      I feel that for the record I need to chime in on Mink Oil, I haven't experienced any issues with the leather not breathing with my boots but they shed water very well. After a days wear my feet are still dry. Now I have heard that it may dissolve natural fiber stitching but I haven't experienced that either on my jackboots.

    Hi, Jeremiah. My husband was a big fan of yours and was always showing me your cowboy boot videos. He spent hours and hours making his boots look nice (chippewas, Justins, his harness boots). He suddenly died on February 8th of this year, a week after getting his first pair of Tecovas boots and raving about how good they looked and how excited he was. I made sure to bury him in those beautiful new Tecovas boots. I just wanted to share and let you know that your videos were a centerpiece of conversation between my husband and me while we worked together cleaning and polishing our cowboy boots. I miss it a lot.

    Your video reminded me of my first pair of boots which were brown harness Boots but we're called Western Snoot Boots back in the early '70s. I was a teenager in highschool and my boots were noticed by everyone... Both Students and teachers.... The girls loved my boots but the guys made rude comments. I think the guys were just jealous. You look so good in Harness boots, if you're looking for a harness boots which have a pointy toe go and look for the 'Billy harness' it has two finishes to it. and also it's stonewashed (badass technique)

    I have both my feet thanks to the engine guards on my previous motorcycle and the boulet on my Sendra boots. I torn the front of a car off..... with my foot. Unbelievably, I got a crack on my ankle, no surgery required. That ankle ain’t totally normal anymore and might never be, but people who saw the car and the bike can’t believe I was walking again in 2 moths. The boots survived too btw. About 20 usd for re-glueing and nailing the hill and good to go.

    There is a channel I watch that reviews a wide range of outdoor related products and I would love to see you implement his idea for boots.
    Overview
    Testing video(s) You could go for a walk/hike, work in them or something else.
    Final Review
    This way the viewer gets more content and you get more subscribers. Plus the this makes the content quality go up because it doesn't cram everything into 1 video. The only limitation tho is money to buy these boots. So take this idea with a grain of salt because the outdoor related community seems to be a lot larger than cowboy boot enthusiasts.

    My first pair of boots were black Boulet harness boots (model 0017). I wasn't daring enough yet to wear cowboy boots. In Québec, cowboy boots are really a fashion statement... Unfortunately, I had to sell my harness boots because they were too tight for me. And then I got me a pair of Boulet 1867 cowboy boots. But I sure do want to buy me another pair of those black harness one day.
    From my experience the "E" in Boulet is really a "D". My large feet need EEE. But I have seen some models that offered EE.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's an awesome first pair sorry to hear they were too tight. The sizing is a little different so it's tough to find a good pair that fits if you're used to other boots. Hope you get the harness boots again soon!

    • @JeremiahCraig

      There are several conditioners that will help you stretch your boot. Try Scout Boot Stretch. You don't want your boots too tight though. They should be snug and a little tight where your foot is the widest. Around the ball of the foot. But you should also have a little heel slip too. Around a fingers width of slip.

    I love Boulet cowboy boots, I’m on my second pair, I bought the first in the early 90s - so they are built to last. Yes, they are comfy right out of the box. The Frye harness boot, or motorcycle boot, isn’t as soft - they are a lot stiffer out of the box, and take years to break in - however, I think they are a tougher, longer lasting boot. I have a pair of Boulet harness boots, not the style shown here, they are a little more feminine, probably not for riding, just for fashion. Possibly I am going to look into the Boulet harness..I want a lighter color than the dark brown Frye harness boots I have.

    • @JeremiahCraig

    • @wilsjane
      @wilsjane 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frye boots are definitely harder to break in, but the hard leather uppers and leather soles made them ideal for when we were burning the stubble.
      To save burning embers getting inside our boots, we wore our jeans outside, so guys not wearing leather jeans ended up having to snuff their smoldering Levi's out against their boots and it never damaged the leather.
      As you can imagine, we used a lot of Neatsfoot oil. LOL.
