Nice video! You saved me last year with your easy hat in chunky yarn for my daughter’s Christmas gift. She loved it and it only took a few hours of my day to knit it. She wore the hat on her hiking trip when she was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in late September this year. I’m now knitting a Sophie shawl for a dear friend who recently lost her husband of 57 years in August. It’s a joy to watch your videos as you wait for your first newborn! ❤❤
I am planning Darling Cardigan as my next knit. And I want to say HUGE thank you for video tutorials. I am a complete beginner, so a visual guide is very useful.
So true, also wanted to say thank for your effort producing Video Tutorials. In the past, I bought some patterns from a big danish pattern designer and the videos were only available in Danish … 😕
You’ve inspired me to get back into knitting again. I used to knit Icelandic sweaters with fair isle patterns. I could even design my own patterns in graph paper. I just finished a plain striped baggy sweater in fall colours that I love to wear. Now I’m considering socks.
I was so happy to see your video pop up. Gosh Kika, you don’t think you’re a fast knitter? You pump out so many new designs and multiples of each one so quickly. Of all of the knitwear designers I watch, you would definitely be the top of the list for fastes, and they’re more complicated textured patterns. I’ve been wanting to finish my Salty Days sweater but for some reason I keep losing a stitch somewhere and was getting so frustrated I had to put it down for a bit. I really want it done for Christmas but I don’t know. I had major hip surgery, having tens muscle reattached so I have plenty of knitting time, but the frustration I was having just made me stop and I’m working on my mindless Sonja sweater by Petite Knit. The Salty Days I am making in the beautiful cobalt (electric) blue color with Drops Daisy 100%Merino. Maybe I will pick it up again today. But if I just wait until next week I can get my Sonja finished. Maybe I will do that. And finding out I am going to be a grandma for the first time I want to knit some booties and things for Mom and Dad to open even though baby won’t come until summer. 😊
I love the new cable sweater... would love to see a video on how you cut out the rib and picked up the stitches again....lived this video and all your projects.
When I had my daughter, I took about 6 weeks off from working and then worked from home. Newborns sleep a lot but also don’t stress if you’re a bit less productive at first. When I became a parent, my time management skills became awesome haha. You and your husband will be wonderful parents!
Your work is so beautiful. I feel lazy next to you but after working a 10 hour day looking at 4 computer monitors I feel so tired. At times I just get out a project and hold it as my eyes just don’t want to work together. You do excite me with your lovely personality and make me want to do more-so here I go!
You are such a joy to watch, I love your bubbly personality 😊 I bought a few of your patterns last week when they were on sale, I’m so excited to start them! I’m also due in the spring with a baby boy, so fun to join you on this journey!
Suggestion: 1-put project in a clear see through bag and hang the bags up on hooks. You can see them. 2-Breast feeding sweaters is a brilliant idea. 3-button vests are convenient to wear when breast feeding.
Always love your videos❤You have helped my knitting tremendously!! More than that… thank you for your authenticity during your ups and downs over the years! Sometimes you feel alone and feel you are the only one going through life’s struggles!! I am so excited for your sweet family and all the blessings ahead! Thank you for all you do❤️💐
I just bought two of your sweater patterns for my daughter's gift. I have never knitted a sweater before, but looking forward to it. Now to find the correct cotton yarn in the USA…
If you were still considering an oversized sweater, but also something that resembles a “wrap,” then you should do a looser version of the Elliot sweater from Wool and the Gang! I know you create your own patterns, but their pattern is free on their website if you wanted some inspiration :) I think it would be really convenient since the front folds can easily be moved out of the way, without having to completely unwrap a sweater! Can’t wait to see more videos from you once you’re ready 🥰🫶
Such an inspiring video. I always play your videos when I'm lagging and need to finish a project. It's like knitting with a friend. Thank you for all your hard work 💜
Knitting for the baby is so much fun and baby stuff is so cute. Knit a blanket to bring the baby home from the hospital in. Here in the u s its called a receiving blanket. I knitted one for each of my children and i still have them.
I enjoy watching your videos. For a long time I only knit in class with my instructor. I tried your Marshmellow beanie pattern and I was so encouraged I could make hats by myself! Thank you. I have made 3 -two of them for gifts.
You're my favorite knitwear designer!! Everything you showed in this video is so beautiful. I love your unique sense of style. Looking forward to the pattern releases.
