to "Kia".
You didn't get the new interior? Shame, European Niro got refreshed inside as well and it looks ... stunning? I can't believe I said this about Kia.
love niro hybrid!!!!
How tall r u?
There’s something about the Kia Niro missing that “wow” factor. I see it and I’m just not thrilled with it’s exterior, or interior. It’s not ugly, but it’s not gorgeous either.
Put a mercedes badge and I bet every body loses their minds
It's a economy hybrid , they're not made to give you a "wow" factor impression.
By “wow” I meant it’s relationship to the Kia Soul. That car is beautiful, sporty, and full of tricks that makes it a leading contender in the subcompact cuv segment. It’s strange that the designers of the Niro didn’t take a page out of that book for this car. It seems appliance like.
The 2020 Hybrid version has a somewhat more appealing look, if that's all that matters. The engine is the same.
Is there even a difference between the 2019 and 2020 versions?
www.caranddriver.com/news/a26568828/2020-kia-niro-new-features-photos-info/
Doesn't look like it carried over to the US spec. Front end looks decent in that photo.
The 2020 interior and exterior get a few visual refinements (probably will cost more too), but the hybrid gas/electric engine (where it counts) is the same as the 2019 version. The 2020 EV model does get a beefier, longer range battery, however.
Where are those domes
That's not a SUV.. that's a hatchback!!
SUV-ish hatchback lol
I own Niro ev now, and it is great car!
true, it's more a wagon with ADA height seats.. it makes a difference from sedan height seats
What happened? Kia give you a tester for each model for the same week? Three Kia reviews in a row.
Oh, I didn't know Kia had a hybrid hatchback.
What’s the federal tax credit amount?
Don't see many of these on the road
Because they don't look like a Hybrid!! They blend in with other small popular cars.
@@douglassalley9117 It ain't that. I was strongly considering this car for the longest time, so when ever I do see one I notice em. For every Niro I see I see 20 Souls.
@@douglassalley9117 Absolutely.
I like that, being unique and not looking like a Prius. If fuel went to $5 a gal., youd see a lot more. Dumbos will drive their big wasteful SUV until fuel goes up$ again.
All these crossovers are sedans that were raised a few inches. Change my mind
It's not a sedan
Nah, Ill stick with Mitsubishi Mirage son! Rawdoggin
Misubishi sucks- low budget, and resale is off the cliff... theyre the red-headed stepchild of Japanese cars...
@@land7776 Id rather have a red headed Japanese stepson than a Korean one! You know KIA is the economy brand of Hyundai right?
My license plate"Robert".
It’s bonkers that this “SUV” has less cargo space than the Prius
Also check out the new Corolla hybrid. Also not as ugly as a Prius, and if an older Prius generator fails it costs about $6,000 to fix, usually making it totalled. Maybe wait to see if the coming Mazda Skyactiv X engine is reliable, based on Consumer Reports magazine survey results instead of JD Power bullcrap.
This guy has been a jag off for years!
I thought they put 60 hp electric motor from phev in the hev(s) now, combined hp is still the same though
PHEV = "fev"
awe its not Lady Micah ☹️
And you forget about built-in wireless charger 🙄
That dual clutch is my biggest fear.. they aren't covered in that warranty, and the clutch pack on those things is really expensive, and more so with the hybrid drive system involved..
I just got a 2019 Kia and wanted to know the basics. This video didn't help me at all.
Why would anyone think this is a SUV? It's a bloody hatchback! Get a clue North America, this is pretty European for a so-called 'crossover'?
60pmg it’s possible
me and this car have same name
I’m still not convinced on the reliability of Kia Hyundai. I’ve had one. The suspension was shit and a lot of things went wrong.
Well I'm convinced, my Cadenza has 176,300 miles, no issues whatsoever. give one of their more modern vehicles a chance and you'll see just how much better they are than the competition.
Brady Bisgard the kia and Hyundai scare me from buying one plus they don’t even understand what i wrong or causing them
@@tiredtill2010 ?
Over 200k miles on 2013 soul, no major issues. 40000 km in less then a year on my Niro no issues at all.
2008 Hyundai Sonata, 148k miles, no major and almost 0 problems. 2017 Niro, no problems. Warranty up the yang if there was..
Cool car, except for the name.
Niro/Nero. What next, a Hyundai Hitler? 😂
What happened to his voice?
But it can't tow
Why would you want to tow with a hybrid? This is essentially a Prius. Do you see people throwing things around in a Prius?
there's a youtuber on here, Kevin Zeggler, he has a 2017 Hyunda ioniq he has pictures of his with a trailer. The kind that you put riding mowers and golf carts on and building lumber, etc. So I guess you can tow with a Hybrid.
@@douglassalley9117 You can but it's a very small minority of people who would do such a thing.
You can with a light trailer, but then there goes your fuel efficiency.
wow nice
Hybrid car with base price of 24k lol
0:19 I’d rather drive something that someone thinks is weird and then just another cookie cutter vehicle at all at the same
The styling is basic.
Nothing outrageous, not hideous, just basic and that’s ok
Why does the touring trim get so little compared to the base?
I'm assuming it has to do with added weight due to that trim being more luxurious. Additionally the touring has 18 inch rims vs the 16 inch on the base model. That means more weight in the wheels (requires more energy to spin the wheels) and a slightly higher ride height (less aerodynamic). That would be my best guess.
dygardion 91 The wheels.
It looks beautiful..

whats with all the Kia reviews ? please please take a break from Kia and review other worthy cars .
Kias are good cars. I've been driving a Kia since 2014, two different models actually. Very good cars.
Really!?!! This is not a review but a long winded sales pitch.... I wonder how much Kia paid him to tell us it is a perfect car... I will give him one star for lightness and fun.... out of 10
Such an ugly car and extremely overpriced! Rather get the sportage that’s cheaper and bigger both still ugly but this car is just ugly inside and out.
