Man their 4-stars have been so wildly random lately I full expect them to somehow do a fast rerun again and then forget Yukong exists, again. Their schedule has no rhyme or reason lol.
Sometimes they kinda have a theme (like Xueyi and March being on the Robin/Topaz rerun banner for Follow-Up Attacks), but I definitely see what you mean about there not really being a schedule.
Acheron was a really good banner actually, both pela and galagher were good with acheron

I think Firefly is gonna run with Ruan Mei, it makes sense with their kits and she is due for a rerun. The entire patch of only DPS seems unlikely. This makes the first half a high-priority update where a lot of players are likely to spend on both (if they don't have Ruan Mei). People who pulled for Boothill and don't have Mei, will also be looking to get her.

@@kyon-kyon71 your reasoning is flawed, from a business perspective you want to have 2 high priority banners at the same time to force f2p to start spending and force low spenders to spend more because they don't have as much time to save.
@@darkgrundi9543 But, on another business perspective, running them on consecutive patches would ensure that there is a staple supply of express supply and nameless honor revenue. If the wanted characters are in one phase, then they’ll stop buying these supplies. Prolonging the release of a wanted character makes an illusion that the express supply is cheaper but if u accumulate the total spent, it will skyrocket. If you release tempting characters while edging the wanted characters, then the players will lose some Jades since their business model is Gacha, it’s natural that the players would risk getting a tempting character while providing them an illusion of choice that they can still save up for their most wanted character. But if the wanted characters got released all in one go, then sure the revenue will be on high on that 1 phase. But for a business, to be sustainable, they need to entice players with new units that are tempting while also holding the character they want to ensure a stable source of revenue. Businesses aren’t always about making the highest sales in one go, it can also be about sustainability. What happens if all the following banner didn’t get as much as revenue as they’d projected, they won’t have enough to pay salaries and might reallocate the budget. But if they have a stable source of Revenue (from Express supply and Nameless Honor which requires daily accumulation) then they can continue to operate. There will always be whales that will spend so much on that wanted character but there are no F2Ps that can become Whales overnight. Not everyone are willing to pay that much money for Character in the game if you’re already an F2p in the beginning. But what they can do is create dolphins instead. Not everyone has the capacity to become whales but Dolphins will be more feasible. Prolonging a characters release is a breeding ground for Dolphins. See, that’s smarter.
F2Ps can’t be whales if they don’t have the money to spend. But a cheaper method is more feasible thus revoking their F2P status. Whales will always exist in the community they can spend all they want be it in a single patch or consecutive patch but that won’t bring as much as revenue unlike enticing both Whales and Dolphins. As such there is business strategy in prolonging wanted characters than simply making the highest sale

@@kyon-kyon71 All of those Harmony characters serve different niches in different teams, with not a lot of competition between them. In the same vein, we just had Silver Wolf > Kafka > Black Swan > Acheron from 1.5 to 2.1, all Nihility characters but all who fill different niches, making it entirely reasonable for someone to pull for all four (in fact, i know people who did exactly that).
On the contrary, I'd argue it would be strange for them to release and rerun so many Break-based characters back-to-back without bringing back the premiere Break support.

The only issue I have with those 5* predictions is the lack of any support/defensive unit. I dont think they'll release a patch with only damage dealer
True, they do tend to pair a support with a damage dealer. My thought was that Huohuo would rerun again, and then probably Ruan Mei. Plus, there hasn't been any info about new 4* characters (hoping Screwlum will either be a new 4* OR that we'll get him later on as a 5*).

My guess is that Ruan Mei will re-run in 2.3. She is a very popular and strong character, lots of people probably want her. Maybe pair her with Firefly banner and try and break record sales.

