    Hé Chris! I’m the designer of this MOC, thank you so much for building and reviewing this MOC, awesome video!
    I recently updated the instructions and did some small modifications to this model. For example, the roof above the door is adapted and I’ve made a possibility to connect the two sides of the castle :)
    If you are interested you can find all information on the updates in the details description on the Rebrickable link you have shared. Again, thank you so much for building and reviewing this castle, I hope you have great joy out of it and good luck with finding space to display it ;)

      Hey JRW! love this build and have built it, the biggest tower top/roof is still very loose and the area above the main door (which is shown as wobbly in the video) is something that should be looked at.
      Absolutely love the build, and I encourage anyone with the means to buy three of these castles to get it.

    This would look really cool opposing the new upcoming 90th anniversary castle (which will also include black falcon knights for it as well!)

    Always loved the wood crossbeams and yellow parts in the 3 in 1 castle. It both adds a nice bit of color AND is very historical to have bits of wooden construction ontop of the stone foundation.

    wow! i personally prefer this alternate build over the other combiner set you covered. whilst the other alternate build was detailed, it felt too cramped & was trying to force all parts into a single build
    but as you said, this build does leave out a lot of pieces
    thanks for covering this Chris!

    I have two already, as I had wanted to build a different ReBrickable model with them but it underwhelmed after building and placing the Lion Knight Castle next to it. Definitely will be getting a third and converting to this model!

I've had them waiting for a few months and finally got the Lego table cleaned up enough to feel I could start working on it. Within a few days of this, you and another channel have both built this set! Glad to see it reviewed.

  • @DragonMasterSubo
    @DragonMasterSubo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Fantastic MOC just only have 3 issues with it.
    The biggest tower top/roof just doesn't really connect. The smaller one seems to connect OK, but the largest one is always loose.
    The small observatory tower can't really fit a minifigure to use the telescope (and the telescope seems to be missing in this video) which is a shame.
    The main entry is just not really attached at all, which was shown in the video. A pair of small 1x2 grey pieces could be used at the top to connect to the main build, which I'll probably just go ahead and do myself. It's very wobbly and stresses the entire front when touched at all.
    Even still, this is by far the most impressive rebrickable I've seen since it's literally 'just buy 3 of these' and not having to source parts from everywhere. It's easily available, still in print, and has incredible parts usage and build techniques.

    • @Nphen
      @Nphen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am building this right now (well, sorting parts right now) and I used Bricksie's sorting video to figure out good ways to sort out the nearly 5000 pieces you get from these 3 sets. After 3 hours, I am only a little more than half done. He and Mrs Bricksie are really efficient, using less than 3 work hours for the whole sort! I saw the completed castle in his Atari build today. I must have missed the livestream!

    Cool idea and shows some tremendous technique but if buying 3 of the 3in1 castle adds up to $300 then you might as well just save up the extra $113 and get the lion knights castle.

    I've already previously built the medieval fortress by mocsout (which also requires 3 sets), however found the 3in1 castles on sale ($100 aud each, where they normally retail at $159.99 aud) and have just ordered another 3 sets so I can build this as well... ain't no way I'm ripping apart my fortress!! 😉
    The only improvement I plan on making is to switch the yellow bricks to tan (for a more worn and less cartoonish look. Did the same thing with my fortress and it looks much better)