Thanks for your inspiration. Since I saw your videos, I don't feel guilty about having several projects on the needle. At the moment I'm knitting a wrap cardigan. All the best to you.
your excitement when talking all things knitting & yarn is so contagious, love watching you work & play, you seem to always have fun all i want to do is learn seamless knitting, have started a very basic top down cardigan i found on the TH-cam which i do a few rows every morning if cool enough (it's summer here) curious to know if you ever do men designs or knit for your hubby? keep up the fun & thanx for sharing
I believe the word you are looking for in relation to your second sleeve is 'procrastination' which means delaying or postponing something that should be done. The sweater is gorgeous.
Hi Kika,,Congratulations for your baby..i have been watching you since your wedding dress video and you are a huge inspirations for me..i love your energy and you are glowing in this video..thanku..and best of luck and best of health for you and family..
GM Love all your pods Your sweaters are beautiful colours You look so cute pregnant can’t wait to see the knits for baby and when he arrives Have a great weekend soon to come .. and lots of knitting 💝🥰
Always Very happy when a new episode from you shows up! Thank you for your hard work. Please, could you please consider having videos without the very loud background music? I find it extremely difficult to concentrate on what you are saying in this video, the music took over for me completely. Thank you.
I adore you and all your knitting. I am thrilled the Wishbone sweater KAL is almost done. I am finishing some Christmas gifts and the wishbone will be next on my needles. I love the red WIP with the flat cables. I am looking forward to that pattern for sure! I have been following you for about a year but my account never allowed me to comment. I created this 2nd account just so I can comment! Love and adore you! So happy for your pregnancy. Congratulations!
Enjoying your videos and watching your preparation for your baby. It's fun to see you and Juki together creating your nest. It is inspiring to see so many of your yarn projects and encouraging since I'm deep into Christmas knitting and my projects are growing into mountains of finished works. December is crunch knitting time for a few last items, but I'm still excited to be preparing them for everyone. Just one sweater to finish and two vests to go for the family. I also have a few puppy knitting projects to do.
Greetings! Nice video! I am currently working on the Love Letter Top! I am doing 3 colors instead of one. They are White, light sea green, and grey. I’m close to finishing and can’t wait to wear it! I have a 19 month old son and I’m just getting a chance to knit a little more consistently. Just pace yourself. You may not have the time or even feel up to a lot of knitting for several months after the baby comes. Happy knitting 😄🤸🏽♀️💙
Love your podcast. You are so positive and energetic. I am working on my first ever knit skirt. Two cables down the front and two more in the back offset by seed stitch. I am knitting in deep browny red like a raisin. Size 9 US Needles. Such fun. Love you pink pull over/vest!
Thank you so much...love your enthusiasm and aesthetic....the background sound at the start made it a struggle for me though...I was relieved when it stopped
I love seeing all of your beautiful knits! I am currently working on Andrea Mowry's Ginny cardigan and I'm knitting it in a rustic alpaca and wool blend from a small spinnery. I got this yarn at a fiber festival and I am loving it.
Hi Kika, I'm much later watching your video than usual, lots of things going on at home!! You are such an inspiration, a joy to watch. So enthusiastic about all your projects. You have so many ideas that come to fruition so quickly. Thank you for all you do, especially the tutorials. I have made "The Sunday Brunch" and "The Salty Days", but as I'm useless with Instagram I've not posted them. Next on my needles is "The Darling Cardigan" followed by either "Arctic Light", "Stripe Hype", "Wishbone" or "Cinema". 😃♥ Wishing you a very happy Christmas and New Year. Your little one will soon be here! xx
Congratulations for your amazing work and for your beautiful smile! As always, your newest two sweater are wonderful, I'm waiting their patterns with great interest, but please be careful to not knitting too much just now. You must be relaxed for you and the baby. Thank you again so much for this new episode, you are so talented and such a wonderful person. 😊🤗❤
I really enjoyed this vide! It was a great time to take a pause and just knit for a little while. You're making so many beautifull things! I've knitted a few of your patterns now and they're so clear and I love the way you write your patterns. Keep on doing the things you love in a pace that suits you! 🥰
Just started knitting my first clothing item, your sailor swift top. im doing 2 shades of blue and loving it. The video is so helpful to watch alongside the pattern. Thank you!
Love watching and listening, your voice and attitude is so soothing. I am going to start knitting again because of you!! Thank you for sharing with us, the baby looks beautiful on you! ❤️ Tina ❤️
I am always so inspired by you and your knits!! I would love some tips on how you keep so many active projects organized. the more wips I have the messier things get in my space 😅 if I cast on something new I have to pick a project to tuck away somewhere and when I pull it back out it’s all tangled or something!