It’s a shame because I think she’s actually the most easy on the eyes character in the entire roster
I feel like Argenti could be phase 1 instead of phase 2. We’ve only ever had one instance of two characters of the same path running at the same time, and I feel like they want to avoid that happening too much.
I think that what they did recently with running an older limited sustain (Luocha) right before running a new sustain (Aventurine) was really smart, since people might not have felt inclined to pull the old one if they see how well the new one is performing, but since people didn’t know how good Aventurine was during Luocha’s banner, a good amount of people pulled for him. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that again, but with these Erudition units.
Tho ofc there’s always the chance Argenti and Jade have entirely different playstyles, so they won’t compete and maybe they’ll run at the same time (like Seele and Topaz, where they don’t compete since one is a hypercarry and one is a hybrid debuffer/DPS)

I can think up of a reason why they arn't bringing back Yukong but it's a bit of a 2.2 spoiler. *** Imaginery Harmony Trailblazer ***. Their role and dmg type is same as Yukong and they perhaps don't want everyone to be sitting on an E6 Imaginary Harmony who has a similar kit when our trailblazer gets their new powers. It might soften the landing. At least this is the reason why we didn't see her rerun at least during Penacony patches.
to be fair their kits are so different and work for different teams so shouldn't be a problem
HTB wont have e6 on release, and the 4* on banners 80% dont make sense anyway.
Seeing how the trend of reruns usually being a dps and a support/debuffer (with the only exception being in the second half of 1.6)
I am going to put in my own guess that the reruns for 2.3 would be Ruan mei and huo huo

I think Natasha will be rerunning over Gallagher because i feel like thats just too early for him. we know that Sams entire kit will revolve around self damage because her boss fight is all about her taking her own hp once she goes giga mode so i think shes going to re run with a healer and Natasha hasnt been on a banner in a while so i think she will be rerunning instead of Arlan in first half and Arlan in second half. Maybe they rerun dr ratio in second half so it would be Yukong second half and Natasha first
It’s definitely not too early. Luka just ran with Aventurine and he’ll be running again with Boothill.
Additionally, Gallagher has way more synergy with Sam than Natasha does, seeing as how both Sam and Gallagher are focused on fire break.
Gallagher also increases the team’s break effect, which would not only buff Firefly but also Ruan Mei and Harmony Trailblazer, and with HTB on the team, he’ll be doing crazy amounts of break dmg too.
I would go as far as to say Gallagher might be Samfly’s best sustain (from a dmg and synergy perspective) whereas Natasha would be one of the worst lol
Quick question, what are your thoughts regarding Screwlum? Do you think he'll be 5* or 4* once Hoyo decides to make him playable? I ask because we haven't gotten any info about a new 4* character for 2.3, so I'm wondering if that might influence who gets reruns too.
My bet is on Asta, Yukong, Arlan.
Hoping for Gallagher, everything about him being on her banner makes sense but asta could easily snipe the spot 😢
In my opinion
The banners coming in 2.3 will be these 2 .
Firefly and huo huo in 1st half because of heal synergy between them .
Jade and dr ratio in 2nd half
Because of follow up atk synergy between them.
2nd choice if 3 banners in 2nd half
Firefly and huo huo 1st half
Jade ,dr ratio and seele in 2nd half .
They ran 2 charcters from same patch in 1.6

With both Boothill and Firefly scaling with Break Effect, I think that there is a huge possibility of RM getting a re-run 2.4.

this made me realize pela ran on luocha & fu xuans debut banner (hook as well for fx). with the randomness of 4 star appearance it might not be a good predictor but it seems like pela will always run with those 2. similar to genshin where gorou (4*) always runs with itto (5*) & kujou sara (4*) always runs with raiden (5*).

Its not hard to predict which new 5-star characters is going to come out in each phase (Its practically confirmed) because when they announce each new character on twitter its always been in order to release time. Also 2.2 isn't the only patch to break the pattern of 2 males and 2 females each patch. 1.4 did this with 4 females (including Guinafen)
At this point, there isnt much prediction to do anymore since hoyo will just put any 4* stars they think fits best.
Does firefly need her lightcone? I need fu xuan as my 3rd sustain for firefly and my dot team because they're too fragile
Either they'll Bring Ratio back for Hunt Meta, or they will Calculate his Rerun Schedule from the number of Banners from (When he was last Free) and Rerun him at least in 2.6. Ie: After Black Swan, Sparkle, Acheron, and maybe Even after Robin, and after Seele and the Stellaron hunters get their 2nd Reruns.

