the funny thing about this is.... The whole drive was just me looking for a vending machine in the mountains. Never found it
See you in the comments below!!
Did you have a favorite part?
I watched to the end just to find out if you found one.. anticlimactic 😅😝
To be fair, a vending machine in the mountains would be difficult to find - re-supplying/protecting it is not an easy task. 😅
There's one up the hill on the left at 0:06 😛
My favorite part was seeing lone houses and wondering what it would be like to live there in the beautiful snowy mountains away from the city.
A shame you never found the vending machine, but it's a nice relaxing video anyway.
was it even you.. lol, jk
My favorite part was the driving
😂
I just love all the scenery with the snow
It's been such a cold winter. Really looking forward to spring and the sakura.
Nothing like a peaceful drive out in the snowy countryside! :)
Snowy trees 🥰
The initial drive was impressive. The vehicle didn't seem to slip despite the snow on the road. The road was minimalist and some cases not even there and was only marked with flaggers tape and maybe one sign. You definitely need to be paying attention on that road. I really enjoyed seeing the schoolkids all lined up at the intersection with their brightly colored hats on. Thanks for the pleasant drive, although some of the drive I would definitely be wondering where the rest of the road was.
A good set of winter tires on your car make roads like those a peace of cake tbh. And he was going at a moderate pace as well - just your average winter proven driver there :)
I love everything you do. Thanks again, Norm
Love the ASMR
Lovely drive
This was really fun, I honestly love 'travel' video where you're actually traveling to place. I just couldn't drive in silence like this lol
That is the type of area I like to ride my bike in. During the summer I would be going up all those side roads and exploring.
Beautiful! (Country roads everywhere are never wide enough. You have to take the ditch if you meet someone!)
24th! I love the sound of driving in the winter. Something I miss now that I live in Texas.
Good morning from Canada, norm!
such a beautiful view!
This was a nice change of pace, man those roads are narrow! The mirrors were an amusing touch. Very much looking forward to my trip this December! ❤
Thanks for the drive 💜🤘
Think I just found my new favorite video to put on when I'm on my exercise bike ♥
Even though I love asmr I kinda missed hearing you commenting about the beautiful place and it's history. I will watch the rest tonight to help me relax before bed.
Beautiful scenery, a nice relaxing drive.
I switched from phone to TV to watch this and I'm glad I did. It looks absolutely stunning in 4K at 60fps.
Some of those hairpin turns just inches away from the edge of a mountainside made me a bit worried just seeing you drive them. I imagine its a scary drive at night with the narrow roads and possibility of ice, and limited light! But in the day it looks magestic.
Even the town at the end looks nice and peaceful.
That was a perfect ride.
Weirdly, it doesnt sound like Mr. Norm is driving, but gliding through the road instead (if just listening from phone speaker).. which is awesome. 👍
Absolutely enjoyed this!!! Was relaxing, Absolutely beautiful...I will watch this a few times!! Thank you for sharing!!!!!
We finally got a decent amount of snow this weekend, it's been nothing but dustings for weeks, was driving me nuts!
Thanks for the videos. That was very relaxing, I had some mellow music playing in the background. It was the perfect mix. Thanks again.
This would be awesome if you used 360 camera if possible. then it would be like a being passenger and look around.
Amazing video. Such a beautiful place. Hope to see it myself quite soon. Planning to eventually move there.
6 mins in and I read the tittle.... Was getting strong "Are we there yet" vibes. 🤣🤣
Nothing like a casual drive while eatting some eggs and bacon in the morning
I've never really liked driving in the snow, even though I drive a pretty sure-footed car. So I'll let you do it for me!
Actually, I've found you get a real sense of accomplishment when you can successfully make it from A to B in snowy conditions.
That being said, those narrow, winding mountain roads would be pretty stressful for me. Those switchbacks are terrifying! I admire your calm attitude.
After about two minutes, I'd be talking to the car: "Easy, now. Gently does it. Watch out for that patch of snow on the road." I'm surprised my car doesn't tell me to shut up and drive!😂
In an odd way, this is both peaceful and a bit nerve-wracking. Peaceful in that it is just the sound of the car on the road and the scenery passing by. Nerve-wracking in that those narrow roads, tight turns and unexpected on-coming traffic make me worried that this will be your LAST video!😧
Nice drive lovely views
very scenic, I love it!