So I don’t live as far north as Finland, though I kinda wish I did because I’m always hot and I love sweaters. But I love the shoulder/sleeve length of the red raglan. I think it would be a great short sleeve sweater for warmer weather or layering. Your knits have definitely inspired me to pick up sweater knitting- and to not be intimidated by hand knitting them! I have yarn stashed for my own sweater adventures, just gotta finish all the Christmas slippers and a shawl
Hi Kika, I like your new Cozy Cocoa Hood. I am looking forward to a pattern for that one. I am also enjoying your new, red sweater, your oatmeal (size 4 needles) cables, your vest/slipover, and your chocolate wishbone sweater. Have you made a baby blanket yet? I hope you'll be nice to yourself, by getting work stuff done in advance, so you can focus more attention on your baby. For sizing, remember that babies grow quickly, so you may want to knit roomier garments, with pullstrings they can't get ahold of. My nephew is nearly 3, and he's as tall as a 4-year-old, always constantly and consistently bigger than expected. I really enjoyed the jazz in the background of this video; it reminds me of the theme music from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
I'm knitting the Arctic Light Sweater and I love it so much that I'm already planning to knit it again in a different colour 😊 thank you for the video instructions, Kika! I wouldn't make it without it. Love from Vienna ❤
You're looking so great and healthy talking about the baby and you're projects. Maybe there will be a little pattern book for babies and toddlers in one or two years. 😊❤
Hello from Ireland ☘☘ I love your energy and enthusiasm, I wish you well with the rest of your pregnancy and hopefully your work routine will fit into your new life with your bundle of joy.
It's incredibly cool to hear how your voice changes, matching native pronunciation of the different yarn brands! I thought you were Norwegian when you mentioned Sandnes garn, Swedish when you mentioned a Swedish brand and Finnish again when you mentioned the name of the Finnish brand! Very impressive even if it might just be a coincidence! And incredibly cosy to hear you talk about you baby as well, wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy
oooh I can't wait to make that slipover! I just found out that I dropped two stitches in my salty days sweater, but due to the structure of the yarn they didn't rip at all, which is both a blessing and a curse because nothing is broken but it took me since last night to find them. :'D so I just picked them back up and completed my round while watching this video hehe.
I really enjoyed seeing what you are working on and would you believe it, tomorrow I am starting your Salty Days sweater in red! I’ve wanted to knit this sweater since you released it but just haven’t gotten around to it. So tomorrow I start it and it will be my advent project for December! I’m also on the last few rows of knitting your Lighthouse Beanie and that one is in a very dark burgundy pink colour. I can’t wait to wear it 😊
I’m currently knitting the Juki sweater from your book! I’m planning on giving it to my husband for Christmas. I love your videos and seeing your knitting progress, looking forward to your pride and pearls pattern xx
I love the simplicity of the Cinema Sweater. That gray one is just wonderful. Also, I'm amazed you can still knit during pregnancy. I couldnt even look at yarn during pregnancy, I would get so sick lol I don't know why! Thankfully that went away postpartum 😅 Audio sounds sooo much better, by the way!
You are so sweet & always smiling & laughing. Your work is extraordinary & amazing. You explain things so well. I am 83 & been K & C for 30-35 years but just simple things. It seems to be harder now I am older. I am praying for you & baby. God’s miracle 🙏
I was the same, just thinking about little stitches made me dizzy! Thankfully it was just the first trimester for me. So sad to lose this hobby for a while!
@@knitandtoelle that is crazy! I thought I was the only one. At least you got to back in after that dreaded first trimester. I missed it so much the whole time. I wish I could have made so many baby items, but like I said, even looking at my yarn stash made me want to hurl. Lol definitely made up for that lost time, though. 😊
I’m working on the Arctic light sweater and some mittens. When the pattern comes out for the Pride and Pearls cardigan I will cast that one on also. I already bought the yarn! 💕
Nice video😍 and I realise once more that you are a passionate knitter with more than one project on your needles😍 🤍✨️ knitting my darling cardigan and watching this video was the perfect way to enjoy my evening 😍💫
As usual a truly inspirational video. I have several projects which I need to finish so will push on. What beautiful garments. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to the baby knits. Best wishes to you and your family
Yes! So Happy to hear the Wishbone Tutorial is almost ready! I bought the pattern and yarn already. You are so talented! Thank you for another great video
Hey Kika ! Thanks for the update. I really love the poppy color, it brightens up your skintone :) I'm still struggling with the wishbone sweater so I'm glad and thankfull for the tutorial. I hope I can wear it on Christmas !