I got so lucky with Yukong is insane, I got her up to E3 with the MoC free one and puling on the first Dan Heng IL banner, all the other 3 just came from off-banners and the permanent one. Love you Yukong, hope you rerun soon
Same. I was lucky to get E6 Yukong in 1.3. The last Eidolon even came from standard banner. She's always in my E2S1 IL team besides Sparkle
Personally I think I'd switch Ratio and Argenti. It doesn't make sense to me having 2 Erudition characters at the same time. It seems that they like having different archetypes running at the same time with the 5-stars.
As for the 4-stars I mostly agree but I could see them doing Misha instead of Gallagher. Having two 4-star Abundance characters on the same banner feels like overkill. Abundance is more specific in role compared to something like 2 Harmony or Nihility.

Tingyun and Misha are the only 4 stars I don't have and my pela is e6 😭

If so it'll probably be in the 2nd half. Or atleast I hope so. I'll be pulling for Boothill myself. I think it would be odd to have her so soon. In my opinion I feel Huo Huo will get a rerun before she does simply bc of the lack of support and sustain for 2.3

I honestly think we'll see Ruan Mei 2nd half. Boothill bringing in break meta + new mode makes me confident that hoyo wants to push Ruan Mei. Putting her with Firefly would be too much at once, so I'm expecting her to be second.
I think Ratio and Huohuo will be 2.4.
My speculation is:
2.2 topaz and fu xuan
2.3 ruen mei and huo huo
2.4 argenti and dr ratio

I doubt well have triple banner already Ik we already have a bunch of characters but I dont think we have enough to keep triple banners comming I think seele will come then in 2.4 four we will get ratio I think its to soon to see ratio but 2.5 for ruan mei so we have to spend becuase of the insane break dps that are coming or we will get ruan mei with firefly to make most spend if they skipped ruan mei or want to get lc or e1 but thats what I think.
Rn, I’m really hoping for memories to be on the LC banners, b/c that would allow for supports like HTB or Ruan Mei without her sig LC to elevate firefly even more.
I think a ruan mei re run could be possible as well since she works really good with break dps like boothill and firefly also witht he new single target event

I heavily doubt they'll put 2 Erudition characters in the same time-space of the banner. Likely they'll put in Huohuo given that she's also in need of a rerun as well. Argenti can be saved for the next patch afterwards.
Seems unlikely to me we see triple banners so soon when something like that is just barely starting in Genshin
I don't forsee it being a Year before we See Triple Banners in HSR cuz Double Banners started so much Earlier then they did in Genshin. I think they'll copy the time-frame of the 1.4 to 1.6 Period (Where they transferred over to single banner to Double banner) and Transfer single rerun to 1 double rerun in 2.4 and full Double reruns right at the end of the 2.x patches.

1:50 it could be that because they gave out a free ratio they knew that new players would probably try and find out what the stronger characters are and that tingyun is one of them so they made the next banner more enticing for new players. No clue what the luka run is for besides maybe that boothill applies physical weakness with his technique?
That would make sense, having Luka apply bleed effects after Boothill breaks an enemy that doesn't usually have physical weakness could be quite useful when dealing with an extremely tough single boss.
i think Gallager will appear on Firefly's banner, because Firefly's kit is all about break damage, and gallager is a great candidate because of the Cinergy
With the current new harmony mc, it is most likely will be break effect meta, so i guess ruan mei will be put on 2.3 rerun, who knows right? Im hope she will be.
Too ridiculous for two Erudition in same phase but it did happen in 1.4 phase 2 with Topaz and Seele first re-run, Sam is Destruction and obviously has Quantum / Thunder / Imaginary weaknesses may have re-run either Seele or Ratio then there's possibility to apply 3 banner in one phase as we will have new end game content called Apocalyptic Shadow starting from 2.3

I can see Gallager return for this banner. Also I got this feeling in my gut. The next new 4 star will be a ZZZ character. To promote the game coming out in July.