Gorgeous views! Buuuuut idk if I'd be able to navigate those roads *with* snow >.>
J'ai adoré la vidéo ! ❤
i envy you for the beautiful scenery you drove through.... but those narrow streets lowkey give me anxiety 😅
I just love your videos ❤❤ snow is my favorite ❄️
I was watching an older video you made on Japans most beautiful city. You mentioned you were going to do a 6hour stream. The limit is at 11-12 hours for your information :). Pirate software(streamer) mentions this :)!
On pc. I actually dont know the limit while livestreaming on a phone but i feel its should be the same :D! Thanks for the videos Norm!
@SpaceOrAi I think the livestream limit is much higher. I know Square Enix does a livestream from a camera in Final Fantasy 11 and whenever they stop streaming the video is thousands of hours long! I can't imagine how long that takes to process, lol. Maybe how long it can be depends on certain factors... who knows?
But yeah, 6 hours should be fine.
Plot focus: the moment the snow disappears. 😢
looks beautiful, but man does that look stressful to drive through!
Loved all of it, but I'm really wondering - what do you do if a car comes at you from the other direction? Going by the signs along the road it's not a one-way street but most places don't really look like they'd fit two cars side by side either?
Wow, the video looks really nice.
How did you make it? It looks like the camera is mounted outside with some sort of stabilization
Camera is linked in the description
@@TokyoLensExplore Thank you for the reply! I've seen the camera model, I was more wondering of a mounting system you used 😊
It doesn't look like a software stabilization at all
Just a suction cup from Amazon
Stabilization is all in the camera
Lovely drive~! Is this a rental car and did it come with winter tires? Also, how did you mount the camera? I always have fear that it will fall off in colder weather. Would like to take my own car on these roads but alas, there are not mountain roads in Toronto :/
very scenic drive.
does anyone know how the roads will be last week of March? I planning on driving from Takamatsu to the abandoned school, drive down to the scarecrow village. Then drive to Matsuyama. I was looking into renting a car, and it asks if I want to rent snowchains/snow tires. I am not sure if I need them.
👍🏻👍🏻
Was Japan’s driving test easy as a Canadian?
A nice relaxing drive through snowy mountain roads in Japan. Thanks for the ride Norm! 😊
Do you have any of those long "Live" walks coming up? It's been quite a while, and I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms 😉
I love the scenery but the narrow roads make me nervous.
Needs more eurobeat
The part from the beginning till the end I really liked! Such beautiful scenery 💖
I like the part when he drove the car.
😂
The only part that was missing was your voice. I halfway expected to hear a co-driver calling out corners like a rally race.
Quite an enjoyable viewing experience. I hope the drive was enjoyable for you. :D
This is potentially not too far off drifting Norm 😅
Would have been screaming like a banshee the whole way down!!
Did anyone see a yeti by chance, I looked but couldn't ? I could be hiding out on one of the Islands, they can't find it in Tibet, You never know unless you try !
💜 💜 💜 winding through all the curves popping in and out of the trees to layered mountain views. My favorite so far (I'm only half way through) is from a minute in, where you're driving in semi gloomy snowy conditions and then you find where the sun comes breaking through and it's casting sunny patches along the route. Have an awesome week, Norm 💜✌️🐦 also PS lot of critters on that warning sign, switchback curves woohoo, and 😱 on road that's fallen away from the guardrail, but 😘 on the bridge trusses reflecting on the hood of the car
And the even better question of if you found the vending machine, did you have the coins to get what you wanted if it didn't take Suica 😜
💯💝
But no Initial D style drifting down the mountain (either on purpose or not given the road conditions :( )
I imagine those roads get pretty slick at night more so the areas that have tree coverage. Drive dangerous JK drive safe.
Si los vehículos O y Q están virando a la izquierda. ¿Cuál de estos vehículos está en mejor posición de virar a la derecha a la calle X🥵🤒🚧? El vehículo O🛣.
How fast were you driving?
Maybe 25 km/h
Where abouts was this?
Norm, your most unusual video by far, you being quiet I mean. lol
But enjoyed it very much, thank you. :-)
Beautiful drive. Why does the sound cut out?
Wind lol
Should've added ASMR at the end of the title Norm. I found it very relaxing and I'm not even half way through the video yet 😂
that rattling sound is tough to listen to
Vid has a volume button 😊
First
Muting the video and putting on Eurobeat music while you drive the hairpin turns.
Lol almost drifting 😅 That fist minute in on the big corner I thought I saw a wibbly wobbly moment 🫣
Nobody is drifting at 20km/h lol
