I wonder … did that grand musical instrument ever have so much FUN making music?? Jon and Tom are surely masters of transcribing madness and amusement. Bravo!!!
Maestro, you're unbelievable. :) An absolute flawless performance. I'm speechless. :)🤩🤩
Being present at that concert was a real treat. The encore (Tritsch-Tratsch Polka) was a brilliant encore and brought the house down. Fantastic!!
I'm seriously speechless with this performance
This is really grand
This Concert truly was an "Organ Spectacular" and then the surprise of this exuberant Encore !
Well done Jonathan 👏🏻
Thanks to Tom for filming 👏🏻
Mother of God, what virtuosity!!
Jonathan's thing seems from another planet!! I have never seen anything like this in my life!! It's incredible, it seems insurmountable. What perfection.Congratulations!!
By the way, I already have tickets for the next lunchtime organ concert on June 24th at Bridgewater Hall!!
Thank you for this nice gift!!👏👏❤😘😘💖
Today I was in the audience of your world class performance in the NOSPR hall in Katowice, Poland. My wife is not too much into classical music, but she was very happy to hear this performance. Even though, it was not in the agenda! It was a true pleasure to hear you live, Jonathan. You must've spent you whole life on mastering this instrument and it pays off very well. Using the bells implemented into NOSPR's organs was a pretty exotic experience. Thank you so much. Hope to see you again!
Unbelievably brilliant. Even better live than on TH-cam!
Fabulous encore! I'd have been interested to see your heart rate at the end of that piece!! It is wonderful to see how well attended your concerts are. Thank you both for this little gem. xx
It was a great concert! I loved the Hungarian Rhapsody. Thank you.
👍....dizzying......breathtaking.
Congratulations, Jonathan! It's incredibly beautiful and the music sounds really difficult! And the auditorium is very crowded! Thank you both for this amazing video!
I grew up going to a Baptist church in Oklahoma City (USA). I was not exposed to the classical composers. Hearing the music that Mr. Scott produces is utter joy. I never knew that the organ was capable of producing such beautiful music.
Whew! Jonathan must be so fit!
Absolutely magnificent! Bravo!!!!! 👏🏼🙌🏼♥️
Hallo!!
Very well Done!!!!
Thanks❤❤
With Love from the Netherlands.
Astonishing performance!
Wheeeeee!!!! 💃💃 Awesome. Bravo!👏👏👏👏👏🎹🎶
Wow! Impressive as always. Bravo!
Absolutely wonderful Jonathan!👏👏👏❤️
Terrific encore completing an amazing concert
Love this, and you didn't miss a note! Thanks Brothers. XX
Absolutely wonderful and amazing performance 👏👏👏👏 looking forward for your concert in Poland next week ❤️
I can't believe it!!! I was just think of cartoons in the U.S. from the very early 1960's with this background music that I watched when I was very young. I was wondering for decades the name and here it is!
Fantastic Performance I Enjoyed It 😊
Yes!!!
Marvelous ❤❤❤❤❤
Bravo! Wish I could come in person, but alas, I live across the pond.
Ah c’était excellent ! You should be playing this in Vienna at the New Year's concert :-)
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏Che abilità.... complimenti!!!!!!!
You two brothers are brilliant ,,, organ & piano, always playing well known & enjoyable things! Thankyou, thankyou! From Robin in NZ
This was like: "I should play very quickly, because we have very tasteful dinner and I am already soo hungry." 🙂 But aside - perfect performance!
Such a bouncy and entertaining piece!!!!
Fantastic playing
I was and, it’s way louder in real life!
👏🏿🤞🏿👍🏿👏🏿
The Best! ❤
The speed! it makes some parts sounding like little bells.
Beyond words.
Очень мило !!! Такая веселая музыка вдохновляет сшить какое - нибудь очень красивое платье . Спасибо ❤ !
Bravo Bravo Encore encore
Lively ‘n lovely
Grandissimo 🎉
I would like if you could share the piece of Voi Che
Sapete (Mozart).
Please in organ.❤
Great music and amazing player !
Can you please do a video of Ruslan and Ludmila overture by Glinka at the Bridge Water Hall?
Wow🖖
Amazing. I never would have thought this could be played on an organ. When you're playing something this fast, do you have to block out the sound coming from the instrument because it's so far behind what your fingers and feet are playing?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎁
When does the Vienna Philharmonic come in!? (This piece was on the demo record for my parents' first stereo and we blasted it). From Chicago, U.S.A.
It was from the movie robots and this is awesome!
Notes were great, wanted to hear a lot more registrations and changes,
Wonderful performance -- thanks! I suppose you don't do popular music, but I think a version of ABBA's "The day before you came" by Jonathan should be spectacularly beautiful -- so well-suited for the organ! If you ever decide to do popular music, please consider this one.
When are you touring America?
You can - and do! - play any organ anywhere, but am i right in feeling this (instrument and hall) is your "home ground"? You seem very at home with it.
Tom: is there a reason you don't date your videos, either in the credits at the end or in the notes on TH-cam? You usually give the place/venue.
Yes Jonathan is the organist in residence for Bridgewater Hall so this is his ‘home’ instrument but that being said he plays regularly on a lot of other local instruments and of course many others around the world on tour.
I think that is the most stressed I have ever seen Jonathan looking while playing. Does the speed make it really quite difficult?
That does seem rather faster than most orchestral perfomances - was that deliberate, or a case of having started off that way, one has to carry on?! :-)
Esta muy perrona la rola (en México así lo podríamos calificar como muy buena actuación) saludos
Is the composition really THAT fast?
This is an encore at the end of a full concert. Does the speed really matter? It's a bit of/lot of [quite amazingly demanding] fun.
This transcription sounded rushed. I'm going to have to listen to the orchestral version as a comparison.
I think you are missing the fact that this is a fun encore at the end of a concert for the musically-interested public (not the musical snobs.)
It's supposed to be a 'show-off' piece to amaze the audience.
TH-cam at speed x0,75 is better; slightly slow rather than madly fast.
@@PMA65537 At your suggestion, I have just heard the video again, first at the slower speed, then at the normal speed.
Remarkably (to me) the slower speed does sound perfectly acceptable, in that there are no obvious flaws revealed, which might be missed at 'normal' speed, showing that Jonathan is in control of the performance, even at a break-neck pace.
Now, whether an individual prefers a certain speed is down to personal preference, of course, and I agree that it does sound hectic, played at his speed in this video. But this is, after all, a novelty at the end of a concert, and I don't suppose it was ever meant to sound 'artistic'.