Luocha and Aventurine were back to back in 2.1. Fu Xuan and Huohuo aren’t back to back, FX is in 2nd half, so I think Huohuo will be too.
If you just look at the lineup, there’s a consistent “oh this character came out, here have this character coming up”. Kafka rerun? BS comes straight after. DHIL rerun? Sparkle comes right after. Aventurine comes? Topaz and Robin come right after, rip wallets for ppl playing Dr. Ratio FUA teams. Luocha comes? Jingliu comes right after.
So I think it’ll be Boothill comes? Ruan Mei comes right after. I think Argenti will get pushed back like JY & Luocha were.
i want tingyun on the boothill banner or at least one of the next banners because i started playing on the acheron banner and i dont have her yet lol

Theyve been pretty generous giving 4 stars that have synergy with the new banner characters. I could see Misha on Jades banner, it would be a bit soon but still not crazy
I'm gonna go with 2.3 Reruns being Ruan Mei, Huohuo or Dr Ratio (Though I would say the Former is more Likely). I do predict they will start the 3 banner system in 2.4 Earilest

We just got Ruan Mei 2 patches ago. I doubt she'll be back anytime soon.

You're the first person to speculate on Dr.Ratio's rerun this soon, I personally think we'll have Argenti and HuoHuo reruns in 2.3, and then probably Ruan Mei in 2.4. But there is also the possibility that they get super greedy and push Mei into 2.3 because of Boothill and new break set + Sam is a break unit as well, so they will benefit from Ruan Mei.
Argenti is one of my fav characters if not the fav one🥲, but I need new type of dps (thanks to tons of new contents where you need meta characters) in my account so I think I will pull for Boothill, I really wanted Sunday beeing playable in 2.3 but there is Jade... What can I say... I'm really sad and dissapointed. Argenti has to wait now.
I definitely think its gonna be Firefly + Ruan Mei, because with the release of all these break characters, it would be weird for them to not rerun the perfect support to pair with Firefly. Additionally, her LC can also be used on HMC which gives whales more reason to pull extras to use on HMC as well.
My prediction is jade and argenti since knight of beauty is probably related in the story more than just the boss fight before. and maybe ruan mei since she's good with firefly. Or dr.ratio since he's more related to story and its been a while. Damn i got them right nice

When will Kafka's banner returns?
If we follow Hoyo's trend, they love to rerun characters every 4 patch after their release with higher priority over high revenue banners than the low ones, for example how Seele was prioritized over Jing Yuang in 1.4 and Luocha being delayed until 2.1. So my personal guess is in 2.3 we will see reruns in both Ruan Mei and Argenti, considering Huohuo has lower revenue than Luocha.

Wouldnt really make sense. Ratio is still free but ending soon when 2.1 ends. So thats technically 1 patch being Ratioless.
My guess 1st banner Firefly and ruan (this will make people cash out hard) then 4*: asta, gallagher, yukong. 2nd half Jade and Argenti with 4* Misha, Natasha and Sushang. I dont think we will get 3rd banner in 2.3 but if there is one id also wager it would be Seele.

I think ruan mei is getting a rerun in the 1st half of 2.3 having 4 dps banners in one patch would be kinda rough and I don't think huohuo is rerunning, it would make sense especially to generate fomo on people who pulled boothill since she's generally his best support by far

Personally considering how 2.2 isn’t the biggest hitter 2.3 is going to be the stacked banner to stress everyone to pull so i feel that they’ll run firefly and houhou then jade and mei, it would make alot of sense for mei to be in 2.3 with jade because she’s good with dual dps and jade is going to be great in the fua team and if you missed robin then you can try for mei
I’m hoping that huohuo is held off for at least another patch i would rly like topaz and at least firefly as well as huohuo jade would be a bonus and if all of them are so close I’d need a lot more luck than I’ve ever got and I’ve got lucky haha
My 5 star reruns predictions for 2.3 are Ruan Mei and Selee. A buffer and a hunt .

My predictions is that Firefly / Ruan Mei firsth half with Asta, Natasha and Misha. Jade / Dr.Ratio second half with Yukong, Arlan and Sushang.
2.3 most likely will have HuoHuo and Argenti as rerun, as it is basically their turn, but Seele is a strong possibility as well.

Got absolutely shafted by topaz and Robin banners trying to get them both - if Ruan Mei is in 2.3 I will have to save my guarantee for her and wait for robin’s rerun so super hopeful and slightly delusional about her being in 2.4