Love you so much! Look forward to your videos! I pray for you, your husband and sweet baby boy-you will make great parents! Enjoy feeling the baby move! It's the best! ❤
We are due right around the same time and I’m scrambling for what to wear next year! But your pearl and pride sweater is top of my 2024 list, can’t wait!
I loved seeing your projects! It's inspiring for me to keep moving along with my WIPs! You have such a passion for knitting and your videos are such a joy to watch. You have that pregnancy glow happening now too! :)
So much inspiration in one video! I love your energy and your knitting style and design taste soooo much. Every pattern I've knit of yours so far has been such a joy. I can't wait to see what comes next and to continue supporting you and anything you do! Congratulations and good luck with your new baby :)
Well, now I have so many things I want to make, tyvm! 😄 Can't wait for the patterns! And I want to use flurpsy now as word! I love it! Thank you for all the beautiful inspiration!

"An idea forming on your needles", so beautifully said!

Those two,3 cable sweaters are all beautiful, love the basic red one, and the dreamy pink one with the waist cord is stunning! ❤
You are such a joy to watch, I love your bubbly personality 😊 I bought a few of your patterns last week when they were on sale, I’m so excited to start them! I’m also due in the spring with a baby boy, so fun to join you on this journey!
you look great! I can't believer how much you are working on...wow! I can't make myself finish my first cardigan, it been months...lol!
You're my favorite knitwear designer!! Everything you showed in this video is so beautiful. I love your unique sense of style. Looking forward to the pattern releases.
Please, please, release the PRIDE & PERL pattern with a video tutorial too. It looks so BEAUTIFUL, but also kind of complicated. 😊😊
Thanks for your inspiration. Since I saw your videos, I don't feel guilty about having several projects on the needle. At the moment I'm knitting a wrap cardigan.
All the best to you.
your excitement when talking all things knitting & yarn is so contagious, love watching you work & play, you seem to always have fun
all i want to do is learn seamless knitting, have started a very basic top down cardigan i found on the TH-cam which i do a few rows every morning if cool enough (it's summer here)
curious to know if you ever do men designs or knit for your hubby?
keep up the fun & thanx for sharing
I live in the southern U. S. and I will definitely make the cooler ones. They are so beautiful.
I believe the word you are looking for in relation to your second sleeve is 'procrastination' which means delaying or postponing something that should be done. The sweater is gorgeous.
So much inspiration, thank you, I love your design work, your esthetics, your style and your energy.
Hi Kika,,Congratulations for your baby..i have been watching you since your wedding dress video and you are a huge inspirations for me..i love your energy and you are glowing in this video..thanku..and best of luck and best of health for you and family..

Just love this pink slipover! I am so going to knit that! 😊 love all that you do!

Thanks Kika for this moment & for the free month skills share 🎉
This is the most wholesome video ever🥹😍
Lots of joy brought to me as a new viewer! Thank you 🌸
I am always so inspired by you and your knits!! I would love some tips on how you keep so many active projects organized. the more wips I have the messier things get in my space 😅 if I cast on something new I have to pick a project to tuck away somewhere and when I pull it back out it’s all tangled or something!
The colours are beautiful

Hello kika. Don't worry about the coming of your baby. You have everything to be a good and buzy mum😊
Can't wait for those 2 cable sweaters to be done. They look beautiful. I love cabling.
Thank you Kiki I love your podcast ,take it easy your fantastic knitter and good Teacher
You're looking so great and healthy talking about the baby and you're projects. Maybe there will be a little pattern book for babies and toddlers in one or two years. 😊❤

I am absolutely going to knit the pride and pearls when it comes out! I can't wait! xxx
A pleasure to watch your videos, beautiful knits , bright and cheerful, lovely 😊
Thankfully that went away postpartum 😅
Audio sounds sooo much better, by the way!
I can't wait to knit that v-neck! I also get second-sleeve syndrome, so I have to make them at the same time.
I love your cabled sweaters. They’re beautiful!! Doing the second sleeve is like doing the second sock! 🤦♀️
I’m working on the Arctic light sweater and some mittens. When the pattern comes out for the Pride and Pearls cardigan I will cast that one on also. I already bought the yarn! 💕
Nice video😍 and I realise once more that you are a passionate knitter with more than one project on your needles😍 🤍✨️
